No room for Koppula in KCR’s cabinet?

  Telangana Chief Minister KCR is all set to expand his cabinet tomorrow morning. Hence he is reportedly finalized the names of Tummala Nageswara rao, Talasani Yadav, Chandulal, Indrakaran Reddy, Jupalle Krishna rao and Lakshma Reddy. CM KCR has sent the list of their names to Governor Narasimhan a short while ago. So, Koppula Eeshawar a close aide and the most trusted leader of CM KCR couldn’t secure a minister post this time also, whereas he has expected Deputy Chief Minister Post.   Out of the six persons picked by the CM KCR, two hails from TDP and two from the Congress and one from BSP. Lakshma Reddy alone is in TRS from the beginning. Out of the two from TDP, Tummala Nageswara rao is not an elected MLA and Talasani is facing the threat of disqualification for violating the party whip and for joining TRS party.   So, Tummala has to be elected to the Assembly within six months to continue in his minister post. There is possibility of constitutional crisis if Talasani Yadav faces disqualification. Jupalle and Indra Karan Reddy are former Congress leaders. But, Indrakaran jumps into BSP and got elected to the Assembly. Later he joins TRS party and getting minister post in CM KCR’s cabinet tomorrow.   Obviously, KCR’s choice may irk the TRS leaders, especially those who are associated with him during agitations period and expecting minister posts in his cabinet. Koppula Eeshwar and his followers are fuming upon CM KCR.

MPs of AP and TS reluctant to adopt villages

  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a call to all MPs to adopt a village of their choice in their respective constituencies or states. There is overwhelming response to his call from the MPs of north India cutting across the party lines, but there is lukewarm response from southern part, (except Kerala) especially from AP and Telangana states.   Modi has introduced Sansad Aadarsh Gram Yojana scheme two months ago, under which all MPs have to adopt a village of their choice and develop them within three years with the MP LAD (Local Area Development) funds kept at their dispose.   However, according to the ministry of rural development records, around 30 percent of MPs of AP and 29 percent of MPs of Telangana in both houses have not identified any village to adopt till now. There are 25 MPs from AP but only 19 of them have identified their villages. Out of the 17 MPs from Telangana only 12 have identified the villages.   Rest of the MPs has their own reasons and excuses to escape from this noble program. CM Ramesh, KVP Ramachandra rao, who belong to AP, but have been elected to Rajyasabha from Telangana and the MPs K Keshav rao, MA Khan vice versa. So, they ask for excuse as they prefer to adopt a village in their own state. They wrote letters to the house committee to allow them to choose a village from their own state, but as the house committee has not taken any decision till now, they have excuse for their inability to adopt any village. T Subbirami Reddy, who always claims that he alone has developed the Vizag City has not shown any interest to adopt a village till now.   MP K Chiranjeevi has adopted his native Mogalturu, M Venkaiah Naidu- Chepaluppada (Vizag), Nirmala Seetharaman-Narsapuram, Sachin Tendulkar- P. Kandriga, Kesineni Srinivas-Gollamandala, Thota Seetharamalakshmi-Akividu and YS Chowdary has adopted Veerullapadu village.

AP to set-up its own Data Center

  The AP government is planning to set-up its own data center in the state to cater the needs of the state post bifurcation. Currently, it is using the services of the common data center located in the Hyderabad city. So, it constituted a nodal agency called e-Governance Authority for this purpose and entrusted the task to it. The nodal agency has 11 members including the IT minister and the IT advisor. The Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who heads this agency, insists to set-up a tailor-made data center to meet the growing demands of the state for the next 20 years in the state.   This data center will handle several functions like online delivery of services, citizen information portal, state intranet portal, remote management and service integration, and disaster recovery. It will also interact with the central data center of the government of India and other state governments. It will also handle all state government departments’ activities like municipal administration, registration and certificates, e-seva and transport etc. etc.   So, Chandrababu Naidu is insisting to adopt a state-of-the-art-technology using advanced computing systems for this data center. He expects the official premises of this data center is also to be designed in such a way that it can be able to withstand the earth quakes and natural disasters.

TDP MLA Venkata Ramana died

  TDP Tirupati MLA Venkata Ramana (67) died after failure of by-pass surgery conducted at Chennai Apollo Hospital yesterday evening. He was elected from Tirupati constituency in 2004 and 2014 elections.

