Why Digvijay is linking MIM with BJP?

Congress party that has been accusing the ruling TRS government for encouraging defections, now accuses it for clinching MIM party from its hand. It is quite upset to see MIM jumps into TRS lap just, when GHMC elections are round the corner. So, Telangana state Congress party is prepared to fight alone without MIM. So, it is now trying to woo the minorities for the same purpose. It held a meeting with minority leaders at Imperial Garden, Secunderabad on Sunday for this purpose.   State political affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh, who attends this meeting declared that his party is snapping ties with MIM. He sharply criticized MIM for playing double game with Congress party. He said “MIM clings to our party as long as we were in power in the state and jumps into TRS lap as it comes into power now. MIM is also has a secret pact with BJP. Some of its actions are providing advantage to BJP in the city. I challenge MIM to reveal whether they have a secret pact with BJP or not. It is unfortunate to see it playing double game with Muslim community also. However, it makes no difference for our party whether they all join hands or have secret pacts or contest alone. Congress party has the ability to face any kind of challenges. So we will face the GHMC elections without any alliance. We strongly condemn Telangana CM KCR encouraging defections in other parties,” said Digvijay Singh.   Digvijay Singh has made it clear that he dropped into Hyderabad only to woo the minorities, on whom the parties’ electoral chances are depend. Although, Congress party is known for its secular stand, it is also known for treating minorities as just vote bank and nothing else.   Digvijay Singh makes hue and cry because Congress alone can’t make any dent on Muslim community in the city without MIM support. Digvijay is aware that BJP and MIM have strong hold on the Hyderabad city. Now TRS also joins the race.   He tried to link MIM with BJP to create some suspicion among the Muslim community and to ruin electoral chances of both parties. He is criticizing CM KCR because he is upset to see him clinching MIM from Congress hands. Digvijay Singh might be well aware that there will be no room left for his party, if the ruling TRS, MIM BJP and TDP may grab the lion share of votes in GHMC elections. However, he has no other option but face the challenge. So, He declared snapping ties with MIM that already snaps ties with his Congress party long back.

AP government signs MoU to set-up Entertainment City

Few days ago, media was abuzz with the reports that AP government has signed a MoU with a foreign company for setting-up a theme park like Disney Land at Vizag. Here is the latest update about that theme park. AP government has signed a MoU with UK based Eros Investments Ltd., (EIL) on Saturday for constructing a similar project, but not Disney Land exactly. An entertainment city consisting cinema halls, pre and post production facilities for movie, TV and Commercial Ads making, theme parks, shopping malls, commercial and residential complexes, amusement park, hotels and leisure and healthcare facilities will be built by EIL. EIL that is also engaged in film production and distribution businesses of Indian films in multiple languages worldwide will utilize this new facility for making Indian films. It also has plans to set-up a boutique investment banking firm in association with Euromax Capital Ltd. Apart from these activities, EIL will also form strategic partnerships and collaborations with the business firms in the state to take part in development of the city and state. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu said once this project is started it will create lot of direct and indirect employment opportunities to the youth and to related sectors. He expects a multi fold increase in the state revenue with this project, as it will become a major tourist attraction in the state. Though, it is not revealed where this project is coming-up, Vizag may get it as it is already stood a benchmark for tourism in the state.

Anyone invites YSR party to Telangana?

YSR Congress party that jumps out of Telangana state before bifurcation of the state is now planning to return there. Jagan has assigned his sister YS Sharmila this difficult task. She will try to re-launch the party in Telangana state with her ‘Paramarsha Yatra’ scheduled to begin from December 8th in Mehboob Nagar district. She will visit Shad Nagar, Jedcharla, Kalvakurthi, Achchampeta, Makthal, Kodamgal, Vanaparthi and Gadwal Assembly constituencies and meet the bereaved family members of those persons died with heart attacks, who are unable to digest Dr. Rajashekhar Reddy’s sudden death, some six years ago. So, they are expected to recall the memories of their deceased family members on this eve so as Sharmila can pacify them again.   However, she may be aware that it is not that easy to build the party from scratch. The only handy weapon that she has is to tap the sympathy of the people reminding about several welfare schemes launched by her father late YS Rajashekhar Reddy. But, it would be a very bad idea to try this trick when people are very much influenced by the ruling TRS party. Moreover, the Andhra tag that her party is carrying may keep the people away from her party.   Despite all odds, YSR party is gearing to re-introduce itself to people of Telangana. So, it is to be considered as a fresh challenge to ruling TRS party. But it is to be noted that it did not bother to respond till now to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s meeting held a month ago for this purpose. TRS not even responds after YSR party announced Sharmila’s Paramarsha Yatra in Telangana. So, it makes people suspect whether TRS party remains silent because it has invited YSR party into Telangana to balance the political strengths in the state. Are they both planning to join hand hands to fight out TDP-BJP combo in the next elections? Is that why TRS is not responding to YSR party plans for Telangana re-entry? Otherwise, TRS party would make hue and cry for trespassing its dream zone.   In case if they have any understanding between them, then whether YSR party is able to strengthen its base in Telangana or not will not be a matter, but its presence around only matters for both. Probably, that is why YSR party is reentering into Telangana despite all odds. Whether, this speculation about their secret pact will become reality or not, certainly they may cross swords just to entertain the people till the next elections.

