Chiranjeevi turned typical Cong. politician?

Congress MP Chiranjeevi said that he merged his Praja Rajyam party with the Congress party because it is alone could deliver social justice to the backward sections of the society. He paid rich tributes to Dr. BR Ambedkar on the eve of his death anniversary on Saturday. After garlanding his statue at Tank Bund, Hyderabad he made this brief statement to media. He proved himself a typical Congress politician, who prefers ignore what people think about him.   He merged his Praja Rajyam party with the Congress party after realizing that it is not worth operating anymore. He bargained with the Congress high command and got minister posts for himself and his close aides. But, he wants the people believe him that he has done so just to ensure social justice is preserved. Don’t know what he did to preserve social justice after taking Union Minister post in the UPA government.   He let his security guards beat the two software engineers on the public road for coming across his darling son Ram Charan Tej’s car. Perhaps this is what the social justice he is speaking about? He clings to his Union Minister post and was saluting his boss Sonia Gandhi, even when lakhs of people in Andhra region came on to roads opposing her decision. He campaigned for his party even when he knew that people are strongly opposing it.   Then also, he proved his mega influence on the people is unparalleled, but it was negative as against positive in the past. The negative feeling generated in the people against him because of the double game he played with the people on the bifurcation issue is one of the many reasons for the Congress party defeat in the general elections. He couldn’t justify his role in the party, state politics and to his people but speaks about social justice. In fact, he terribly shocks his fans and the people by unleashing himself as a typical Congress leader.

Prof. Kodandaram unhappy with CM KCR?

T-JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram seems to be quite disappointed with the way Telangana CM KCR and his party leaders are ignoring him after coming into power. He said, “I have predicted this kind of treatment long ago during the agitations period. So, I am not surprised with their treatment to me. I fought for Telangana and live for Telangana. So, I won’t think about all these things. My life is dedicated for Telangana. I will do my level best for the development of the state.”   Indeed, CM KCR and his ministers have turned blind eye on him and his T-JAC. In fact, they even steal his show after coming into power. But, he watched them helplessly when stealing his show, because of change in the political strengths. But, he should blame himself for his present situation instead of blaming CM KCR as he was reported to be refused to take TRS party ticket offered by KCR in the elections period.   Later also, he did not tried to strike a chord with CM KCR, probably because he start disliking KCR’s ruling. His recent statements ‘TRS ruling is no way different to Andhra ruling’ and his call to the people for kick starting a fresh agitation on farmers’ suicides issue are underlining his displeasure on the TRS government. But, he is forced to remain mum as TRS government becomes mightier and goes beyond his reach.   So, it is natural to hear some statements like this from him. But, everyone knows that it helps to spoil his relations with CM KCR and widen the gap between Telangana government and T-JAC.

Odarpu Yatras extended

Jagan Mohan Reddy may not feel anything wrong to continue his Odarpu Yatra even six years after his father’s death, but people are laughing at him when he is consoling the families that long ago have come out of their grief of their beloved one’s death. But, he never minds what people are talking about his Odarpu Yatras.   So, he is sending his sister Sharmila on the same job to the Telangana state. But, he gives a new name to her Odarpu Yatra. It is now called as Paramarsha Yatra. While, she starts covering the Telangana state, he will cover Andhra Pradesh state. But as he already covered almost all families in the state, he come-up with a nice reason to extend his Odarpu Yatras.   He said that 86 farmers have committed suicides in the state, ever since TDP comes into power, but TDP government is denying the reports. So, I will conduct a ‘Raithu Odarpu Yatras’ and visit all those bereaved families very soon,” declared Jagan Mohan Reddy during his maha-dharna conducted at Vizag today.   This will enable him to extend his ‘Odarpu Yatra’ as long as he wants and at the same time will enable him to blame and defame the state government. So, Odarpu Yatra has become Paramarsha Yatra in Telangana and Raithu Odarpu Yatra in Andhra Pradesh state. Though the names are a bit different, but the actual purpose of their yatras is to strengthen the party. But, Jagan Mohan Reddy argues that they are just to pacify the bereaved families. If so, why is so much publicity required? Let Jagan answer it.

