Modi may not hesitates to strike Pakistan: Robert Blackwell

India-Pakistan relations were never used to be perfect, not even good enough all these decades and Pakistan is to be blamed for it. Its proxy war against India during the last three decades ruined the relations between the two countries. However, India always has been trying to improve relations with it. But, Pakistan’s reactions are always negative and offensive. It makes no difference for Pakistan as long as there was UPA government in the power in New Delhi.   But, it fails or ignores to notice a change in the situation. In fact, Narendra Modi also preferred to have good relations between two countries. So, he invited Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to his swearing-in ceremony. He adopts a tough stand after seeing Pakistan’s negative reactions. Ever since, his government is handling affairs related to Pakistan with a very firm hand.   His government called off talks between foreign secretaries of two countries after Pakistan’s Commissioner to India had a meeting with Kashmiri separatists ignoring its orders. His government orders the border security forces to give a fitting reply to Pakistani troops seize fire violations.   After closely observing Modi’s stand on Pakistan, former US ambassador Robert Blackwell warned the Pakistan government that Modi government may not hesitate to conduct a military action against it in case if he found any kind of involvement of Pakistan army or its secret service agency ISI in any terrorists attacks on India in the future. He said previous government also thought about striking militant bases on the Pakistani soil, after terrorists’ attacks on its parliament, but, it hesitates and finally dropped the plans of military action. Hence, Blackwell warned the Pakistan government to realize the situation and refrain from encouraging terrorists to attack India.

YSRCP supports TDP in Tirupati bye-elections!

People of AP are aware about the enmity prevailed between the ruling TDP and the main opposition party YSR Congress party. Hence, no one can expect they co-operate each other to win the elections. But, both parties are strictly following the custom practice of staying away from bye-elections to enable the family member of the deceased MLA get elected unopposed.   Hence, the YSR Congress party leaves the Tirupati Assembly constituency to its rival TDP candidate Sugunamma, the widow of TDP MLA Venkata Ramana. But, the Congress party fields its candidate Rudraraju Sreedevi. Although, there are some other candidates in the race, the main competition would be between TDP and Congress party candidates only. TDP is expecting to win with at least 1 lakh majority. Congress candidate Sreedevi is also leaving no stone left unturned to win these elections.   At this moment, YSR Congress party city convener Palagiri Prathap Reddy came to TDP candidate Sugunamma’s support. He said that YSR Congress party will extend its full support to Sugunamma to win the bye-elections. But, his statement may cost him very dearly, because staying away from the bye-elections doesn’t mean that YSR Congress party is supporting TDP or its candidate. So, declaring open support to TDP candidate is sending wrong message to the people about party’s stand. He boldly takes this risk probably because he may be planning to jump into the TDP soon after the bye-elections.

Nitish Kumar likely to replace Bihar CM Jitan Ram

Former Bihar State Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who stepped down owing moral responsibility for the party defeat in the general elections, has offered his chair to his close aide Jitan Ram Manjhi in the last year. But, during Jitan Ram’s 9 months of ruling his party JD (U) and the government have faced several controversies. Assembly elections for Bihar are slated for later this year. Hence, Nitish Kumar wants to replace him, but Jitan Ram is not ready to return his chair.   However, Nitish Kumar convinces his JD (U) party president Sharad Yadav to summon a meeting with party MLAs to elect him as their party floor leader. But, Jitan Ram is strongly objecting for any such meeting with the MLAs by the party president. He argues that he alone can summon MLAs for such meetings and not the party president. He declared that he will revolt if forced to quit the CM Post.   Jitan Ram is heading a minority government backed by 24 MLAs of Laloo Prasad’s RJD and 5 MLAs of the Congress party. Currently, JD (U) has 111 MLAs strength in the Assembly. The magic figure to stay afloat is 122. CM Jitan Ram claims that around 35 to 40 MLAs are on his side. He warns that if Nitish Kumar tries to clinch his CM Chair, then he will break away from the party and form the government taking support BJP support.   He is reported to be assured of BJP’s 88 MLAs support by Ram Vilas Paswan of the Lok Janshakti Party, who is also a minister in the NDA government. Hence, JD (U) is in dilemma whether to take this risk or not. But, Nitish Kumar is quite confident that all MLAs of his party will support him only. If so, RJD and the Congress parties are there to extend their support to his government. Hence, a tricky situation prevails in the JD (U). JD (U) leadership is negotiating with Jitan Ram and his supporters.

