On Saturday March 3rd, 2011 members of the Dawoodi Bohra community in DFW volunteered at North Texas Food Bank sorting and packing food for the needy and did a collection drive to celebrate the 101st birthday of their spiritual leader Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (T.U.S). Altogether, their contributions, kind, cash and effort enabled more than twelve thousand meals for the needy.

His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (T.U.S.) is an internationally recognized personality and the 52ndD’ai al-Mutlaq of the Dawoodi Bohras– a Muslim community known worldwide for its philanthropic efforts, hospitals, schools and restorations of Islamic landmarks. The efforts of His Holiness provide true inspiration to his followers around the world to practice their faith with a special emphasis on benefiting humanity at large and performing acts of goodwill.