YSR Party highlights maha-dharna, but ignores rest

It seems the fight between the ruling TDP and the YSR Congress party has reached its peak with the statewide dharnas being conducted by the latter today. Deputy CM KE Krishna Murthy, Ministers Ganta Srinivasa rao, Achchem Naidu and many others from the state government are fuming upon Jagan Mohan Reddy for trying to defame the government with his dharnas. They ask him to reveal what is his actual intention behind staging dharnas even when the government is clearing the crop loans. They allege him of trying to politicize this issue to get some political mileage out of it and to keep his party intact.   Minister Ganta Srinivasa rao wrote a public letter to Jagan Mohan Reddy asking his explanation to five questions. He asks whether Jagan has opposed the idea of crop loans waiver during elections time or not. If so, why is he staging dharnas demanding to clear the crop loans now? He asked whether Jagan really wants the state government to clear the crop loans or not. He asked Jagan whether he is staging dharnas asking the government not to waive off the crop loans. He flayed Jagan for politicizing this issue for self-political gains, when the CM Chandrababu Naidu is striving hard to implement all his elections promises even when the state is facing severe financial crunch.   However, YSR Congress party argues that TDP government is creating obstacles to its dharnas fearing to watch the massive response and its impact on the people. But, there is lukewarm response to its dharnas in East, West Godavari, Krishna, Chittoor, Vizianagaram districts, where it lacks enough strength. However, it managed to mobilize huge crowds to its maha-dharna being conducted at Vizag in which party president Jagan Mohan Reddy is taking part. So, YSR Congress party is trying to highlight his maha-dharna, while playing low with dharnas conducted in other districts, so as to claim its dharnas very successful.

Will Centre help the AP state?

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s recent statement comes as a shocker to many states. He suggested that all the state governments do not expect too much from the Central government, instead plan to generate funds on their own, as the Centre also has several commitments to be fulfilled. His suggestion is very much disappointing to AP and Telangana state governments, especially to AP state government that has pinned all its hopes on the Centre.   The AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has been making rounds to New Delhi to get funds from the Centre for various projects and development activities that have been promised to the state in the AP Reorganization Bill-2014. Central government is also positively responding to his pleas, but nothing was granted during last six months. Even it is prolonging to accord special status to the state. If reports are to be believed, AP state is unlikely to get special status. CM Chandrababu Naidu is expecting huge funds from the Centre for construction of state capital city and for other development activities.   If, Centre fails to extend its help to the state they will be badly affected. Then it would become an acid test to CM Chandrababu Naidu implementing all his development plans without Centre’s assistance. However, central government can’t simply escape from the promises made by the previous government to the state in the AP Reorganization Bill-2014. So, CM Chandrababu may put efforts to find alternative sources to generate the funds, while pressurizing the central government. He seems to be prepared to face any kind of challenges and also start efforts to generate funds. He seeks the Japan government’s help to build the capital city and got its assurance.

CM Babu throws wrench in YSR Dharna plans?

YSR Congress party that has been trying to politicize the crop loans waiver issue and desperately trying to corner ruling TDP government has prepared to conduct statewide dharnas on this issue tomorrow. Its president Jagan Mohan Reddy will participate in maha-dharna to be conducted by party at Vizag. So, YSR party has been making elaborate arrangements to make these dharna programs a grand success. It is putting lot of efforts for mobilizing the people from the surrounding districts.   However, the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu simply throws wrench in its plans. He announced the modalities for the crop loans waiver and its schedule today that is hardly hours before YSR party’s dharnas.   Obviously, it left YSR party disgruntled as it can’t blame the CM or his government for failing to keep the elections promises. At the same time, it can’t call off its dharna programs at this moment. It may also find very difficult to mobilize the people, especially farmers to its dharnas as they may tilt towards the state government now for waiving off their crop loans. If there is no response to its dharnas, it will be very shameful to party and to its president Jagan Mohan Reddy.   Moreover, YSR party has to find some nice excuse to conduct its dharnas and a strong reason to strengthen its arguments on this particular issue. It has to change its strategy to make its dharnas grand success otherwise people will laugh at it for staging dharnas even when the state government is clearing the crop loans. It would be very difficult to chalk out some alternative idea and strategy at this moment.   Probably, YSR Congress party might have foreseen this embarrassing situation. So is it is claiming that it has forced the TDP government to make an official announcement on crop loans waiver by announcing its dharna plans.   But, if seen its present situation it is to be understood that it is crying foul for the timing of Chandrababu Naidu announcement. Since, it can’t go back at this stage it owes to continue its fight with the state government till it implements all its elections promises. Indeed it is a good excuse to defend itself, but not enough to stage dharnas tomorrow. It also has to ensure there is overwhelming response to its dharnas otherwise it's plans will backfires at it again as usually.

