T-Cong. leaders’ cat-fights blessing for TRS

  T-Congress might have forgotten that they were asked to do team work by Party political affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh just few days back. So far, they are fighting with their PCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah. They are demanding him to step down.   Now, a fresh fight triggered between Hyderabad city Congress President Danam Nagendar and former minister Marri Shashidhar Reddy. Marri Shashidhar Reddy alleges that Danam Nagendar is planning to jump into TRS very soon and so he is staying away from the party activities. So, he takes initiative for the sake of the party. He and some other leaders along with PCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah have met Governor Narasimhan today to submit a memorandum on housing scheme proposing by Telangana government.   Danam Nagendar fumes upon Shashidhar Reddy and Ponnala for not informing about their program. He said “They seem do not want me to stay in the party. Otherwise how can they conduct such programs on their own without my knowledge? Ponnala should be blamed for this. He is taking instant decisions and running the party aimlessly. Marri Shashidhar Reddy appears to be thinking that he becomes a big leader after making few rounds to Delhi. Actually, he is a disaster in the party. He never tried to strengthen the party, instead he is encouraging groups’ formation in the party. Whether they want me or not, I will continue in the Congress party till my last breathe. I am accountable to party President Sonia Gandhi only.”   Their fight reveals there is no coordination between the leaders. TRS may feel blessed for it as it wants to win the GHMC elections this time.

CM KCR plans to shift to Secretariat to Erragadda

  Telangana CM KCR’s plan to build a new high rise building for the state secretariat at Erragadda, where Chest dieses hospital and mental dieses hospitals are situated is getting mixed response from political circles and the employees.   BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy describes KCR’s ruling as Tuglak Ruling. He said “CM KCR is acting like a monarch and taking unilateral decisions. It is meaningless idea to believe that the state can attract huge investments if constructed high rise building in Hyderabad. CM KCR should convene an all-party meeting and take the suggestions from opposition parties, if his government has any plans to shift the Chest and Mental hospitals from their present locations to anywhere else.”   Some employees’ union leaders and TRS party leaders are supporting his decision, but doctors and other staff of both hospitals are strongly opposing state government’s move. However, CM KCR is determined to go ahead with its plan. His government has granted Rs. 7.7 crore for repairs and renovation of the sanatorium in Ananthagiri Hills in Vikarabad of Rangareddy district to where the Chest diseases hospital will be shifted very soon.   Telangana government plans to utilize 65 acres of prime land that belongs to Chest diseases hospital and 45 acres of prime land that belongs to mental diseases hospital for constructing a high rise building to accommodate its secretariat, Chief Minister’s office, various state government offices etc. under one roof. It is also planning to develop state owned parade ground in this location to conduct public meetings, Republic day functions etc.   Simultaneously, it plans to dispose the land where secretariat is stood now to enable the buyers build a high rise building in its place. However, CM KCR might be ignoring a point that the existing secretariat building is accommodating AP government also and part of the building will remain under its control for the next 9.5 years.

TDP leader to stage dharna at Pulivendula

  B Ramagopal Reddy, the TDP state general secretary is going to stage one-day dharna at Jagan Mohan Reddy’s native town Pulivendula on Thursday in protest against his proposed two-day hunger strike to be held at Tanuku in West Go0davari district on January 31, February 1st. He argue that Jagan Mohan Reddy is doing hunger strikes merely with political intentions and actually not for any cause. He said Jagan’s idea behind the hunger strike is to strengthen his party in the district and to attract the media attention.

BJP-PDP likely to form government in J & K soon

  The stalemate over post-poll alliance between political parties in Jammu and Kashmir State is continuing even one month after the verdict was declared. However, Union Minister for Home Rajnath Singh said that BJP and People’s Democratic Party may form government very soon as negotiations between the two parties are nearly completed and fruitful. He said that except three or four issues, both parties have come to consensus.   It is learnt that PDP has agreed to offer Deputy Chief Minister, Home Minister and some important portfolios to the BJP for having its support to form the government. In return, BJP may not rake the issues related to Article 370 etc.   However, both parties are differing on withdrawing special powers to army in Kashmir Valley, reviving talks with J&K separatists and Pakistan government over Kashmir issue. But, PDP may ignore those issues as it is desperate to grab the power in the state without any further delay.   PDP’s MLA Haseeb Drabhu and a team of BJP leaders headed by its general secretary Ram Madhav have met J&K Governor NN Vohra separately to brief him about their negotiations.   Jammu and Kashmir State was brought under Governor ruling on January 9th after none of the two parties are able to form the government. Hence, BJP and PDP may form the government in J&K State very soon.