Music Director Chakri died

  Noted Music director Chakri (40) died today morning at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. He died with heart attack. More details follows in next post.

Veteran actor PJ Sarma passes away

  Veteran actor PJ Sarma died with cardiac arrest today morning. Yesterday his grand-son Aadi’s marriage was performed and he died today. Pudipeddi Jogeswara Sarma popularly known as PJ Sarma to the film industry and fans was born in Vizianagaram.   He entered into film industry with film ‘Illarikam.’ He acted in more than 500 films in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada languages. He acts in ‘Naga movie last in the year 2003. He was also very famous dubbing artist and story writer. His performance in films-‘Collector Janaki, Nyayam Kavali, Mugguru Monagallu, Karthavyam, Athanu’ earns him applauds. His son Sai Kumar is also did several Telugu films and lends his voice to many actors in Tollywood. His grand-son Aadi (Aaditya) also debuts with film-Prema Kavali in 2011. PJ Sarma’s last rituals will be performed at Erragadda burial grounds in Hyderabad on Sunday around 3pm.

No political intentions: Sharmila

  During a party meeting held a month ago, YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy has assigned his sister Sharmila the duty of strengthening his party in the Telangana state, though he appointed Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy as the party working president of the state. Hence, Sharmila begins her Paramarsha Yatra in Mehboob Nagar district four days ago and to console the family members of the persons, who died some six years ago.   She has visited bereaved family members in Narsappaguda, Mallapur of Kotthur mandal in Mehboob Nagar district on Saturday. Speaking to the media, “My visit is quite personal. It is a pure personal matter between their and our families and not any political one. So, my visit shouldn’t be seen as a politically motivated one. There are no political intentions behind my tour” said Sharmila.   During her five day tour, after reminding the people about her late father YSR’s golden era and about his welfare schemes, she criticizes the ruling TRS government very softly for neglecting the farmers’ suicides. However, she is not consoling the bereaved families of those farmers because they are not in her list.   Her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy has made it clear that he is purposely sending her into Telangana to strengthen his party and she is precisely executing the task assigned to her with her tour. Despite all this, she wants the people believe that she has no political intentions at all. If she has no political intentions at all, she would have straight away visited the families and returned home without doing all this hungama.   Her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced that he is sitting on a two-day hunger strike in Tanuku city in West Godavari in the next month, protesting the state government’s failure to implement all its elections promises including the crop loans waiver. But, his intention is to garner the farmers’ support to his party with this issue. Probably, the YSR Congress party has lost the confidence of the people because of maintaining this kind of double standards.

Finally, CM KCR expanding his cabinet

  The Telangana CM KCR has been made his party leaders anxiously wait for a longtime to hear the news about cabinet expansion. After a painful wait of six and half months, finally he decides to expand his cabinet on Tuesday. The swearing-in-ceremony of the new ministers will take place on December 16th at Rajbhavan sharply at 11 am. The CM KCR today met the Governor Narasimhan and submitted his proposal for his approval.   The front runners for the ministers’ posts are Tummala Nageswara rao, Srinivas Goud, Konda Surekha, Chandulal, Lakshma Reddy, Indrakaran Reddy and Jupalle Krishna rao. Currently the CM KCR is holding more than half a dozen important portfolios besides his post. He has kept Energy, Coal, SC, ST, BC, Minorities Welfare, Municipal Administration & Urban Development and GAD with him. So, the new comers may get any of these portfolios. The officials are preparing chambers to the new ministers in the D Block in the Secretariat.   No surprise if this cabinet expansion triggers hopes in the TDP leaders back in the Andhra Pradesh state expecting their leader CM Chandrababu Naidu to go for cabinet expansion.

