TDP demands IT to raid Botsa house also

  While everyone is predicting a political blast with recent IT raids on Tollywood producer Bandla Ganesh house and office, with whom PCC president Botsa satyanarayana is said to be having business dealings as his film financier, nothing happens even after a day of their raids. Hence, senior TDP leader Varla Ramayya takes initiative demanding the IT officials to conduct raids on Botsa Satyanarayana’s house and offices also to unearth his secret investments in film industry as well as his wine syndicates. Ramayya also demands the IT department to conduct raids on film actor Nagarjuna’s house for his regular visits to Chanchalguda jail to meet an eminent person.

Congress likely to dominate in DCCB elections

  It would be a great relief for ruling Congress party of the state, to continue its triumph in DCCB and DCMS elections, which until now is passing through its odd times since last few years. Congress has grabbed lion share in the recently conducted co-operative society elections. Now it is all set to make a clean swipe or pocket maximum seats in District Co-operative banks and District marketing societies.   Congress, which won around 1200 societies in the recent elections, obviously has the edge over its rival parties. Depending on these results, Congress is going to definitely win at least 18 DCCB Chairman posts, while its rivals TDP will be confined 3 districts (Kammam, Krishan and Guntur) and YSRCP to one district (Kadapa).   The election notification will be announced on February15th. Withdrawing of nominations on 16th and elections will be held on 18th for both DCCB and DCMS. The elected directors of both DCCB and DCMS will elect their Chairmen on the next day, that is on February 19th.   However, the group wars within political parties has turned a cause of concern for the political parties, as they threaten to join hands with rival parties, if the party fails to support their group candidates. All the 3 major political parties Congress, YSR Congress and TDP are suffering with same problems. Hence, the present statistics may change depending upon the change of political equations in the district level.

Won’t go back to TDP: Nagam

  Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who came out of TDP dreaming to play a bigger role in Telangana agitations is despaired to find himself standing alone in cross roads that leads to nowhere. He was neither invited into TRS nor given a seat in T-JAC even a year after his his departing from TDP.   At the same time it upsets him to see TRS and T-JAC hugging former T-NGO president Swamy Goud, while keeping him at bay.   When, all his efforts to promote himself into T-JAC failed, Nagam Janardhan Reddy has came open to cross swords with TRS and T-JAC. He sharply criticized KCR, Prof.Kodhandaram and their TRS and T-JAC for not honoring him and his fight for Telangana cause. He said if they would have contested in Mehboob Nagar against him, they would have understood his capacity. He flays both for concentrating on upcoming elections than on Telangana agitations.   Since, he has reached to a point of no return by raising finger against KCR, Prof.Kodhandaram and Chandrababu Naidu, he virtually closed doors on himself at all parties. During his recent interview given to a leading news channel he said that although he become lonely in his fight for Telangana, he will continue and not interested to return to TDP.   However, this could be considered as a last attempt of sending feelers to TDP. If, the party is interested it may respond to him in a positive way, otherwise he has take asylum with BJP, the only choice left for him.

How comedian turned big producer over night?

  The Income Tax officials, who raids on Tollywood producer Bandla Ganesh house and office on yesterday have seized important documents and other valuables from his house. It was reported that he was summoned to IT office since, he doesn’t co-operate with the officials during the 36 hours of raids. According to information he was asked to pay Rs. 1 crore as advance fine for the irregularities that were found during the raids.   Bandla Ganesh, the once small time comedian is a native of Guntur. Later his family has shifted to Karnataka, where they were engaged in agriculture works. But, they returns to Hyderabad few years back and started poultry business in the out skirts of the city.   Bandla Ganesh, who used to look after the poultry business has gradually shifted to real estate business and said to be earned enough money to produce a film. By the time he started producing the films, he was already known as small time comedian.   But, when he begins his second innings as producer, every one in the industry was surprised to see him rich over night. There were rumors that he is binami producer of Transport Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, who actually funding the films. Ganesh has launched his own banner Parameswara Arts and made his first film ‘Anjaneyulu’ with Ravi Teja, but it was a flop. Then he produced film ‘Teen Maar’ with power star Pawan Kalyan, which was also become a flop again.   While, everyone believed that he is out with two consequent flops, he made another big film ‘Gabbar Singh’ with Pawan Kalyan and this time it was a big hit to his relief. Currently, he is producing two big films ‘Badshah’ with Jr.NTR and ‘Eddaru Ammayilato’ with Allu Arjun. Recently, he gave advance to writer turned director Koratala Siva for another film.   All these high end activities of Bandla Ganesh have attracted the IT department and finally he was booked by them. When, they raid his home and offices, many expect that they are going to unearth the links between the producer and politician. However, so far no such links were established between them.

