Secretariat shifting idea may back fire again

Telangana CM KCR’s ideas appear to be often back firing at his government. His government is forced to drop many of his decisions and G.O.s issued during his nine months of ruling. The latest one is shifting of Secretariat to the proposed new building to be constructed at Erragadda and his decision to shift the Chest and Mental dieses to Vikarabad. The reason ‘Vasthu problem’ he said for his decision gave an opportunity to opposition parties to aim their guns at him.
Moreover, he simply ignores a basic point that any such decisions need Governor’s consent as he is the care taker of Hyderabad city till the city remains common capital for both states.
Next, the AP government is operating from Secretariat and can’t be asked to vacate it unless it wants to move out. Telangana government can’t force it to vacate or even ask it to shift to some other building because Governor alone has that discretional power to order the AP government to do so.
CM KCR also seems to be made another mistake. He has not bothered to inform the Governor about his ideas or take his permission before announcing to the media. According to reports, Governor’s office may write a letter to Chief Secretary of Telangana government asking for explanation about the media reports on this matter.
Obviously, Governor may not allow CM KCR to implement his ideas because there are no strong reasons to convince him. If, he takes opposition parties protests and arguments into consideration, then he may simply reject CM KCR’s proposals, which may again create an embarrassing situation for both.
Apart from TDP, BJP, Left Parties, AP government is also going to raise objections on shifting of Secretariat, Chest and Mental hospitals from their places, taking cue from the AP Reorganization Bill-2014. Scholars and exerts in Hyderabad are also strongly objecting CM KCR’s proposals. They argue that it may help only to worsen the traffic problems if Secretariat is shifted to Erragadda area that is already very congested.
CM KCR found Vasthu problems in the existing Secretariat building. But, Vasthu Pundits observed that there are 11 major Vasthu problems in the Erragadda hospital area. They predict that if the Secretariat is shifted there then Telangana government may face more problems than ever before. So, it seems all these conditions may force CM KCR to gulp down his idea again or should be prepared to rattle by the courts again.
