Modi is a great operator: Kejriwal

Aam Admi party leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal speaking to media at New Delhi today said “I have learnt lots of lessons from my experince in the politics. I regret for my resignation and assure that will not repeat such mistakes again. I also promise that I will never stage political-dharnas again. I understand that people are very much disappointed with my decision of quitting my CM Post. If my party is reelected to power in the next elections, we will concentrate on the development of Delhi.”   Later speaking about BJP’s recent victory in Maharashtra and Haryana states, “I agree that Modi influence did miracles for his party victory. He ensured his party win in both states. He is a great operator, but he can’t rule the state on his own. So are Fadnavis and Manohar Kattar become Chief Ministers of Maharashtra and Haryana states simultaneously. BJP has won in both states because there is no alternative for it there, but here in Delhi Aam Admi party is there as an alternative to it. So, I hope people will definitely give us another chance to prove our mettle.”   Arvind Kejriwal said that he learnt many lessons from his experiences. But, he seems has not learnt enough even till now. He admits that he did a big mistake by quitting his CM Post, though his government enjoys Congress support. He also admits that Modi influence is very effective on the people and he is a great operator. When he is admitting his failures and acknowledging Modi is better than him in all means, then how can he expect people of Delhi vote for him and his party.

TRS prepares for a big fight with opposition parties

For the first time after Telangana state is emerged as the 29th state in India, Telangana government is presenting its first budget today. Finance Minister Etela Rajendar said it is a tailor-made-budget intended for an all-round development of the state. He said it makes him feel very happy to present the budget where Telangana state was insulted by the Andhra rulers. He asked the opposition parties to co-operate with him for presenting the budget and they can discuss it on Friday.   However, CM KCR seems is well prepared to face the opposition parties’ severe criticism against his government. He signs a MoU with Chhattisgarh government for 1000mw power supply and also appeals for additional 1000mw supply, for which CM Dr. Raman Singh positively responded. So, KCR armed with this fresh deal may try to defend his government from opposition parties’ attacks.   But, BJP MLAs are reported to be arriving to Assembly carrying kerosene lanterns in their hands, hinting a serious fight with ruling TRS government. Congress and TDP are also having their own weapons to corner TRS government.   TDP MLA Revanth Reddy said “Government is sitting cool while farmers are committing suicides due to lack of water supply to their crops. We will fight with government on their behalf.” So, TDP may mainly concentrate on this issue to attack TRS government.   However, once again CM KCR has pulled out his ‘Telangana cards’ to counter TDP attacks. He asked the people not to fall into the trap of political slaves of Andhra rulers.

My statement was misinterpreted: Kishore Babu

AP Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu’s statement on continuing TDP-BJP alliance creates havoc in the party. Taking serious exception to his statement, Minister Kamineni Srinivas (BJP) brings the matter to CM Chandrababu Naidu’s notice and he warned Kishore Babu to refrain from making comments on such sensitive issues that damage the relations between two parties.   Actually, Kishore Babu stated so against BJP because it is admitting TDP’s political rival Kanna Lakshmi Narayana into party. If there is no alliance between two parties, then he may not mind about this development, but believes not fair when working together. He explained the same to CM Chandrababu Naidu. He argued media misinterpreted his statement, but Chandrababu Naidu was not convinced as his statement has sent a wrong message to BJP.   Later, minister Kamineni Srinivas speaking to media said “TDP-BJP alliance will continue as usually. Such decisions can be taken by party high commands and not by Kishore Babu or some other ministers.”   However, it is to be noted that BJP state president Kambampati Hari Babu is also sending strong signals to TDP government from the very beginning that his party will put efforts to emerge as alternative political power in the state. Now and then he is aiming his guns on AP government and it’s Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for various reasons, but Chandrababu has been ignoring his criticism keeping in view of party relation with BJP. He is very much aware that Centre’s assistance is badly needed for the development of the state. So, is he asked his minister Kishore Babu to refrain from such statements.

Polarization of seniors will have any effect on TDP?