Volvo Bus catches fire, Passengers safe

  Fatal fire accidents in high-tech Volvo Buses have become regular these days. Even before the memories of the tragic incidents of the past fatal accidents go down the memory, another Volvo bus that belongs to Praveen Travels catches fire on the national highway No:5 near Chagallu of Ulavadu Mandal in Prakasham district on Tuesday around mid-night. There are 35 passengers on board at the time of accident, but fortunately all of they have escaped from the fatal fire accident, as the driver of the bus alerted them before it is too late.   The bus was originated from Chennai and was leaving for Hyderabad, when catches fire. The bus driver has stopped the vehicle and asked the passengers to get down from the bus immediately, when he noticed smoke from the engine compartment on the rear side of the bus. Precious items like gold ornaments, laptops and original certificates etc. were burnt in the fire accident.

48 candidates in fray for Tirupati bye-elections

  Total 32 candidates have filed their nominations, including Congress candidate Rudraraju Sreedevi on the last day of Tuesday for the bye-elections for Tirupati Assembly constituency. Hence, the total number of candidates in the race shot up to 48. The actual number of candidates will be known on January 30th on the last date for withdrawing nominations. TDP fields Sugunamma as its candidate, the widow of its deceased MLA Venkata Ramana.   Congress party has allotted party ticket to Dwakra group president R Sreedevi. Subrahmanyam is contesting on behalf of Loksatta party. Rest of the candidates are independents. Hence, there is no scope for unanimous election of TDP candidate Sugunamma. However, the main fight would be between TDP and Congress party candidates.

Pakistan arrests 3,000 religious leaders

  The brutal massacre of army school children by Taliban militants in Peshawar in the last month, made Pakistan to determine to eliminate terrorists from its soil. Pakistan government has hanged around 70 terrorists during these two months period. Pakistan security forces have conducted a massive combing operation recently and nabbed 9,000 terrorists including 3000 are religious leaders and 3, 650 Afghanistan migrants also.   This is first time that Pakistan government allowing such a massive combing operation for terrorists. Knowing that arresting religious leaders in a country like Pakistan is very risky, Pakistan government arrests them on charges of having links with terrorists. Indeed, it is a very bold decision taken by Pakistan government. Hence, it deserve appreciation. But, it should realize that it can’t differentiate the terrorists as good and bad terrorists. If it goes soft with those terrorists, who are conspiring against India, one day or the other day they will prove fatal for it also. So, it should treat all terrorists with firm hand.

Madhavaram, Krishnaiah packed-up to join TRS

  TDP president Chandrababu Naidu has managed to keep his party intact in Telangana during the peak of crisis situation, but not after bifurcation of the state. Hence, many of his leaders are queuing-up to join ruling TRS party and most of them allege that they are leaving the party only because they do not get due respect for their services to the party.   However, it is not a secret that they are shifting their loyalties just to safeguard their political interests. All of they are joining TRS party only because it is in power otherwise they would have joined BJP or some other party. In fact, they couldn’t stop themselves from being tempted with ruling TRS party offers. However, whoever is leaving the party utters the same old excuse as if they believe people couldn’t understand the intentions behind their moves.   TDP MLAs Madhavaram Krishna Rao from Kukatpalli and R Krishnaiah from LB Nagar both are ready to leave the party with same excuses. Ultimately, their destination is also ruling TRS party. Nara Lokesh has tried to convince them, but they both have already made-up their minds. So, it is just a matter of a day or two hear the official announcement.   However, all those MLAs and leaders joining the ruling TRS party should realize that they may not get any special treatment unless they are worth for it. They should also realize that they may meet with similar fate of its Deputy Chief Minister T Rajaiah, if found fault.

Will someone has to sacrifice for Kadiyam?