Lokesh asks youth to justify their votes

  Nara Lokesh, who is taking active part in the party affairs these days has attends a meeting held by the party students federation wing president Eediga Anjaneya Goud at Kadiri in Anantapur district on Monday. Addressing the youth Lokesh asked them to justify their votes by casting in favor of TDP, which alone can give a good governance. He said their votes will be vital in the upcoming elections. Hence he asked them to extend their support to TDP. He has talked to them in detail answering their questions on different issues related to party and the elections.   Lokesh is keen to join active politics at the earliest, but he is waiting for a nod from the party high command. Hence, in the mean time he is making himself femelear with the party affairs and cadres. Most probably, he may swing into action once his father concludes his padayatra and returns home.

Is Botsa to step down from PCC Prez post soon?

  In accordance with recent decession of ‘one person-one post’ taken by the Congress high command, Botsa Satyanarayana, who is simulteneously holding two posts as PCC president and State Transport Minister, has to quit either of his posts.   During his recent visit to New Delhi, Congress high command has asked him to begin implementation of its order with himself first, before suggesting it to anyone else in the state. Perhaps, it is because the Congress high command is very unhappy with him for two reasons. Firstly, it was his recent announcement about expelling 9 MLAs from the party, which could have bring down the state government. Next, his attendence at ‘Jai Andhra Sabha’ held by Undavalli Arun Kumar at Rajahmundry few weeks ago, is the other reason that makes the party high command unhappy with him. Hence, it has asked him to quit either of his posts.   Botsa, after returning from New Delhi is discussing the issue with his followers and well wishers. Botsa opines that in wake of Telangana and Samaikyandhra problems, sticking to PCC post is vulnerable. More over, if he prefers to stick to PCC president post, he will be made accountable for the upcoming elections verdict, come it may be positive or negative. Hence, he would like to retain his Transport Ministry, so as to he can spare more time on his constituency. So, soon he is expected to make an announcement in this regard.

Kiran hints to get rid off Jagan loyalists?

  CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, who returns from New Delhi recently seems to be given a free hand to firmly deal with dissidents in the party. Responding to the feed back given by party leaders of Addanki constituency in Prakasham district about their MLA Gottipati Ravi Kumar intentions of joining YSR Congress party, said “Those who are going to ruin themselves will take such decisions. It makes no difference to Congress if a handful of MLAs leave the party to join the other. They will be replaced with the young generation leaders, with whom the party can win the elections. Just like the new water replaces the old water in the river, new leaders replace the dissidents in the party. Congress party depends on the workers and not on the leaders. It was proved with the cooperative society elections.”   In wake of Botsa Satyanarayana’s recent announcement about expelling 9 MLAs loyal to YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy, Kiran’s statement is hints that the party is ready to face mid-term elections rather than running the government at his mercy.

Blame game over Kumbh tragedy

  The tragic incident that takes lives of 36 innocent pilgrims at Allahabad Railway station during the Maha Kumbhmela on Sunday, leads to a furious political battle between the ruling Samajwadi party of UP, Congress and BJP. Instead of taking corrective measures further, Akhilesh government has blamed the Railway ministry that is linked to Central government for its lapses in providing sufficient foot-over bridges at Allahabad railway station to meet the mad rush. BJP has blamed Akhilesh government and the UPA for not making elaborate arrangement that could prevent this tragedy.   Congress party blames Samajwadi party for politicizing the issue. Congress party official spokes person Manish Tiwari has condemned the reports of collapse of the foot-over bridge at Allahabad Railway station. He said whoever died in the accident were found fall down from the bridge as the retaining wall of the bridge was collapsed due to excess load, but not because the entire bridge was collapsed as reported by the media. He said the bridge is still in perfect condition and can stand to load test at any given time. He asked the Samajwadi party leaders to refrain from blaming the Congress party, where as it should take the responsibility for the tragedy.   Railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal also condemned the reports about bridge collapse. He said his ministry takes every precaution to ensure security to the passengers. He ordered for an inquiry of the accident.   The first victim of this political blame game Mohammad Azam Khan, In-charge of Kumbh Mela and minister in Alhilesh Yadav cabinet has quit his In-charge post owing moral responsibility to the tragedy. He said though, the accident happens out of his specified range, he would like to take moral responsibility of it and quits his post.

Komati Reddy returns to Congress fold!

  Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, who quits his minister for Telangana sake and seen aligning with TRS party during last few months, was expected to bid good bye to Congress party any time. But, he has suddenly changed his mind and returns to Kiran Kumar Reddy for a patch up on yesterday. After having a close door meeting with him, he told the media that they have discussed about the cooperative society elections. He said the election of DCCB president was unanimous at Nalgonda. Earlier, he has sharply criticized Minister K.Jana Reddy describing him as betrayer and power hungry man. But, now he says there are no differences with any one including Jana Reddy.   But, what makes him change his mind so suddenly? Probably, his delicate situation all these days without power and party support might have realized him that it would be wise to glue to Congress party rather moving aimlessly. More over, he doesn’t want to see his political future hang in the air, while all the parties including TRS is busy finalizing their candidates lists for the upcoming elections. So, his return to party fold is no big surprise and certainly a wise decision taken by him.

