AP CM Chandrababu Naidu will go to New Delhi on Sunday to meet Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His visit to Delhi is very significant in wake of the negative reactions developed in the state over the financial package released by the Centre to the state two days ago. He may explain them about the consequent developments taking place in the state and the reactions of opposition parties over this issue, which is harmful to both BJP and TDP.
Telangana government’s decision to increase the salaries of its employees may also create an unseen pressure on his government. He may appeal them to release sufficient funds to compensate the budget deficit. He may remind them about many pending projects like IIT, IIM, AIMS and Polavaram etc. that need central clearances and funds release. Unless, the Centre gives clearances and sufficient funds in time, state government may not go ahead with its development plans.
There are two massive projects Capital city construction and three Metro Rail projects that need huge funds from the Centre. So, Chandrababu Naidu may ask the Centre for a time bound plan for funds release and clearances for all these projects. If, he could convince the Finance Minister and Prime Minister to release minimum Rs.10, 000 crore before end of the current financial year, everything may go smooth, otherwise state government may land into financial problems.
