Bihar Politics runs like a suspense thriller

The political drama in the Bihar state is continuing with unexpected twists like a suspense thriller TV serial. Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, who is claiming of having sufficient MLAs support has to prove his strength in the Assembly tomorrow. But, Patna High Court has disqualified seven ministers of his cabinet from taking part in the trust vote tomorrow. Although, their votes are not sufficient to stay afloat, every vote will counts in this crucial moment. Therefore, the court’s verdict proves to be a deadly blow for Jitan Ram Manjhi.   But, he receives pleasant surprise news from the state BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi. He assured Manjhi that all 87 MLAs of his party will support him during the trust vote. But, they won’t join his government, even if wins the vote of confidence of the house, said Sushil Kumar Modi. Actually, Manjhi is making his moves relying upon BJP MLAs support. But, BJP takes a ‘U’ turn after Nitish Kumar has strongly criticized it.   Just a day before, Suresh Kumar Modi categorically told Manjhi that his party MLAs prefer to sit in the opposition benches and can’t support him in the prevailing situation. But, today his party once again changed its game plans and came forward to support Manjhi during trust vote. Sushil Kumar said “Our party MLAs have unanimously agreed to support Jitan Ram Manjhi to give a strong reply to Nitish Kumar for humiliating Mahadalit leader. We are anxious to take revenge and teach a good lesson to Nitish Kumar for humiliating Mahadalit leader.”   Hence, Manjhi gave an open offer of Minister Posts to those JD (U) MLAs, who are ready to support him tomorrow. Bihar Assembly full strength is 233 at present. BJP is having 87 MLAs of it. JD (U) has 111 MLAs. The magic figure to form the government is 117. So, Jitan Ram Manjhi has to attract at least 30 MLAs from JD (U) before tomorrow morning. RJD lead by Laloo Prasad Yadav and the Congress party both are backing Nitish Kumar.   So, if he could stop his party MLAs from jumping the fence, he can become Chief Minister of the state otherwise Jitan Ram Manjhi will retain his CM Chair and the government. Hence, the JD (U) MLAs have to weigh their chances between Nitish Kumar and Jitan Ram Manjhi. This high suspense drama will conclude tomorrow afternoon and the winner will occupy the Chief Minister Chair.

YSRCP will come to power in TS: Vijayamma

YSR Congress party has made it clear that it is serious about its plans to return to the Telangana state, by opening a separate office for its Telangana branch at Banjara Hills near Jagan Mohan Reddy’s residence Lotus Pond in Hyderabad. Party honorary president Vijayamma has inaugurated the party office on Sunday.   Speaking on the occasion, “Both Andhra and Telangana Chief Ministers are doing nothing except making tall claims. They both fail to keep their promises made to the people. But, late Rajashekhar Reddy is still alive in the hearts of people of both states as he worked for their welfare. I am sure if we strive hard our party will definitely come into power in the Telangana state after next elections.”   It is nice to see her encouraging her party workers and leaders with such assurance. But, there is not one strong reason or point to believe it, except relying upon late YSR factor. It was proved with Sharmila’s Paramarsha Yatra. If, the YSR Congress party wants to return to the Telangana state, first it has to remind the people about late Rajashekhar Reddy and his regime or else it has to criticize the Telangana government, the way it is doing in the Andhra Pradesh.   People of Telangana may not lend their ears to late YSR bhajan made by her or her daughter. So, the mother and daughter have to aim their guns on the TRS and the Telangana government to catch the attention of the people. But, the YSR Congress party is still not sure what stand it has to take about the ruling TRS party and the Telangana government with which it has good terms.   So, if it doesn’t want to aim its guns on the government, then it has to stick to its bhajan of late YSR. No political party can achieve success merely with such Bhajans. It was proved in the AP state during the general elections and will be proved in the future elections also.   Moreover, YSRCP may face a question from the people why it deserts them before bifurcation of the state and why it opposed Telangana state creation. So, before stepping into Telangana state, first it should find answers to all these questions.