Are the directors not accountable for failures?

                            A hot debate has begun in the film industry with two big directors, who takes an awesome pay packs but delivered dud films at the end. They are directors Lawrence Raghavendra and Mani Ratnam. Everyone knows how their films ‘Rebel’ and ‘Kadali’ have miserably failed at box office.   Lawrence not only delivered a dud but also makes his producers J.Pulla rao and Bhagawan cry with crossing all the pre-set limits of the budget of the film, by taking his own time in completing the film. Yet, the film was failed to get minimum returns to the producers.   Hence, they have lodged a complaint against him with Producers’ Council, which in return asked Lawrence to refund Rs.2.5 crores to producers as compensation. But, even after two months he didn’t respond to their orders. So, they have decided to take action against him soon.   Director Mani Ratnam, who always has his word final in making the films, also delivers a dud film ‘Kadal’, which was dubbed and released in Telugu as ‘Kadali.’ Both the versions of the films proved to be disasters to the producers and to film distributors. So, the film distributors in Chennai hit the streets demanding compensation for the losses. They have staged protests in front of Mani Ratnam’s house at Adayar in Chennai on Saturday evening.   Both these incidents proves that the directors who take away an attractive pay packs can’t be allowed to escape free from their responsibilities of ensuring minimum guarantee to their films. The producers and distributors demand them to be accountable for the losses occurred due to their inefficiency.

Sharmila makes Gali swallow his words

  YSRCP leader Sharmila by throwing a challenge to TDP leader Gali Muddhu Krishnam Naidu to prove the allegations that he made against her has made him swallow his words. She said if he could prove his allegations are true, she is ready to hold his legs and demands him for the same if he fails to prove his allegations. She also criticized him and his leaders for making such silly remarks against her, who is of his daughter’s age. She asked him being elder should refrain from making such remarks against her.   Gali, who doesn’t expect such a sharp reaction from her was shocked and has to swallow his words. He said “I didn’t say that she didn’t undergo operation. I just asked her to tell us to which leg she had operation. But, her response to my enquiry reminds the factionist tone of her region. She should have talked more decently in responding to seniors and elders in the politics. Every one knows who is holding whose legs at New Delhi for Jagan Mohan Reddy’s release.”

36 Kumbh Pilgrims Killed in Allahabad Railway Station Stampede

          Kumbh Mela 2013 Allahabad: The death toll in the stampede at Allahabad railway station reached 36 today, with 14 more people succumbing to their injuries.   The incident occurred near the foot overbridge on platform number 6. On Sunday, the railway authorities, had refused to confirm the deaths till the filing of the report. The stampede, which took place at around 8.00pm, also left many persons severely injured. Sources said majority of victims killed were elderly persons. The tragic incident, reports said, took place when more than 1.5 lakh devotees thronged Allahabad junction to board return trains for their respective destinations after Mauni Amavasya Snan. The massive rush of devotees resulted in the breaking of railing on foot overbridge and subsequently the stampede. NCR chief public relation officer Sandeep Mathur said due to sudden rush of passengers at Allahabad junction the railing of the foot overbridge near platform number 6 broke and in the process many passengers fell from the staircase of the foot overbridge, leading to stampede. He, however, refused to confirm the number of death or critically injured.  

Prof.Kodhandaram changes his stand on TDP?

  T-JAC Chairman Prof.Kodhandaram has changed his stand on TDP, which gives consent for Telangana state formation to the Center in the all party meeting held in December last year. Addressing the Telangana educated forum members at Hyderabad on Sunday.   Prof.Kodhandaram said that Congress, YSR Congress and TDP which were ruled by Seemandhra leaders can’t be relied on Telangana issue as they are still opposing the state formation by heart. He said these parties are talking in favor of Telangana for time being only because they were succumbed to pressures from Telangana agitations. Hence, he asked the members not to believe these 3 political parties and their pro-Telangana statements. He asked them to allow those leaders from these three political parties, who join the Telangana agitations at the field level, otherwise these parties should be kept at bay.   His turnaround on TDP is considered to be very significant as the TRS has softens its tone against TDP, ever since it takes pro Telangana stand in the all party meeting. His statement indicates that sooner or later TRS is planning to push the TDP and the other two from the region in wake of upcoming elections.