Harish rao makes fresh allegations against CBN

So far, Telangana ministers including its CM KCR has been blaming the previous governments and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for their every problem. However, TDP and Congress parties argue that CM KCR and his ministers are blaming them only to hide their failures in handling the crisis situation.   AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has plainly said that his counterpart KCR has no foresight so is the state is reeling under severe power crisis. AP state was also facing similar crisis situation, before Chandrababu Naidu takes charge of the state. He not only resolved it within three months but also made elaborate arrangements to meet the power demand for next one year. So, evidently his opinion about CM KCR can be justified.   Now, Minister Harish rao has levied a fresh allegation on CM Chandrababu Naidu. He alleges that Chandrababu Naidu is conspiring to tarnish the brand image of Hyderabad. He is trying to block power and water to Telangana state. He is conspiring to obstruct Jurala-Palamuru lift irrigation projects proposed by Telangana government on Krishna River. He went to New Delhi only to pressurize the Centre to stop this project. He demands TDP Telangana leaders to react on this issue. Harish rao has asked them whether they will support Chandrababu Naidu or Telangana government on this project.   Harish rao seems to be talking over smart on this issue. He is blaming Chandrababu Naidu but, he did not acknowledge the point that his government has not obtained permission from Krishna River Board about this proposed project or not even bothered to intimate it. Chandrababu Naidu has raised the same point. If Telangana government has sought permission from the Krishna River Board, then AP government also might filed its objections with it. But, when Telangana government simply ignores the Board, then AP government has chosen appropriate channel to raise its objections.   But, Harish rao is projecting this matter in a different angle to blame the AP CM. Harish rao is trying add Telangana sentiment to this issue also, to project Telangana TDP leaders and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu as sinners in the view of Telangana people. But, he is conveniently hiding the fact that his government has not obtained or intimated the Krishna River Board about this proposed lift irrigation project.   Harish rao other allegation about tarnishing the brand image of Hyderabad is also can’t be justified. It is because of Chandrababu Naidu Hyderabad got this brand image. Then how he can think to destroy his own creation? Actually, he takes it as a challenge to build a city that is par with international standards to prove his mettle, but never thinks to tarnish the brand image of Hyderabad merely to prove himself. Moreover he and all his family members make Hyderabad their home. Then why should he try to tarnish the city brand image anyway.

TDP, YSR Parties lock horns over crop loans issue

Evidently, YSR Congress party has been trying to gain some political mileage out of crop loans waiver issue. Earlier, it has tried to attract farmers by staging dharnas at mandal headquarters, but quite disappointed to see the poor response from the farmers. So, next it tried to politicize land acquisition issue, but there also it is disappointed. Now, it is gearing-up to conducts statewide dharnas at district collectorate offices on December 5th. Party president Jagan Mohan Reddy will take part in maha-dharna to be conducted at Vizag collector’s office on the same day. YSR party is staging dharnas demanding the state government to implement its election promises, including crops loans waiver. So, ruling TDP and YSR party leaders are crossing swords on this issue.   Perni Nani, the official spokesperson of YSR party in a press meet held at party office in Hyderabad said, “Ruling TDP government appeared to be scared with our party president Jagan Mohan Reddy’s announcement of staging dharnas on December 5th. That is why CM Chandrababu Naidu is making an announcement on crop loans issue one day before to our dharnas. We will continue our fight on behalf of people till the state government implements all its elections promises.”   State Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara rao gave a fitting reply to YSR party allegations. He said “It appears YSR party doesn’t want the state government to waive off the crop loans as it may help TDP to emerge stronger in the state. Whether it likes or dislikes, our government is committed to implement all the elections promises including crop loans waiver. So, I suggest YSR party to conduct dharnas in Idupulapaya.”