  Telangana CM KCR has never given any slightest hint about replacing his deputy T Rajaiah with Kadiyam Srihari. But, it happened overnight. Now, two questions need to be answered.1 How CM KCR is planning to make Kadiyam Srihari get elected to either Assembly or Counsel within next six months, which is mandatory according to constitution. 2. What is fate of former Dy.CM T Rajaiah?   Since, Sri Hari has been inducted into CM KCR’s cabinet as his deputy, bye-elections to be held to fill up Warangal Loksabha seat vacated by him. Simultaneously, he has to get elected to either of the houses within next six months. There is no problem for finding a suitable candidate for his MP seat, but it would be very difficult to ask someone to vacate his Assembly or Legislative council seat for Sri Hari. He may prefer for a council seat rather than facing bye-elections. If so, CM KCR has to nominate him to upper house. Then also someone has to make sacrifice for him.   Next, the fate of T Rajaiah is hanging in the air after CM KCR expelled him from his cabinet, branding inefficient and incapable minister. However, he can’t throw him on to roads because he is most trusted leaders of the party. So, he has to provide some sort of employment to uphold his dignity. If he dumps him, it will send a wrong message to the people, especially SC and ST community people. So, CM KCR may not take much time to reveal his plans to address both these issues.

Sujana announces good News for AP state

  Union Minister of state for science and technology Y Sujana Chowdary has announced some good news to the people of Andhra Pradesh state. He said that Centre is all set to release first installment of funds Rs.1000 crores within 15 days for the construction of the new capital city of the state. He said Centre is keen to release more funds for the same purpose, but the state should have the capacity to spend that amounts. He said that Centre will bear entire financial burden of constructing major structures and infrastructure development like Assembly, Rajbhavan, High Court, Secretariat, residential colonies for employees and officers during the initial stage.   If, the Centre releases the funds at regular intervals, then the main part of construction of the new capital city may be completed within next four and half years. However, the state government is appealing the Centre to release funds to meet the budget deficit of Rs.16, 000 crore, otherwise it will land in troubles very soon. But, the Centre’s response to Chief Minister’s appeal is not known yet. However, since this announcement from YS Chowdary has come after Chandrababu Naidu meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley recently, one can expect more funds may be released in the near future.

Ponnala endorses his cast factor for his present status

  Telangana PCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah has endorsed that his cast factor has helped him to reach his present status. He attends foundation stone laying ceremony of his community building at Hanmakonda in Warangal district on Friday.   Speaking on the occasion, he said that the political awareness generated in his community people has come as a blessing for him. He said that he becomes a minister and now PCC President due to the political awareness developed in the community people. He appealed to bring the people of his community on to a common platform utilizing the advance technology like social networks Twitter and Face book etc. He said he is feeling the strength of having community support when attends this meeting.”   Ponnala Lakshmaiah is endorsing that his present status is the mercy of his community support. But, he may be not sure what he did to his community in return for enjoying its support all these decades. There are lakhs of poor people in his community, who badly need help from leaders like him. But, Ponnala and many leaders like him use the community people as stepping stones to reach the top and often ignore them. But, they preach the necessity of strengthening the community, perhaps hoping it will help him to develop further.

Competition inevitable in Tirupati bye-elections

  TDP has tried to make bye-elections for Tirupati Assembly constituency unanimous in favour of its candidate Sugunamma the widow of TDP MLA Venkata Ramana. It requests the Congress and the YSR Congress parties to let its candidate get elected unanimously without any competition. YSR Congress party has positively responds to its appeal. But, the Congress party has not made-up its mind until now on whether to contest the elections are leave the seat to TDP candidate.   Lok Satta party has fielded its candidate Balasubrahmanyam in the elections. Two independent candidates also have filed their nominations. TDP is reportedly trying to convince all of them to withdraw their nominations in favour of its candidate. If they prefer to stay in the race, then elections will become inevitable.   Actually, people expected that YSR Congress party may not agree to TDP’s proposal because it is desperate to prove that ruling TDP is fast losing its popularity among the people, but it agreed to leave the seat to its rival TDP. Even if Congress, Lok Satta and independents join the race, TDP candidate chances of winning the bye-elections are very fair, because TDP has strong hold on Tirupati constituency and also there is sympathy wave.