Shankarao’s victims’ outcry

  Former minister Shankarao, who was picked-up by the police in connection with Green fields land scam and forgery documents cases in the last month but was released immediately due to his ill health, is extremely happy to see the unprecedented support from the backward classes’ organizations and his Congress party, with which he was able to divert the people attention from his cases. Though the police did their duties following the court orders, they were blamed for his arrest and were put under disciplinary scanner for rough handling the former minister, as alleged by him. However, the cast-card played by him and the organizations leaves his victims despair as the government itself comes in his support, whom they alleges of threatening and cheating.   Green fields flat owners association president Dr.Chandrashekar, vice president O.Prakash, members Jnaneshwar and Jayasri speaking at a press conference have said, if the government is unable to justify their case, then they should be provided plots in any other state in the country, so as they can live peacefully for rest of their lives. They said the government has turned blind eye on them succumbed to casty pressures. They said hundreds of poor people, retired employees including backward classes were living in the Green fields housing society, but betrayed of their legal rights due to the government’s attitude.   They flay Shankarao for playing games with their lives using the cast card. If, his daughter Sushmita is confident of her father’s innocence in this issue, they ask then why didn’t she demand for CBI inquiry into the case also, where as she insisting for it for inquiring into her father’s arrest only. They said the ministers, politicians and the backward classes’ organizations should see the other side of Shankarao before blindly supporting him.

BJP ready to support no-trust movie

  BJP state president Kishan Reddy has said that if any party serves no-trust move against Kiran Kumar government, his party is ready to support it. He said the government has fall into minority with the expulsion of 9 MLAs from the party. Yet, Kiran Kumar Reddy did not dissolve his government until now. Hence, if any party comes forward to put no-trust motion against Congress government, BJP will support them.   Although, TRS, YSRCP and BJP is talking about no-trust motion against the government, none of them takes initiative on it, instead entrust this task with TDP, which also demands the other parties for the same. Adding spice to meat, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy also demands the opposition parties to put no-trust motion against his government if they can.

Kirans 500 cr bait to net SC netas

        In a bid to win back the Scheduled Caste leaders who are leaving the Congress fold and joining hands with Jaganmohan Reddys YSR Congress,chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has discreetly sanctioned a whopping Rs 500 crore to be spent under the newly-enacted SC/ST sub-plan.And to convey the message that he means business,the chief minister has directed the authorities to ensure that the entire amount is utilized for the welfare of SC/STs within 20 days. The release of Rs 500 crore under the SC/ST subplan was cleared by the cabinet sub-committee on Friday and the finance department has been asked to release the funds on a priority basis.The release of funds is to take place during Kiran Kumar Reddys pet programme Praja Patham to be held between February 15 and March 5. According to sources,since the works have to be sanctioned on a priority basis,it will be awarded to contractors on a nomination basis.The works,related to drinking water, sanitation, electricity, housing, Anganwadi,women and child nutrition,repair of residential hostels and general improvement of existing structures,will be taken up in the assembly constituencies where the SC,ST population is around 40% of the total population. The CMs aides claimed that the SC leaders who left the party anticipating a bright political future elsewhere would be lured with these works.We are looking at repeating the success achieved in the agriculture cooperative socities elections.If the funds released under the SC/ST sub-plan are used strategically,the return of SC leaders to the Congress party is certain, said a CM-loyalist MLA. As of now MLAs from 9 districts where the Praja Patham is being organised are being asked to take up the works under the SC/ST sub-plan.As soon as the election code is lifted,the legislators in the remaining 14 districts will be given the funds, said a CMO official.

Babu frustrated with in-fights

  It seems Chandrababu Naidu’s efforts to revamp the party with his padayatra yields no fruitful results as he is forced witness the in-fights between his party leaders in the two districts. While, he has seen the group wars between Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Kesineni Nani during his padayatra in Krishna district, again the same story repeats at Guntur district also.   Here it is a fight between former minister Kodela Shiva Prasad rao and Prattipati Pullarao groups. Both have complained against each other to their party president Chandrababu Naidu. His mediation fails and both have tried to gain upper hand over the other during his padayatra in the district.   Kodela Shiva Prasada rao got angry when Chandrababu has launched the padayatra songs CD prepared by Prattipati Pullarao group. Therefore, he left the in the middle of the padayatra annoying Chandrababu.  However, he returned back only after Chandrababu ahs assured of giving full charge of the district party affairs.   Obviously, it irks his rival Prathap Reddy and his followers. If they couldn’t bear with Kodela group, then the only option left for them is to quit the party and look towards the alternative YSRCP.

Swami Goud asked to step down

  T-NGOs mutually aided co-operative housing society members have asked Swami Goud to step down from his director post of the society, because of his involvement in hosing land scam. The members have reminded him that the high court has already responded against his case, hence they ask him to step down immediately.   Former president of the society Rajamallayya speaking to media has said Swami Goud is not even eligible for contesting the MLC elections, as he is the prime accused in the society housing scam. He suggested him step down immediately before the members remove him from his post.
