Jagan walks out, 8 YCP MLAs suspended

  Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Dr. Kodela Shivaprasada Rao has suspended 8 MLAs of the YSR Congress party for 3 days from the house for disrupting the house proceedings. They are Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Kodali Nani, Sridhar Reddy, Srikanth Reddy, Ramakrishna Reddy, Mutyala Reddy, Jaggi Reddy and Chand Pasha.   They have rushed to the Speaker’s podium, after he cuts the mike when their leader Jagan Mohan Reddy was speaking about Crop loans and Dwakra loans in the house. Speaker asked him to conclude his speech in the given 10 minutes, but when he is continuing his speech even after ten minutes, Speaker cuts his mike. It led to heated arguments between him and the YSRCP MLAs. Speaker Kodela has adjourned the house for 10 minutes. Later, he suspended the 8 MLAs who are disrupting the house proceedings. Then their leader Jagan Mohan Reddy also walked out of the house protesting his decision.   Kodali Nani said they speak nothing wrong against the Speaker except shouting ‘down down’ slogans against him in protest. He asked why the Speaker is not allowing them to speak in the house and why is he letting the TDP MLAs speak freely whenever they wants. Agriculture Minister Prattipati Pulla Rao replied that if the opposition party members are using abusive language they can’t be allowed to do so.

Three Mega Convention Centers to be set up in the AP

  Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh government has declared that it will set up three mega convention centers one each at Vizag, Vijayawada and Tirupati with a seating capacity of 8-10 thousands. These convention centers will have a five star hotel, exhibition halls, shopping complex-cum-multiplex and many other facilities. These three convention centers will be built under design, finance, build, operate and transfer basis. State government will invest in form of lands for these centers.   The Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (Incap), the nodal agency of AP government has received “expression of interests” (EoI) from 19 companies including one from Malaysia. This is underlining a point that the AP State is still remains a favorite destination to the investors despite its odd situation. The works will be allotted in a competitive bidding route, said Ajay Jain, secretary of energy and infrastructure departments. He said “We have also invited EoIs for developing Bhavanapadu seaport in Srikakulam district and also for setting up of international schools in Visakhapatnam, Nellore and Tirupati.

Sri Lanka defeated, Sangakkara, Jayavardhane retires

  Sri Lanka’s star players Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene have declared their retirement today. Sangakkara declares he is retiring from One Day International matches and Jayawardeneis retiring from international cricket matches. They have made this announcement after their team was defeated by south Africa at Sydney today.   Kumar Sangakkara has played total 404 ODIs. He scored total 14, 234 runs in his career including 25 centuries and 93 half-centuries in his career. His highest score is 169 runs and average score is 41.98 runs.   Mahela Jayawardene has played 448 ODIs. He scored total 12, 650 runs including 19 centuries and 77 half-centuries in his career. People of Sri Lanka are very upset to see their team failure at this stage and their star cricketers’ retirement on the same day today.   Sachin Tendulkar reacting on their retirement said, “It is very difficult to image Sri Lankan team without them. They not only represented their country in the cricket world, but also proved their mettle. I am feeling very sad to miss them.”

Is this what the ugly scene YCP owes to create?

  Ugly scenes were created in the AP State Assembly today, when the ruling and opposition members began arguments on the Pattiseema and Polavaram Projects. Their arguments on the subject gradually drifted to some unnecessary and silly points which led to ugly fights.   Jagan Mohan Reddy has been strongly arguing that Pattiseema project is a mere waste of money and may turn hurdle for Polavaram project. He alleges that the ruling TDP government has taken up this project only to benefit the contractors. He objects the G.O. issued by the state government that has no mention about Rayalaseema. So far, he has been raising objections on the Pattiseema Project, but today he plainly asked the state government to scrap the project immediately.   Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao replying to him said “While you (Jagan Mohan Reddy) could see only commissions and percentages in this project, we (state government) is seeing drinking and irrigation water supply to the needy people in the Rayalaseema districts. Later, the arguments between members of both parties have led to an ugly fight and it reaches its flash point in no time. Speaker has to adjourn the house for few minutes to bring the house into control. There is nothing worth mentioning about their cat fights.   Earlier, when the business advisory committee has met to finalize the schedule of the Assembly sessions, YSR Congress leaders reportedly threaten the speaker that they will create ugly scenes in the house, if he doesn’t allow their agenda in the house. If seen the scene created today by them in the house, one may agree it is the scene what they have talked about. But, YSR members alone can’t be blames because it is not possible to make claps with one hand. Ruling and opposition parties’ members should think whether this is way they run the house.