Patas Review - Shorted

Well, you need to watch the film on the big screen to know more about ‘Patas’. As they say, good things fall at a place for a hit film, this is the exact case of ‘Patas’. Kalyanram introduced Surender Reddy as a director with Athanokkade and the latter went on to become one of the top directors in Tollywood. Kalyanram’s latest discovery, Anil Ravipudi definitely belongs to the same cadre. It is very important for the director to blend action, comedy and sentiment in a film and Anil Ravipudi has done it with perfection in ‘Patas’. ‘Patas’ is definitely the best performance of Kalyanram in his entire career. It’s been close to a decade since Kalyanram delivered a hit film at the box-office and this fact is definitely a baggage for any director. Kalyanram has excelled as Kalyan Sinha and his full-on energetic mode is one of the major plus points for the film. Routine plot doesn’t bore the audience as the director understood the mass pulse and executed the film according to that. Balakrishna’s references and ‘Arey o Samba’ remix will be a feast for Nandamuri fans.

Is KCR trying to inject his views into children’s mind also?

  Telangana CM KCR’s obsessions for Nizam ruling and his hatred towards Andhra are well known to everyone. He leaves no chance to praise Nizam ruling and criticize Andhra ruling. Hence, he seems is trying to inject his views into next generation also by adding them as lessons in the history subject for the school children. Simultaneously, he is also trying to educate the next generation about his hard efforts and agitations for Telangana state creation.   However, as if to avoid criticism from opposition parties, the lesson on Telangana struggle will cover all the agitations taken place between 1969-2014, including KCR’s hunger strike and consequent developments. According to available information, the lesson will cover everyone who fought for the cause including, Sakala Janaula Samme, students and youth sacrifices etc. There will be elaborate notes about various development activities like constructing educational institutions, Hospitals, Irrigation Projects etc. built during Nizam ruling.   The lessons will also cover Telangana revolutionists A Ramachandra Reddy, Doddi Mallaiah, Chakali Ilamma, Nalla Narasimhulu, A. Kamaladevi, Mugdhum Mohinudeen, and Shek Bandagi etc. and their fight between 1946 and 1951. It may also have Jai Telangana agitation 1969, Mulki rules, Gentlemen agreement and its violation, Andhra leaders’ conspiracies against Telangana state creation. There is nothing wrong if mentioned about Telangana struggle, but may be criticized if KCR plans to project himself as father of Telangana as boasted by TRS party.

Who is wrong? Anna Hazare or Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi?

  No doubt Anna Hazare, the founder of India against Corruption (IAC) has introduced Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi to politics with his popular agitations for Jan Lokpal bill and fight against corruption. His motto is to eliminate corruption in the politics and from the government administration with agitations. He opposes joining active politics or contesting elections.   Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi also followed his policy and principles but they both depart from him one by one in the course of time. First, Arvind Kejriwal left him in 2012 to launch his Aam Admi party and recently Kiran Bedi left Anna to join BJP.   They both used to criticize the BJP and Congress parties in the past. But, now Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi both are criticizing each other and they both criticizing the Congress party also. Anna Hazare also criticizes them both, ofcourse BJP and the Congress parties also.   So, all these developments may make the people think who is right and who is wrong in these three persons. Has Anna Hazare adopted a wrong policy by restricting himself and his followers from joining active politics, with which his followers are departing him? Or have Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi used Anna Hazare’s popularity and his IAC platform to become popular before implementing their political ideas?   Anna Hazare has stated that they both not given any slightest hint about their interest to join active politics before they leaves him. So, he seems is believing that they both have used him as a stepping stone to reach their present position.   But, can anyone agree that his policy to eliminate corruption from the country without participating in the democratic process is correct? If not, what else anyone can do to achieve that goal? If, Anna Hazare believes that taking part in democratic process is a sin, can anyone cling to him? If so, Anna Hazare has to be blamed for their departure. Would he launch a political party instead of IAC forum and encouraged his followers to contest elections probably it would have yield him better results than this painful experiences.   However, Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi both also have made some mistakes. Arvind Kejriwal accepts the Congress party support to become Chief Minister of Delhi and Kiran Bedi joins the BJP to become Chief Minister of Delhi, which they used to criticize earlier. Would they really have high morals, they would have avoided both BJP and the Congress parties and joined hands to fight them.   So, these three leaders have committed some mistakes and adopt some wrong policies knowingly or unknowingly. However, people have to excuse them all as they are much honest than any other typical politicians in the country.

Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah died

  Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah (90) passed away at 1am on Friday. He was ailing with health problems since last few months. His half-brother Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (79), who was named as his successor by him earlier, has become Saudi Arabia’s King now. Country will observe three days mourning for the death of its King.   King Abdullah had brought several reforms in the country during his tenure. The womenfolk in the country who were forbidden to have education and to work in the offices, institutions and media have been allowed during his regime. For the first time in the country’s history, he let co-education in the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, which opened in 2009.   For the first time in the country’s history, his government grants permission to some female lawyers to work in the courts. For the first time in the country’s history, he allowed women to share some seats in the Shura Council, an unelected body that advises the king and government. He also promised to conduct first ever municipal elections in the country in 2015 and to let the women contest in them. He let two female athletes from the country to participate in the Olympics in 2012. He also appointed country’s first ever deputy minister in his government in year 2009. So, the womenfolk in the country may feel very sorry for his death.   He was also a strong partner to US in its fight against Al-Qaeda terrorists. Though, he supports US for its military operations on Iraq to nab its president Saddam Hussein, later he stressed for withdrawal of US army from Iraq.   Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tweets: In King Abdullah, we have lost an important voice who left a lasting impact on his country. I condole his demise. Our thoughts are with the people of Saudi Arabia, who have lost a guiding force in King Abdullah, during this hour of grief.

MS Narayana passes away

  Popular actor and Telugu comedian MS Narayana had passed away on Friday. It's a known fact that he was rushed to private hospital in Bhimavaram on Sankranti after he suffered a heart attack. He was soon shifted to KIMS hospital in Hyderabad. The family of the actor and the Telugu film fraternity have confirmed ms narayana death. The actor has played character roles in over 700 movies. MS Narayan has also written dialogues for 8 films.

Happy Birthday to Nara Lokesh

  The youth icon of TDP Nara Lokesh is celebrating his birth day today at his party head office NTR Trust Bhavan at Hyderabad. He has proved himself as a successful businessman and is adding silver lining to his TDP by introducing several new ideas like creating welfare fund for the party workers, providing insurance coverage to the active members of the party, using latest technology to reach the people and party workers etc.   Though he was expected to contest in the general elections held in the last year, he limits himself to campaign and so as to ensure victory for the party. However, he declared that he will contest in the next elections. Currently, he is serving as coordinator of the party workers’ welfare fund. He plans to focus full attention on his party in the Telangana state to strengthen it before next general elections.   TDP leaders and party workers from Andhra and Telangana states are also grandly celebrating his birthday by conducting blood donation camps etc. Teluguone wishes him a very Happy Birthday and a grand success in his personal and political life.

Will Congress ever admit and realize its mistakes?

  Congress party shocked to hear its senior leader Janardhan Dwivedhi is praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said a new ear has begun after Narendra Modi takes charge as Prime Minister of the country. He said the country is now spearheading in right direction.   Obviously, Congress high command finds it very hard to digest, as Modi is the one who clinched its fortune and future as well. If, Modi was not there in the elections battle, probably Congress chances of retaining power at Centre may be bright and Rahul Gandhi would have been ruling the country in place of Narendra Modi now. So, it seeks an explanation from Janardhan for praising Modi. He tried to convince his high command that he doesn’t mean to praise Narendra Modi, but just wanted to say Modi era has begun in the BJP. But, Congress high command felt that his statement is sending a wrong message to the people that Modi ruling is far better than UPA ruling.   So, its official spokesperson Ajay Makan came to media and stated “Several welfare and development activities initiated by our UPA government in the country have come to a grinding halt after Modi take reins of the country. His government is putting more efforts on communal issues rather than development activities, because it is working under influence of RSS its offshoot organizations.”   Hence, it is understood that Congress high command is still believes that its 10 years of corrupted ruling was a golden era in the Indian history. It may not accept the bitter fact that several scams have taken place during its regime with which it not only lost power but also ruined the country’s reputation among the international community. Whether it accepts this fact or not, CBI questioning former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on coal blocks allocation scam is a fine testimony of its worst ruling. If, the Congress high command pretends as if it has not noticed what people of the country are thinking about its ruling and continues to bluff itself, probably it may never get a chance to return to power anywhere in the country.