Is Pak PM Nawaz Sharif trying the same idea again?

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has proved that it was only just a matter of time for him to open-up his mind and his government’s policies with regard to India, though he shakes hands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi few months ago and exchanged some gifts with him.   Nawaz Sharif, who met the Kashmiri separatists in Pak occupied Kashmir on Thursday told them that Indian government called off talks between Foreign Secretaries of both countries as it doesn’t want him to consult or involve them (separatists) over this Kashmiri issue. However, he owes to take them into consideration before any proposed meeting between two countries.   He squarely blames Indian government for violating seize fire agreement at LoC and targeting its security personal and civilians. However, he said the whole nation stood united behind his government to face this challenge from India. He thanked everyone for their support in this regard.   His statement itself is a fine testimony to understand why his government is always negatively responding towards India. He said the whole nation stands united behind him whenever it sees some threat from India. So, whichever party comes into power in Pakistan and whenever it faces some problems within, it try this simple but very effective technique to divert its people and opposition attention and to get their support. So, Nawaz Sharif, who is also facing challenges from opposition parties in his country, is now trying this tested and proved practice to overcome his problems.

Let us interlink Krishna and Godavari Rivers: CBN

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu proposes interlinking of Krishna and Godavari Rivers to stabilize cultivation in lakhs of acres and to supply water for domestic and industrial needs in Rayalaseema region. In a latest meeting held with the irrigation engineers, he also proposed interlinking of Krishna and Penna Rivers also with or without the Buckingham canal. He asked them to study and submit reports on both these proposals so as he can discuss and obtain necessary permission, funds from the central water resources ministry.   Central government is also planning to interlink some rivers with Ganga. It also ear marked similar plans for AP state. CM Chandrababu Naidu taking advantage of this opportunity, comes-up with these two proposals. He is proposing this interlinking of Krishna and Godavari Rivers to prevent enormous recurring expenses on lift irrigation system. If the flood waters are to be pumped from the Godavari river with lift irrigation system, it will cost the government Rs.1,272 crores. Besides there will be operation and maintenance that may cost the government around Rs.284 crores per annum. So, these additional recurring expenses can be prevented if both these rivers are interlinked.   CM Chandrababu Naidu is leaving for New Delhi tomorrow to attend a meeting convened by Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati. He will put his proposals in the meeting. If, the Central minister nods to his proposals, then he will be able to start these two ambitious projects also along with several other projects. If these two projects also materialized then it may bring lakhs of acres of land into use for cultivation and also will be compensating the loss of fertile lands that are going under the proposed capital city.

All is (not) well with Hyderabad Metro?

It appears stalemate is continuing between L&T Company and the Telangana government over realignment and compensation, although it was reported that they both have come to consensus during a meeting between CM KCR and the Company Chairman AK Naik held last week.   According to available information, L&T Company is not happy with the Rs. 1000 crore additional payment said to be offered by the state government for this purpose, because it is not even sufficient to clear the interest on the huge loans that it taken from several financial institutions for this project. Probably, that is why it has asked the state government to allot some huge projects like constructing express highways, constructing 100 storied buildings that CM KCR is proposing around Hussein Sagar Lake etc. to compensate its losses. However, everyone knew that it may take some time to think about all those dream projects. So, it is to be understood that the metro project situation may be same as ever before.   Following CM KCR assurances to the L&T Company a Special Task Force (STF) has been formed to address various issues involved in the realignment of this second phase of the Metro project. STF is likely to hold a meeting with L&T Company representatives at Hyderabad today. They may discuss the issues raised by L&T Company Chairman AK Naik during his meeting with CM KCR last week, about realignment and compensation package.   However, CMO stated it is just a routine meeting to review the progress of the project and has no significance. So, unless L&T Company begins the second phase project works, one can’t assume ‘all is well’. Let us hope, Telangana government and L&T Company somehow manage to complete the second phase project also.