Samsung Manufacturing unit in AP?

  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is trying to woo two mobile companies simultaneously. Soon after Samsung Company of South Korea has announced its intention to set up its 3rd manufacturing unit in India, he is trying to attract the company to the AP state. However, he is facing stiff competition from Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. Few more states may also join this competition.   Samsung Mobile Company is currently providing direct and indirect employment to around 45,000 people in India. The Samsung Company has manufacturing units at Noida in UP and another at Sriperumpudur in Tamil Nadu. If, its third plant is also opened soon, he number may grow and whichever state gets the Company will get direct employment opportunities.    He is simultaneously negotiating with the China-based mobile company also, which is also keen to set up its first ever mobile manufacturing unit in India. It is a leading mobile phones manufacturer in the world. It has strategic partnership with the customers in South Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe, etc.   This company also can provide direct and indirect employment to at least 10,000 people once it starts its production and marketing activities in the country. Apart from these two mobile giants, Chandrababu Naidu is also trying to woo the Indian Companies that are keen to set up their shop in the AP state.   Chandrababu Naidu has talked with the representatives of Chinese Mobile Company and also with the Indian Cellular Association head Pankaj Mahindroo at Hyderabad on Tuesday. He is trying to pursue them to set up their manufacturing plants in the Rayalaseema region, which is earmarked as a backward district and eligible for getting attractive industrial and tax subsidies granted by the central government. Besides, the ‘Make in India’ program launched by the Modi government few months ago will provide additional offers to the companies.        

Her efforts are for Congress or for the AP State?

  The Congress party seems has suddenly developed interest on the Andhra Pradesh state and its people, which once has rudely behaved with them. The reason for their sudden interest is not a secret. It wants to win the hearts of the people and thus retain its lost glory in the state. Hence, they are stressing the Modi government to grant financial package, special status, railway zone, Polavaram Project etc. The Congress leaders might have believed that this is the only door left open for them to re-enter into the AP State.   Whether, it is possible for it to win back the people or not, if it is planning to revamp its position in the state with this option, then what about the BJP that is implementing the promises made by the UPA government and in the AP Reorganization Bill? Will it allow the Congress party to claim this credit also the way it claims the credit of carving Telangana state earlier? However, Sonia Gandhi has faced some embarrassing moments in the Loksabha when the members of the house, who participated in the discussion of amending the AP Reorganization Bill-2014 have plainly blamed her and her UPA government for constituting such a bill that need many amendments to rectify the mistakes in it.

Shabbir Ali discloses that letter?

  Congress MLC Shabbir Ali has disclosed a copy of a letter submitted to Sri Krishna Committee that was given by TRS president KCR. It is a consent letter for merging the seven mandals of Khammam district with the AP State that submerges under Polavaram Project. Shabbir Ali told the media that if the UPA government has followed his suggestion and implemented the same in the bifurcation bill, then Bhadrachalam Temple also would have gone to the AP state.”   He added, “Earlier, CM KCR used to assure the opposition parties that he will take an all-party delegation to New Delhi to give representation to the central government over this issue, but he didn’t, because of this letter only. Later, whenever we remind him he used to say past is past. He lied several times during Telangana agitation period and is lying even after becomes Chief Minister of the state. I know that he can’t speak truth ever.”   If, the letter disclosed by Shabbir Ali is genuine, then KCR might have fooled the people of his state by giving a bandh call in protest when Modi government issued an ordinance for merging the seven mandals of Khammam district with the AP State in the last year. Interestingly, even today TRS MP Vinod Kumar, while speaking in the Loksabha has flayed the Modi government for issuing an ordinance for it. If, so what about the consent their letter given to Sri Krishna Committee?