Chandrababu’s E-Idea brings Rs. 71.25 crore to government

  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s idea of selling the sand on-line has brought the government revenue of Rs.71.25 crores in just three months. The AP Government has introduced the on-line sand booking and sales in October and within three months, the business is flourishing with ever growing orders and thus proportionately the revenue to the state government.   During the first month, there were 8,524 orders and it got Rs. 5.43 crores. It was bulged to 69,832 orders and earned Rs.33.16 revenue in November. During the two weeks of this December month 70,699 orders were placed amounting to Rs. 32.43 crores. So, as the orders keep increasing, proportionately the revenue also keep increasing.   State government has authorized the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) to handle the mining, sales and supply of the sand to the consumers in the 13 districts. Consumers can place their orders for the sand through Mee Seva counters or through the official web site. SERP is also roping in State Bank of India, State Bank of Hyderabad and Andhra Bank to handle the online money transactions.   According to SERP CEO G Veerapandiyan, East Godavari stood top with 46,244 orders and Srikakulam lowest with 10,366 orders. There was mixed response to this new sand policy.   Builders and common public express quite happy for making their job easy, but people in remote districts like Srikakulam and Ananthapur opined that the system need to be streamlined to ensure timely supply of sand for a reasonable price. Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Association of India (Credai) AP president A Siva Reddy said “Of course, initially we have faced some problems, but now there is lots of improvement in the situation. Probably, the system may be fined tuned during the course of time.”

  Governor Narasimhan after meeting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking to media has stated “I have explained the Prime Minister about various issues emerged post bifurcation of the state. I told them both Chief Ministers are working very nicely and putting lots of efforts to develop their states. I told him that Law and Order situation in the both states is also excellent and both states are very peaceful.”   Later, the Union Minister for IT Ravi Shankar Prasad, who came to Hyderabad, also made similar statement He said, “I am happy to see both Chief Ministers are putting lots of efforts to develop their states.”   But, before issuing this ‘good conduct certificate’ to both Chief Ministers, he was forced to has to lend his ears to Telangana Chief Minister KCR and his team to hear their complaints made against AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his government. So, both these statements made by the Governor Narasimhan and Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad underlining a point that Centre is not willing to interfere in their disputes. So are they patting both Chief Ministers even after hearing their complaints?

Terrorists may strike Delhi: US alerts India

  US Intelligence agency has alerted the Indian government about a possible attack on New Delhi by the Lashkar terror gang at any time. Hence, the Delhi police announced a high alert in Delhi and surrounding cities. They have started a joint operation with Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh police to trace out the terrorists gangs. They keep an eye on the bus stands, railway stations and airports in Delhi and surrounding areas. Delhi police officials have a meeting with the Intelligence Officials to exchange the available information. They both are reviewing the situation of the capital and decide to maintain a round the clock watch in all the important places in Delhi and surrounding places.   Indian Intelligence officials are reported to be in touch with their counterparts of US to avail more information about the terrorists’ plans. Pakistan based terrorists have desperately tried to enter into India during the elections period in Jammu and Kashmir state, but the Indian security forces do not give them a chance for it. But, the latest alert sounded by the US agency reveals that somehow the terrorists have managed to enter into the country from some other border or the sleeper cells in the country may be assigned to this task.

Cong. leaders lodge complaints against each other

  The two young leaders of the Congress party Vishnuvardhan Reddy and Kalvakurthi MLA Vamshichand Reddy had a clash at a marriage function of Vishnuvardhan Reddy’s brother-in-law at N Convention Center in Hyderabad today.   Vishnuvardhan Reddy said “We have not invited him to this function. However, I don’t know why he has come and who has invited him. He would have behaved properly in the function, but pushed me in front of all my relatives. His gun man pulled his gun out threatening me. I don’t understand why he comes to marriage and why he misbehaved in the marriage function. If he wants, I am ready for a straight fight with him in the open place, but not in the marriage function. He should know that I am son of late PJR. I am not scared to face him.”   Vamshichand Reddy said, “I didn’t misbehave with anyone. It is Vishnuvardhan, who misbehaved with in the function. However, I didn’t loose my cool. But, I just defend myself, when he pushed me.” Later, they both have lodged complaints against each other in Madhapur police station.

Why political parties ignores Hindus?