These days BJP become hot favorite for all those political leaders who are looking for a new abode in AP. It begins with Congress leaders D Purandeswari and Kavuri and is still continuing with latest addition of Kanna Lakshmi Narayana. If sources are to be believed, many senior Congress leaders may take plunge into BJP in the next five years as the Congress future is blinking both at state and central level.   Konathala Rama Krishna, who recently came out of YSR Congress party, is also likely to board BJP ship. But, it is interesting to see these senior leaders are getting attracted to BJP that is not in power in the state, instead of ruling TDP. Perhaps, someone from Congress, who joins it first, may be encouraging his colleagues to check-in to BJP assuring a bright future.   Although, there is no immediate threat to ruling TDP, Congress and YSR Congress parties, the polarization of senior leaders may adversely affect them in long term. Perhaps, BJP is also have some long term plan for AP. Its state president Kambampati Hari Babu said, “There is a political vacuum in the state and our party will fill it up. But, it doesn’t mean we are taking upon TDP.” He further added “It is too early to talk about having poll alliance with TDP for 2019 elections.”   His statement is plainly reflecting the big ambitions of BJP president Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who wants to spread their party wings on all over the country. Whether their efforts would yield fruitful results or not, the polarization of senior leaders may definitely imbalance the political strengths in the state, only if BJP could manage to keep them all glued to party for next five years. If it can manage them, then it is ruling TDP that should think over about this changing political scenario as it can't allow a change of guard in the state in the next elections.

Can BJP become major player in AP?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah have made it clear that they want to spread their party wings to all over the country, particularly to southern India. Although, they have alliance with TDP in AP and Telangana states, its presidents Kambampati Hari Babu and Kishan Reddy are dreaming to make their party emerge as alternative to the regional players like TDP, TRS and YSR Congress parties. Comparatively BJP is a little bit strong in Telangana, but it couldn’t overpower the regional TRS party in the general elections, even though it joins hands with TDP.   However, it is benefitted in AP as its alliance group has comes into power. But, BJP state president K Hari Babu believes still there is a political vacuum in the state. He is quite confident to fill that gap. He said “While our alliance with TDP continues as usual, we will try to strengthen our party base in the state to emerge as alternative source to the rest. It is too early to speak on whether our alliance with TDP will continue in 2019 general elections or not.”   If, BJP also wants to emerge as major player in the state, then what about Congress and YSR Congress parties? Congress party has ruled the state for last ten years but lost the elections due known reasons. But, one can’t underestimate its power as it has seen many ups and downs in its history and there are many stalwarts in the party, who have a good following in the people. Although, YSR Congress party fails to win the elections, it fared very well in its first attempt.   If, CBI court spares its president Jagan Mohan Reddy from his illegal assets cases, definitely he will challenge both ruling TDP and Congress party in the 2019 elections. These three big players have a strong cadre and good following among the people, whereas BJP presence hardly felt in the state till recent past. So, it can’t simply dream to emerge as alternative to these three players, merely because a handful of leaders from other parties have joined it.   Hari Babu may be relying on Modi’s influence and popularity, but it is not enough to make his party as front runner in 2019 general elections. It may take at least one or two decades to BJP to dream such fantasies in the state, that too only if all its leaders put sincere efforts.

Media should respect Vadra’s privacy: Cong.

Congress party distanced from Robert Vadra’s spat with reporter that takes place at Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi two days back. But, as if asked by the party president Sonia Gandhi, Congress leaders have to come to his defense. Digvijay tweeted “If he violates any law bring him to book. If he has ill-gotten money recover it but do not hound him. Media should respect his privacy.” Some other leaders of the party also argue that he is a private person and so media should respect his privacy.   According to CAG report submitted to Bhupindra Hooda, the former CM of Haryana state, he simply pockets Rs.41.5 crore in a land deal with DHL, which actually should be handed over to Haryana government. But, Hooda has ignoring the CAG report lets him pocket the money, because he is son-in-law of his party president Sonia Gandhi. He shunted his honest IAS officer Ashok Khimka to some unimportant position for ordering an inquiry into Vadra’s illegal land deal. When, Vadra enjoys all the privileges of being related to Sonia Gandhi family, then how can he be treated as private person anyway?   BJP government led by its CM Manohar Lal Katthar is planning to order an inquiry into his illegal land deal. The spat takes place when the ANI reporter tried to seek Vadra’s reaction on Khattar government’s decision. Actually, if Robert Vadra thinks that he is not guilty in this case, he would have answered instead of losing his temper. However, one should agree that it is not appropriate time or location to shoot questions at him.