It is a Tailor Made Budget for Corporates: Kavita

  TRS MP from Nizamabad Kavita has stated that budget presented by the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is a tailor made budget for corporate companies and the rich business houses.   Taking part in the budget discussion in Loksabha yesterday she said “The poor and middle class people are not in the budget frame. They were completely ignored by the NDA government, whereas they have pinned all their hopes on this budget. NDA government’s tall claims about increasing 10 per cent tax share to the states is also can’t be justified, because it is giving money to the states with one hand and taking more than what it gives with the other hand."   "Earlier, when it was 32 per cent share, states used to get Rs. 3, 82, 216 crores under plan transfer. Now the states will get Rs. 5, 23, 958 crores with 10 per cent increase in the tax share. But, the central government proportionately reduced the funds allocations to several welfare schemes and the states have to carry that additional burden. We have estimated there would around Rs.777 crores loss due to our state with its idea.”   Kavita also appeals the central government to set up one of its five ultra-mega power projects proposed in the budget to the Telangana state which is facing severe power crisis. She appeals the government to extend the industrial tax subsidies from present five years to ten years and to IT and related industries also. She suggested the central government not to sell its shares from the public limited companies, especially from the profit earning companies to reduce its revenue deficit.

Jagan let his MLAs disrupt the house proceedings...but why?

  If any political party is really wants a serious discussion on any specific issue either in the Assembly or in the Parliament it submit a request for the same in a written format to the Speaker of the house appealing him or her to add it in the agenda. Even if it is not added in the agenda of the house proceedings due to any reasons, the speaker has discretional powers to allow the ruling or opposition parties to debate on that subject or issue in the house with a formal verbal request by the concerned party member.   The YSR Congress party also appeals Speaker Dr. Kodela to allow it to speak about linking the rivers and he agrees for it. But, Jagan not only wants him to add it in the agenda but also demands the Speaker to allot two and half hours’ time to speak on that subject. Obviously, the Speaker has refused his request as there are several other members’ wants to speak on many other issues in the house. But, Jagan Mohan Reddy was seen arguing with him over this ‘time allotment’ than focusing on the actual subject.   His party MLAs in the house also rushed to the podium and start shouting, even though the finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and irrigation minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao are expressing their readiness to answer all his questions on this particular issue.   Labour minister Achchem Naidu asked him, if he really wants the house to discuss on this issue then why he is letting his party MLAs disrupt the house proceedings instead of starting the discussion, when the Speaker and the concerned ministers are ready to answer his questions. Jagan Mohan Reddy intention seems to be troubling the ruling TDP in the house with silly reasons but not discussing on that issue.

Has Jagan gives second life for Pilli Subash?

  Pilli Subash Chandra Bose is one of those few loyal leaders of the YSR Congress party and it’s President Jagan Mohan Reddy, who never minds for being setting aside by the party leadership. Actually, he led the Congress MLAs loyal to late YS Rajashekar Reddy into the YSR Congress party. There was a time when he used to play key role in the party in Jagan’s absence. But, gradually he was sidelined and some others were brought forward into his place.   However, he never revolts or even seems minds about it. There are many others like Dadi Veerabhadra rao, Konda Surekha, who have faced similar situation and bid good bye to the party blaming Jagan Mohan Reddy like anything. If, Jagan would have realized the large difference between him and them, he wouldn’t ignore a trusted leader like Pilli Subash for so long, but ignored. Finally, Jagan allots MLC ticket to him. But, his honesty can be seen in his reaction also. Pilli speaking to the media in his as usual polite manner said that Jagan has given him second life.   Many leaders have lost their own political identity after joining the YSRCP because they were not given any importance and or allowed to talk. They become voiceless in the party. Pilli Subash is also one among them. Yet, he believes that Jagan so kind in allotting MLC ticket to him. After filing his nomination papers today, Pilli Subash has stated that he will fight with the state government in the Council on behalf of the people as a true representative of the YSR Congress party.

Delhi Police enquiry about Rahul Gandhi irks Congress

  The BJP and the Congress parties got another good reason to cross swords. The Delhi police went to Congress party vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s residence and reportedly asked his staff some peculiar questions like what is the color of his eyes, what the color of his hair is etc. and it exactly hits the target.   Since, the media and the political circles are making fun about Rahul Gandhi taking leave from politics during the crucial period of budget sessions for no good reason, the Delhi Police enquiry about his hair and eyes color irks the Congress party. It spits fire on the Delhi police and the BJP government for snooping into VVIP’s personal life, who is having a ‘Z’ plus security cover.   “This is Gujarat's model, not India's model... We are not a police state, this is political espionage,” Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said. He further added, “We demand a explanation by no less than the Home Minister and the Prime Minister. We will raise this issue in the Parliament.”   Senior Congress leader PC Chacko says that the BJP is playing very cheap tricks to defame his party vice-president.   Delhi Police Commissioner BC Bassi has strongly objected the Congress party’s allegations of snooping into Rahul Gandhi’s personal life. He said “Our police officers didn't go there with malafide motive. It was a routine activity. Policemen left proforma with staff at Rahul Gandhi's house. Later they have also visited several ruling and opposition leaders’ houses including BJP senior leader LK Advani, Congress leader Veerappa Moily and the Telangana Chief Minister KCR for the same purpose. He said this is a regular practice conducted every year and the Congress party is also well aware about it. The   BJP replying to the Congress allegations, says it is trying to politicize this issue because it has no other issues in hand to talk about.