Foundation stone laying for AP Capital City in June likely

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and his ministers are reportedly planning to lay foundation stone for the capital city construction on June 11 or 12th this year in Thullur. Astrologers have suggested these two dates are very auspicious for starting construction work. Since, Chandrababu Naidu’s government complete one year term by then, they are also believe that it would be appropriate time for beginning such massive works.   AP government has appealed the Centre to release Rs.20,000 crore for first phase of construction of the capital city in which Assembly, Secretariat, High Court, Raj Bhavan, CM’s Camp Office, Buildings for various state government head offices, Ministers, Officials and employees quarters will be constructed. But, it is learnt that Centre asked it submit a detailed drawings and estimations for this purpose. Unless the Singapore companies handover the master plan of the core capital, state government can’t prepare estimations randomly. Singapore Companies have assured that they will hand over the master plan of the core capital city by the time it lays foundation stone in June. Hence, final estimations can be submitted to the Centre only after receiving the master plan from them.   So, in the meantime state government is trying to complete the land acquisition process. But, it is facing resistance from 9 villages out of 29 in Thullur Mandal. So far, it acquires 14,800 acres only, whereas its target is double that figure. Municipal minister P Narayana said that he is quite hopeful to complete this process before end of February or Mid-March. He said that Singapore Company and the state government are in constant touch with each other.

Modi’s foreign policy is giving fruitful results

The two communist countries China and Russia seems very upset to see India inching toward their enemy country USA. Both countries have decided to back India to move a proposal in United Nations that may corner Pakistan for providing shelter and funds to terrorists involved in the 26/11 carnage and other attacks in the country. Actually, China has stated that Pakistan is its good friend and would like to work with it closely. It made this statement during Obama’s visit to India. But, this magical change in China’s attitude towards India comes after India’s foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj’s immediate visit to China after Obama’s departure from New Delhi. Of course, the US President Obama’s visit to India also helped her in convincing China that it need to support India.   Although, India inches towards the US, India’s relationship with Russia is intact as ever before. So, Russia is also willing to support India’s proposal to be moved against Pakistan. China and Russia also agreed to back India to play a larger role the United Nations, Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. US also agreed to support India in UN and APEC also.   Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi, his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj in a joint communiqué stated “underlined the need to bring to justice perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of terrorist acts.” India has moved this resolution two decades ago, but it has been shelved till now as Indian External Affairs Ministry had not put enough efforts to convince major players in the UN. If, India could succeed in getting the nod of UN to its proposal, Pakistan may be forced handover the terrorists involved in the attacks on India. It will also endorse a point that Pakistan has turned a terrorists’ hub, which may attract many restrictions from the UN.

Secretariat shifting idea may back fire again

Telangana CM KCR’s ideas appear to be often back firing at his government. His government is forced to drop many of his decisions and G.O.s issued during his nine months of ruling. The latest one is shifting of Secretariat to the proposed new building to be constructed at Erragadda and his decision to shift the Chest and Mental dieses to Vikarabad. The reason ‘Vasthu problem’ he said for his decision gave an opportunity to opposition parties to aim their guns at him.   Moreover, he simply ignores a basic point that any such decisions need Governor’s consent as he is the care taker of Hyderabad city till the city remains common capital for both states.   Next, the AP government is operating from Secretariat and can’t be asked to vacate it unless it wants to move out. Telangana government can’t force it to vacate or even ask it to shift to some other building because Governor alone has that discretional power to order the AP government to do so.   CM KCR also seems to be made another mistake. He has not bothered to inform the Governor about his ideas or take his permission before announcing to the media. According to reports, Governor’s office may write a letter to Chief Secretary of Telangana government asking for explanation about the media reports on this matter.   Obviously, Governor may not allow CM KCR to implement his ideas because there are no strong reasons to convince him. If, he takes opposition parties protests and arguments into consideration, then he may simply reject CM KCR’s proposals, which may again create an embarrassing situation for both.   Apart from TDP, BJP, Left Parties, AP government is also going to raise objections on shifting of Secretariat, Chest and Mental hospitals from their places, taking cue from the AP Reorganization Bill-2014. Scholars and exerts in Hyderabad are also strongly objecting CM KCR’s proposals. They argue that it may help only to worsen the traffic problems if Secretariat is shifted to Erragadda area that is already very congested.   CM KCR found Vasthu problems in the existing Secretariat building. But, Vasthu Pundits observed that there are 11 major Vasthu problems in the Erragadda hospital area. They predict that if the Secretariat is shifted there then Telangana government may face more problems than ever before. So, it seems all these conditions may force CM KCR to gulp down his idea again or should be prepared to rattle by the courts again.