Farmers to hold an all-party meeting at Thullur

The AP and Central governments may feel pinch with social activist Anna Hazare’s two day dharna to be held at Jantar Mantar, Delhi on February 23 and 24th protesting amending of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. The farmers of nine villages opposing the land acquisition for the capital city construction at Thullur also will join his dharna.   Besides NDA and the AP governments, Kejriwal’s government also may face some law and order problems, if Anna Hazare manages to mobilize people in large number to his dharna. Anna Hazare criticizes Modi for being more inclined towards the rich businessmen and industrialists than the poor farmers and down trodden people in the country. However, Modi government may felt great relief after hearing that he limits his dharna to only two days instead of indefinite one.   The farmers of nine villages of Thullur Mandal are going to hold an all-party-meeting at Thullur on Thursday to decide their future course of action. If, the Congress and YSR Congress parties that are supporting their fight will agree to join their dharna at Jantar Mantar, both parties will definitely try to project this land acquisition matter before national media. So, it would be very embarrassing for both Chandrababu and the Modi governments.   The Congress leaders in the AP state are struggling to attract the media and their high command’s attention these days. So, they may not leave this chance. No surprise if they even arrange a meeting with their party president Sonia Gandhi. So, the all-party meeting scheduled for tomorrow is considered to be very significant. Farmers of nine villages of Thullur mandal will leave for New Delhi on February 22nd by trains.

Can the Thullur villagers rely upon the YSRCP?

The YSR Congress party’s legislative leaders will visit the nine villages of Thullur Mandal on February 23rd, where farmers are not willing to give their lands to the government for capital city construction. They will conduct series of meetings with farmers and note down their opinions, objections and problems they are facing with the land acquisition process being conducted by the government. Later, they will raise these issues in the upcoming Assembly session, said party’s senior leader Pardha Saradhi.   He alleges that ruling the TDP government is campaigning that the YSR Congress party is opposing the capital city construction. He said that his party is not averse for constructing capital city at Thullur, but opposing clinching of farmers’ agricultural lands by force.   Agriculture minister of the state Prattipati Pulla rao stated that around 19, 000 acres of land was collected so far and he is expecting to collect rest of the 10, 000 acres of land before end of this month.   His statement is categorically revealing that majority of the people in Thullur Mandal are satisfied with the package offered by the state government under land pooling system, otherwise they also would have opposed this process. But, people in the nine villages only are opposing the process because they opine the package is not worth for their fertile lands. Hence, the state government has to convince them offering even better package or find some alternative to find an amicable solution to this problem.   The YSR Congress that is very desperate to defame the government may be visiting those nine villages only to provoke the people against the state government. It may assure them to fight on behalf of them in the Assembly and the courts. But, it may surely desert them when they badly struck with the legal or some other problems. If seen its track record farmers can understand it. YSRCP betrays its Telangana leaders. It picks and drops its Samaikyandhra agitations after the elections were over. People are aware why it’s president Jagan Mohan Reddy has conducted Odarpu Yatras and gearing for Raithu Bharosa Yatras now. So, if the farmers should think about better options than relying upon the YSRCP.

Dilshukh Nagar twin blasts conspiracy unleashed

The Central Crime Branch officials have found that a homeopathy doctor Sayyeed Ismail Afakhi known as ‘doctor saheb’ in Bangalore is the man, who supplied explosives to the Indian Mujahuddeen terrorists for Dilshukh Nagar twin bomb blasts that occurred on 2013, February 21st. CCB police have arrested him and three others Saddam Hussein, Abdul Suboor and Riyaz Ahmad Sayyeedi in the last month from Bangalore.   The investigating agency found that Dr. Ismail belongs to Batkal village in the north Karnataka state. He used to take instructions from the mastermind of this twin bomb blast Riyaz Batkal, who is now taking shelter in Pakistan. The two terrorists Asadullah Akthar alias Haddi (resident of Ajamghad in UP state) and Zia Ur Rehman alias Waqas (Pakistani citizen) took a flat (No: 301) in Jaffire Towers in Bangalore before conducting these twin bomb blasts.   Riyaz Batkal was used to co-ordinate with all these people from Pakistan through chatting. However, he doesn’t let them know about each other during the entire operation. Ajeej Sheikh, who is working as a software engineer in Pune city was assigned to handover Rs.6.8 lakh cash to one of the terrorists Haddi. He delivered that amount to Haddi through Supama Forense Pvt. Ltd and a hawala dealer in Bangalore.   Dr. Sayyeed Ismail handed over 25 kgs of ammonium nitrate and 30 detonators to Haddi at Unity Health Center in Mangalore. Tehseen Akthar and Waqas, who planted bombs in two different places in Dilshukh Nagar have reached Hyderabad and took a room on rent at Abdullahpurmet area. Finally, they complete this operation on 2013, February 21st and flee away from the place, but later nabbed by the CCB police.   The investigating agency was able to nab seven out of the eight conspirators of this twin bomb blasts case in which several people were died and dozens of people were badly injured. Pakistan is giving shelter to Riyaz Batkal, the master mind behind this conspiracy.