Mahatma Gandhi Statue unveiled at Britain Parliament Square

  While people like former judge of Supreme Court Markandeya Katju strongly believes that Mahatma Gandhi’s role in the freedom fight doesn’t deserve any appreciation and his ‘Satyagraha’ is a meaningless, the British government which was forced to quit India because of Mahatma Gandhi’s freedom struggle, honored him by installing his bronze statue at parliament square in London. His statue was installed adjacent to iconic leaders like Winston Churchill and Nelson Mandela.   This is first time that British government has installed a statute of any Indian leader. British Prime Minister David Cameron and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley unveiled the statue in the presence of his ministers and parliament members., Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, Mahatma Gandhi's grandson Gopalkrishna Gandhi and many prominent persons from Indian origin in London have attended this function.   "This statue is a magnificent tribute to one of the most towering figures in the history of world politics and by putting Mahatma Gandhi in this famous Square we are giving him an eternal home in our country. This statue celebrates the incredibly special friendship between the world's oldest democracy and its largest, as well as the universal power of Gandhi's message,” said Cameron.   This is revealing that entire world including the British government has recognized Mahatma Gandhi as a great leader and acknowledging his peaceful freedom fight. But unfortunately, people like Markandeya Katju have very poor opinion about the great leaders, who sacrificed their lives for the country.

Talasani challenge to CBN and Pawan

  Very few politicians like Talasani Srinivas Yadav can enjoy dual membership in ruling and opposition parties simultaneously. He quits TDP and his MLA post and becomes minister in TRS government. But, his resignation was not approved by the Speaker until now. He is also not stressing the speaker for it, because if approved he has to re-elect to either of the houses within six months. So, he is still continuing as TDP MLA. Hence, he can be treated as TDP MLA working for the TRS government.  For the first time responding to the TDP leaders’ criticism “I have resigned to MLA post long ago. So, it is up to Speaker to decide when to accept it. I have nothing to do with it. Even right now, I am ready to contest bye-elections, if he accepts my resignation. I will not contest in the MLC elections. I will contest from my Sanat Nagar Assembly constituency because I am quite sure to win, if contests elections from there. Let Pawan Kalyan or Chandrababu Naidu contest from there, I only will win. Whoever, is prepared to face me in the elections let them come be prepared to take political retirement after getting defeated in my hands,” said Talasani Yadav.  

Time to learn lessons from Hyd. Metro Rail Project?

  According to latest reports Rs. 3000 crores are required to complete the Hyderabad Metro rail Project, whereas Telangana government has allocated only Rs.400 crores for it in its latest budget for the current year. Actually, the total cost of the project is estimated as Rs.14, 000 crores but it escalates to 17, 000 crores after CM KCR proposed three major changes in the project route. The realignment of the project costs Rs.3000 crores and the L&T Company is said to be submitted its estimation to the state government as CM KCR has agreed to carry that excess burden. If so, more funds need to be dumped into this project for completion.   L&T Company is reportedly told the government that it is not in a position to invest anymore funds on this project as it already has pumped huge funds into it, but it couldn’t get any returns from it until now. The state government’s decision not to run the metro services in the completed zones of the project is stopping the Company to generate any revenue out of the project, otherwise it would manages to run the show till the government releases sufficient funds.   Hence, it is deliberately looking for the funds release from the government. Hence, the AP government should learn lessons from all these developments taking place in this project and plan accordingly to ensure smooth completion of its two proposed metro projects at Vizag and Vijayawada.

Where is Pawan Kalyan disappeared?