Cong. owns Nehru and BJP Sardar Patel

People of the country have equal respect for father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi, first Prime Minister Jawaharlaal Nehru, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Subash Chandra Bose, Bala Gangadhar Tilak, Bhagat Singh or thousands others, who fought to fee the country from the clutches of British hands. However, Congress and BJP have their own choice of their leaders.   Ever since, Modi takes charge as Prime Minister of the country, he is trying to project Sardar Vallabh Bahai Patel, probably because his hatred towards Nehru dynasty. He also starts a mega project of building world’s tallest statue of Sardar Patel in his Gujarat state, probably to recreate his great image.   Congress is also desperately trying to project Nehru as the only savior of the nation. Congress party has grandly celebrated his 125th Birth Anniversary celebrations at New Delhi yesterday. Addressing the party leaders, party vice president Rahul Gandhi said “Some people are trying to defame Jawaharlal Lal Nehru. But, they should realize that no one can bring down his image how much they try. He is in the hearts of the people of the whole nation. Our country is in its present shape only because of his foresight and planning. Even today, the country needs to follow his principles to face the challenges and to overcome the problems.”   Both these parties should be ashamed for trying to own a great leader and disown the other, who has equal respect among the people. Those great leaders might have never thought that a day will come when they also will be distributed among the political parties, like the way people distribute the gods between casts and religions.   Those who are trying to own them should understand their greatness and follow their principles, instead of trying to recreate their image for defaming the other great leaders.

T-MPs ask for excuses to avoid taking part in SAGY

There is overwhelming response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) scheme. MPs are taking part in this program cutting across the party lines. Including Modi, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and many union ministers and MPs are adopting villages in their home constituencies and owe to develop them with the MP LADs funds kept at their disposal.   There are 11 MPs for TRS, 2 for Congress, One each for TDP, MIM and YSR Congress parties in Telangana state. However, none of them has come forward to take part in this rural development program. If they take part in this program, at least 16 villages would have turned into model villages in the state, but no one takes initiative.   Jitendar Reddy, a TRS MP from Mehboob Nagar has a nice excuse to offer. He said “Why only one village? I will develop all the 1600 villages in my constituency and my government is planning to develop entire villages in the state. If, I chose only one from them, rest of the villagers will feel very bad. So, I have not adopted any village.”   Nalgonda MP Gutta Sukendar Reddy has another reason to skip this program. Around 200 sarpanchs have approached me requesting to adopt their village. How can accept one reject the others? It will send a wrong signal to them.”   However, Ashok Gajapati Raju, Nirmala Sitaraman, Chiranjeevi, M Venkaiah Naidu, Sujana Chowdary and some other MPs of Congress and YSR Congress parties in AP state do not find any such issues in adopting the villages. So far more than half the strength of Parliament members have adopted villages. They also find no issues in adopting the villages, but only Telangana MPs have problems.

Sharad Pawar start twisting BJP hand

BJP may be well aware about NCP President Sharad Pawar’s power hungriness. It also expects him twist its hands one day or the other, but not just within a week of taking charge of Maharashtra government. BJP government lead by CM Devendra Fadnavis has accepted the outside support from NCP, as its ally Shivsena snap ties with it and is sitting in the opposition benches. However, even BJP high command believes there will be no threat for Fadnavis government for at least one or two years as NCP has voluntarily comes forward offering its support to his government.   But, Sharad Pawar gave it a big shock. Addressing his party leaders in a meeting held at Alibagh in Raigadh district of Maharashtra state, he said “I don’t think Fadnavis government may survive for a long time. It may collapse and midterm elections may come any time. So, all of you should be prepared to face the elections any time.”   In other words he is stating that he may withdraw his party support to Fadnavis government and may topple it any time. Currently, BJP has 121 MLAs out of 287 in the Assembly. The magic number to stay afloat is 144. So, there is short fall of 31 MLAs. But, it wins the trust vote with the support of 41 NCP MLAs and some independents. If NCP withdraws its support to Fadnavis government, it can’t survive even in case if the 20 independents support it. In such case, it badly needs its old ally Shivsena’s 63 MLAs support to stay afloat, but it is averse to for it.   Sharad Pawar start twisting the hands of Fadnavis government, taking advantage of his situation. So, his statement has created an alarming situation for BJP. So, its high command has to start doing some spade work to bring back Shivsena back to its fold to survive NCP’s blow.

YS Sharmila Telangana Yatra soon

Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, the working president of Telangana YSR Congress party addressing the party leaders at a meeting held in Mehboob Nagar district on Monday said “Our party leader YS Sharmila will conduct a ‘Paramarsha Yatra’ in our state to meet the farmers, who are in very disparate situation due to power and water crisis and to assure our party support to them. Former CM late YS Rajashekar Reddy has started four lift-irrigation projects in our district, but none of the leaders in the district have ever bothered to complete those projects.”   However, the route map and schedule of her tour was not yet finalized. Her brother and party president Jagan Mohan Reddy has given her a very tough task of recharging a dead-party in a quite negative situation. Hardly there are any leaders or party workers for the party in the state to make arrangements for her tour. Ruling TRS party emerged as a strong party and trying to wipe out Congress and TDP from Telangana state by encouraging its MLAs, party workers to join it. TDP and BJP both have good relation in the state. People of Telangana are averse to YSR Congress party that abandoned them for the sake of its Samaikyandhra agitations. Sharmila has to criticize the ruling TRS party after stepping into Telangana state. So, it would be really a big challenge for her to recharge her party in Telangana state. If she could succeed in her efforts, then her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy may step into Telangana to handover party charge from her.