High Drama continuing in Bihar politics

A high drama is continuing between the ruling JD (U) and the BJP in Bihar State ever since Nitish Kumar tried to dethrone the Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. He made his party MLAs to elect him as their legislative leader but he couldn’t go ahead any further because the Governor Tripathi did not allow him to prove his strength in the house. He gave the chance to Jitan Ram Manjhi first, who still sticks to his CM Chair and claiming of having sufficient strength to run the government. He asked Manjhi to prove his strength in the house on February 20th.   So far, Jitan Ram Manjhi was making claims of having sufficient strength relying upon the 88 BJP MLAs support. The BJP is also prepared to support him, but it is now hesitating to support him after Nitish Kumar flays the BJP for playing murky politics in the state using CM Jitan Ram Manjhi like a puppet.   Hence, the Bihar BJP senior leader Sushil Modi said “We will stay in the opposition for the next six months rather than trying any experiment with anyone.” However, the BJP is still eyeing all options to support the Manjhi government. If it believes there is no risk for the party, it may support CM Manjhi or may walk-out of the house during trust vote. Sushil Modi said "we are not averse to admit Manjhi or Nitish Kumar into our party. All they have to do is just lift the phone and give us a ring. It is so simple.”   Currently, Nitish Kumar is trying to keep his MLAs away from Manjhi and he is trying to lure them to get their support. But, finally Manjhi may resign to his post and recommend the governor for dissolution of his government in the last minute to prevent Nitish Kumar taking over his CM Chair. But, the Governor may not think about that option when Nitish Kumar is ready to prove his strength in the house. So, this high end political drama may ends only on February 20th.

It helps to reunite Congress cadres: Raghuveera admits

Congress leaders in AP and the Telangana states have become active again. They took different issues to retain their lost glory and to keep their party intact. Telangana Congress leaders are aiming their guns on the ruling TRS government and the AP Congress leaders are aiming both on the state and central governments simultaneously for this purpose.   T-Congress leaders have picked local issues like shifting of chest and mental care hospitals and making hue and cry over the government’s decision. Their counterparts in the AP state are drawing swords on the state government over land acquisition for the capital city. Simultaneously, they are kick starts an agitation demanding the central government to implement all promises made in the AP Reorganization Bill, including granting of special status to the state. They have also launched a statewide one crore-signatures’ program for it.   APCC President Raghuveera Reddy speaking on this occasion at Nellore city yesterday has declared that state Congress leaders will conduct ‘Chalo Delhi’ program on February 23rd to stress the Modi government to fulfill all the promises made in the AP Reorganization Bill. He said party Chief Sonia Gandhi and other leaders also will join them in the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.   Although, Congress leaders appear to be fighting for a noble cause, Raghuveera Reddy’s statement categorically reveals their intentions behind all this hue and cry is something else. He admitted that this program has helped the party to reunite again. Hence, the purpose of their hue and cry is not for the sake of the people or the state interests but to save their dying Congress party.

Great Robbery in Sri Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple

Often people watch reports about thieves breaking the temple locks and stealing the gold and silver ornaments and small money from the hundis. But, no one may heard about 266 kgs of gold theft until now.   It happens in the Sri Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Trivandrum in Kerala. But, here in this case no outsiders have barged into the temple and looted the gold but it was insiders only. Some officials of the temple have shown their handwork and robbed gold ornaments weighing 266 kgs during the course of last one decade or even before from that period.   A huge treasure worth Rs. 1 lakh crore consisting mainly gold ornaments studded with diamonds and other precious stones was found in the six vaults located in the basement area of the temple one and half decades ago. Supreme Court orders the CAG to audit the treasure in the vaults after several stories unleashed in the media about gold ornaments missing from the vaults.   The audit report submitted to the court reveals that 266 kgs of gold was missing from the vault during the process of gold plating of certain parts of the temple. It was submitted in the report that the temple officials have opened the vaults 82 times and taken out 893 kgs of gold for this purpose during last one decade. The officials also have taken out 82 gold vessels studded with precious stones during 2002 but returned 78 vessels only.   However, no one was blamed or no was made accountable for the missing gold. The matter was surfaced only after conducting an audit by the CAG. So, it was a great robbery of the huge treasure, yet no one was caught or found guilty. Indeed, this case and robbery deserves an entry into gunnies world records as no robber in the world can rob so much gold without being caught by the police.