    M Venkaiah Naidu reacting to the opposition demands for action against the Bajarang activists involved in the conversion of 54 Muslim families into Hinduism, said “My government is ready to discuss on this matter but the opposition parties are not ready for it. They just demand for a discussion and walk-out from the house when the government is ready for a discussion on it. In fact, I also demand a strong law to be formed to prevent religious conversions in the country. If the members of the house are ready to discuss on this issue, a strong law can be formed to prevent this problem,” said Venkaiah Naidu.   However, the opposition parties keep rocking the parliament over this issue. But, we can notice that Venkaiah Naidu is wisely trying to utilize this opportunity to bring a law to ban religious conversions in the country.   Need not to say everyday thousands of Hindus are converting into Chiristian or some other religions due to known reasons. The conversions have reached to an alarming level. However, no political party wants to speak on this issue because it wants to upholdits secular tag. However, when BJP speaks about Hindus interests or try to defend them, all these so called secular parties attack it and also project it as communal party. These days taking word Hindu on the lips is also being treated as a sin or communal.   The other reason for the political parties interest in Muslim community is their vote bank. All polical parties including MIM treats the Muslim community as their vote bank and use their secular cards to win their hearts and votes as well. So, no political party in the country is afford to loose its secular tags.   The other reason to ignore the large Hindu community is they can’t be pocketed like Muslim vote bank. Hindus are divided into hundreds of casts and sub sects. So, they form hundreds and thousands of different groups with different combinations. Different groups can be influenced by different points or things or issues. So, they can’t be treated as a whole or a bunch. So, political parties in the country have to apply different ideas to lure different groups of Hindus. So, winning Hindus is a very complicated process. So, political parties think about them only during the elections period and ignores in between periods.

Is KCR not sure to complete his pet project?

  The AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is still trying to persuading the Centre to grant the sops that were promised to the state in the AP Reorganization Bill-2014 and also by the NDA government itself, despite having strong relations with the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, so far nothing was granted except an uninterrupted power supply pilot project to the state.   In this context, one would expect Telangana CM KCR would put more efforts to improve his relations with the central government to get its help to his pet projects. However, he has shown no interest to improve relations with the Centre, instead he used criticize the NDA government for showing step mother attitude towards the Telangana state over various issues.   However, when he softens his tone and start showering praises on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state BJP unit and it’s off shoots like Vishwa Hindu Parishat hardly hitting at him and his government. Former president of the BJP Indrasena Reddy strongly criticized CM KCR for constructing a Pylon for his ambitious water grid project.   Speaking to media at Choutuppal in Nalgonda district he said “The CM KCR’s idea of constructing a pylon to his pet project appears to be preparing a coffin before death. I think he is constructing it because he fears that some else name will be written on it, if he couldn’t complete the water grid project during his term. So, he is installing the Pylon even before commencement of the project to ensure his name is written across it. Poor people in the state are badly suffering due to his lack of experience in ruling the state.”   Praveen Togadia, the hardcore Hindu leader of VHP, who came to Hyderabad to launch the official website of his VHP of the city at Shamshabad, said “I think Hindus, especially poor and lower middle class Hindus are being ignored by the TRS government. CM KCR appears to be giving more importance to Muslims than Hindus. Introducing reservation system on religious grounds is a fine example for it. His ruling is just reflecting the Nizam ruling. Once, people of the state have fought with Nizam to free themselves from his clutches. It seems the time has come to start a fresh fight against KCR government to free themselves.”   Whether their criticism has any impact on him or not CM KCR should put more efforts to improve his relations with NDA government.

Where Dr. Manmohan Singh failed Modi wins

  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is one among those popular and the most powerful persons across the globe. He has been named as winner of 2014 year readers’ poll conducted by the leading English Magazine ‘TIME’. He has secured 16 percent of votes out of the 59 lakhs votes cast to select the ‘Person of the Year.’ Readers from 225 countries across the globe, including 37 percent from US, 17 percent from India and 12 percent from Russia have participated in this online polling conducted by the Time Magazine recently. However, Narendra Modi has to make his way into top 8 persons list in the next round of polling.   Whether or not he is elected as the ‘Person of the Year’ all this development indicates there is large difference between him and his predecessor Dr. Manmohan Singh. If people could recall the same Time Magazine has published a cover page article on Dr. Manmohan Singh stating him ‘under achiever’ one could understand the large difference between them.   In fact, Dr. Manmohan Singh is a great Financial Manager and proved his mettle as Finance Minister during late PV Narasimha rao’s regime. But the same person was rated as under achiever in the later period because the Congress President Sonia Gandhi has remotely controlled him and virtually tied his hands.   But, Narendra Modi spearheading against all odds rose to his present position from a road side tea seller stage. He not only reached the top with his hard efforts but is also trying to put his country on top of the globe with his sincere efforts and clever ideas. So, is he deserved to be elected as the ‘Person of the year.”   Whether or not he is elected, he is desperate to see his country stand among the top ten in the world. If he can ensure it, then one day the whole world will recognize him as the Person of the world not just the year.