  Pawan Kalyan, who jumped into politics just before the general elections, has shelved his Janasena party with his very second meeting. His fans are very much disappointed and he becomes laughing stock in the political circles. But, his decision to support the TDP-BJP alliance proved to be a wise and it made the people ignore his failure to decision of shelving his party.   He came to people only once, when Hudhud cyclone badly hits the north coastal districts of AP. Later, he was never seen. Again, he jumps into action and draws swords on the ruling TDP government over its land acquisition, but in no time he lost interest on that particular subject and so again disappeared from the scene. But, before disappearing, he declares that he will come to continue the next episode of his political action by taking part in the upcoming GHMC elections. But, he never spares time to build his party until now.   He claims that he came into politics to question the governments on behalf of the people, but he never did. Even if did in Thullur, he doesn’t kept his promise. When he couldn’t take any firm decision and unable to stick to it then how can the people trust him? His brother Chiranjeevi is also good actor like him and having huge fan following in the state. But, he too fails in the politics and returning to film industry now. More or less, Pawan Kalyan is also reminding his brother.

Modi congratulates Sri Lanka for eliminating LTTE!

  Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently visiting Sri Lanka, speaks in the parliament today. He reminds the members of the house that India and Sri Lanka have relationship ever since Ramayana period. So, the relations should be preserved and both countries should put efforts for it. He said India always wants good and strong relations with Sri Lanka. He reminds the members that he welcomed all the leaders of south Asian countries for his swearing in ceremony to highlight the point that his government wants to strengthen relations with them. He proposed the Sri Lanka government to come forward for strengthening bilateral and economic relations with India. He congratulates the country for eliminating terrorism from the country.   His proposals for strengthening bilateral and economic relations between two countries should be welcomed. But, can the people of Tamilnadu or any human rights activists welcome his statement congratulating Sri Lanka government for eliminating terrorism from the country, in which thousands of innocent children, women and elderly people brutally killed by the Sri Lankan army? Probably, political parties of Tamilnadu may sharply react to his statement very soon.

BJP leaders’ advice to AP and TS Chief Ministers

  The BJP leaders in the AP and Telangana states, who fails to campaign about various projects, schemes and funds for them granted to the states by their NDA government during last nine months, are blaming the state governments for not approaching the Center through proper channels for funds and projects.   Earlier, BJP MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju has blamed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and now Muralidhar Rao is blaming Telangana Chief Minister KCR. He said CM KCR should submit proposals to the Center and keep negotiating with it instead of giving meaningless speeches. Then only the Center will release funds and grant projects to the state, he said. But, the BJP leaders are also aware that the Chief Ministers of both states have been shuttling between Hyderabad and New Delhi for the last nine months for the same purpose, but the Center has not granted any huge funds to either of the states till now. It has agreed to release funds to the AP state only after Chandrababu Naidu, his MPs, Ministers, opposition parties and the people voice their concerns about the Center’s negligence shown towards the state.   So, the BJP leaders of both states should try to pursue their Modi government for sufficient funds release to both states, instead of advising the Chief Ministers to do their part. They should remember that they also have equal responsibility for the state development and hence should pursue their high command to grant funds to both states. When they too have big dreams to emerge as alternate political power in both states, then they also should put some efforts to win the hearts of the people by brining funds and projects to both states.

Dr. Rajaiah’s close aide arrested by ACB

  Earlier, during in the last month, Telangana Chief Minister KCR has expelled his deputy Dr. Rajaiah from his cabinet for his alleged involvement in ambulances scam. The scam takes places when he was also holding medical and health portfolio. Then Rajaiah has made hue and cry but later switched off.   Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths have conducted raids on the four houses of his close associate P Sambasiva Rao, who is serving as the Warangal district medical and health officer (DM&HO) on Thursday and taken him into custody after confirming that he is possessing disproportionate assets. They have seized valuable moveable and immovable properties from P Sambasiva Rao, during their simultaneous raids on his houses in Warangal and Hanamkonda on Thursday.   The ACB officials have found he has four houses in Warangal and Hanmakonda, a flat in Uppal, Hyderabad, five plots in Hyderabad and Warangal and 4.3 acres of agricultural land in Warangal district. He is the main stake holder in the Kartikeyan Institute of Management Sciences at Arepally in Warangal district. The officials also found he has two cars Innova and Santro. They also found he mortgaged 1.3 kgs of gold in different banks. All his properties found by the ACB officials’ runs into several crores.   ACB officials have taken him into custody and produced him before the court. If, Sambhasiva Rao reveals about his connections with the former deputy Chief Minister Dr.Rajaiah and about the corruption taken place during his short period of 8 months term, then Rajaiah also may land in problems.