Severe bleeding for AP IT Minister at Secretariat

Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Minister Palle Raghunath Reddy has suffered a minor bleeding injury on his leg at the State Secretariat on Wednesday.It happened when he got into touch with a sharp edge of a small glass teapoy. While checking the chambers of his office Palle hit himself with a teapoy and it pierced into his already ‘defective’ leg resulting in instantaneous bleeding. Palle sustained injury at the same place some time ago and due to that blood spurted out immediately and his chamber bore marks of extensive bleeding.   The profusely bleeding TDP leader was to be rushed to a hospital on the premises of the secretariat but no duty doctors were present at that point in time. As he suffers from Sugar, he was immediately rushed to the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) at Panjagutta for further treatment.

Capital City Plan will be ready with in Seven Months

  After signing a MoU with AP government, a 14 members experts committee of Singapore has begun working on the Capital project from the very next day. The committee headed by Khutheng Chai, the Chief Planner of the Singapore city and Executive director of Center for Livable Cities (CLC) holds a meeting with the members of the Capital Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) of the state on Tuesday.   The CDAC members have briefed the experts committee about various resources, transport facilities, details of surrounding villages, crops, agricultural lands and water availability etc. The experts committee is planning to conduct an aerial survey of the proposed project area on Wednesday.   According to reports, the center of the capital would be somewhere on the west side of the Prakasham barrage. Once, the center point of the capital city is identified, then plans will be developed spreading from the point in a radius of 8 km.   The Singapore experts committee has chalked out a six week-meetings with officials of the Industries, Roads and Buildings, Police, Tourism, Irrigation etc. of the state government to discuss relative matters of the project. Later, the committee will develop the concept master plan in the next ten weeks. It will develop plans and proposals for infrastructure, industries and land utilization etc. during this period. The final master plan including the central zone of the proposed capital will be prepared in the last 8 weeks. Expert committee is expected to complete its planning work before end of June 2015.

Is BJP encouraging religious conversions?

  The conversion of the 57 Muslim families into Hinduism in Agra on Monday by the Bajarang Dal and the Dharma Jagaran Samanvay Vibhag activists is creating havoc in the parliament and in the political circles. Both these organizations performed the conversion ceremony at Agra on Monday calling it 'Purkhon ki ghar vapsi' (coming home of the ancestors).   According RSS regional chief Rajeshwar Singh, more than 200 Muslims were brought back to Hinduism in this mass event and nearly 5,000 more Muslims and Christians will be converted into Hinduism at a grand ceremony to be held at Maheshwari College in Aligarh city on December 25th that is on the Christmas day.   However, those converted into Hinduism on Monday have taken a ‘U’ turn on the very next day. They argue that they were misled by the Bajarang Dal assurances of getting registered as BPL (below poverty line) families to avail various welfare schemes launched by the NDA government.   Obviously, opposition parties in both houses of the parliament, which never bothered to talk about the conversion of poor Hindu people into Chrisitian relegion, have strongly protested this incident and demand an explanation from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They demand the government to take severe action on the Hindu activists indulged in such acts.   However, the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the concerned state government has to take care of Law and Order situation and not the Centre. He said an FIR has been filed by the UP government on the issue. So, Modi government seems to be not interested to  interfere in this controversy. But, it is providing scope to the opposition parties to paste the communal tag to BJP led NDA government.

Chiranjeevi faces bitter experience

  Former Union Minister and present Rajyasabha Member Chiranjeevi has vacated his official residence in Akbar Road in New Delhi that he got during UPA regime. He was asked to vacate the building three months ago, as the house committee of the Loksabha has allotted it to the Home Minister Rajnath Singh. However, the committee allots him a bungalow in the Tuglak Road, which he dislikes. So, He requested the house committee to let him continue in his present residence, but the committee has refused.   Even then he kept it under his possessions till yesterday ignoring several reminders sent by the concerned officials. But, he finally vacates the house only after a final notice was slapped on his gate. He was warned that if he ignores the notice then his house will be forcibly taken into possession by the concerned officials and all his belongings will be thrown out. Then only, Chiranjeevi agreed to vacate the house. However, he is not interested to shift into the official residence in the Tuglak Road allotted to him.   So, he vacated the house and moved his items to Hyderabad in two trucks. Earlier, during UPA regime the government was used to go soft with such cases, but not in the NDA ruling. But, Chiranjeevi, who fails to notice this change in the system, clings to his official residence hoping that he will be spared, but had a bitter experience for his ignorance.
