Modi is a strong and matured politician: Pak Journalist

It was great news when Indian and Pakistan Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Nawaz Sharif shake hands and exchanged gifts six months ago. Even today, their shake hand and exchanging pleasantries at SAARC meetings draws good attention of entire world media, but in wake of their strained relations. Though, Modi shakes hands and spoke with Nawaz for a while, it is just a formality and nothing else. Actually, Pakistan is willing to revive talks with India, but Modi is averse for it, because Pakistan is still continuing its double game with India.   When, both Prime Ministers are shaking hands at SAARC meeting, Pakistan based terrorists are attacking on the Indian Boarder Security personal and civilians in the backyard at Jammu & Kashmir boarders. Two Indian soldiers and three civilians are reported to be killed in their attacks. Indian troops have to conduct a special operation to clear the terrorists hiding in their bunkers. Border security officials are very much worried with the timing of terrorists’ attacks, in wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Poonch sector in the state for elections campaigning. So, Pakistan can’t blame Narendra Modi for not showing any interest to speak to its Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the SAARC meetings or can expect Indian government revive talks with it.   It would expect such second thoughts if there is Congress government at New Delhi but not when Modi is ruling the country. Pakistani reports who have opportunity to shoot few questions to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, agreed that he is a strong and mature politician.   A Pakistan journalist during a chit chat with ANI journalist said, “Modi is a very strong personality. India is blessed and lucky to have a leader like him. However, he must use his strength for the improvement of the ties between Pakistan and India and sort out the problems between the two countries."

T-Government approves new Industrial Policy

Telangana CM KCR, who has been promising to present the best industrial policy ever has kept his promise. His government has presented its industrial policy today in the state Assembly. It’s motto is: ‘Research to Innovation; Innovation to Industry; Industry to Prosperity.’   Zero tolerance to corruption and zero graft will be ensured at each and every step of industrial development process. Concerned department heads will be made accountable any corruption or delays in clearing the files. It targets a growth rate of 4-5 percent greater than the national growth rate.   The government has created Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH) to encourage the entrepreneurs to invest, research, invent and market their products. RICH would provide Rs.100 crores and entrepreneurs also have to contribute equal amount for this purpose.   As if taken inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM KCR also owed to scrap the outdated laws that were creating hurdles in rapid industrial development. CM KCR also owes to modify the existing tax structure to prevent evasion of taxes and additional burden on the entrepreneurs.   Small and medium scale industries will get exemption from paying stamp duties, rebate on land cost, land conversion, power tariff etc. Mega Project status will be given to those industries that invest Rs.200 crores and employ 1000 people. They will be given tailor made incentives etc. under Telangana State Industrial Development and Entrepreneur Advancement (T-IDEA) incentive scheme.   An online help desk grievance redressal system will be set-up to ensure timely help to entrepreneurs and to lodge any complaints about corrupt practices.   Bulk drugs and formulations, IT hardware, precision engineering, food processing, automobiles, textiles and apparel, plastics, gems and jewellery industries are specifically ear marked for special attention by the state government.   Telangana state Assembly also passed another bill: the Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self-certification System (TS-iPASS) that would be a "single window without grills" for clearing all investment proposals.

Ponnala case is a drop in the ocean

Telangana Assembly was rocked yesterday over the land encroachment issue of T-PCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah. Congress MLAs have tried to defend him but they were overpowered by TRS as it gets the support of TDP and BJP.   Speaker Madhusudhanachary, following the recommendations of CM KCR has decided to form a committee to inquire all the assigned land encroachments including Ponnala’s. TRS Chief KCR has been blaming Ponnala Lakshmaiah on this issue ever since he takes upon him during elections period. So, he got the chance to nab him with the committee now. Congress MLAs couldn’t stop TRS from forming the committee as they themselves have found many flaws in his case.   So, Ponnala can expect fresh troubles from ruling TRS and also from within his own party. Some T-Congress leaders have been demanding him to step down from his PCC President Chair. Some others are lobbying at their party high command to grab his chair. So, once the committee starts working on his land encroachment case, he may face the same problem again. No surprise, this time if the T-Congress leaders pull down him from his chair.   His case is also revealing a point that previous Congress governments are very liberal in handing over government lands to its ministers, individuals and the companies. It is absurd to argue that Ponnala is unaware whether it is assigned land or not. However, Ponnala’s may be a small case like a drop in the ocean that is limited to just 8 acres of land. But there are thousands of acres of land liberally allocated by previous Congress governments, especially during late YSR regime to the individuals and the companies.   Jagan Mohan Reddy’s quid–pro cases are fine examples of this liberty taken by the Congress governments. AP government is already reclaiming those lands from the companies and individuals. So, if Telangana government could reclaim all those illegally allotted lands it will help the government to overcome its financial crunch.

Who are trapped? Modi or Opposition parties?

Almost all the opposition parties have joined hands in the parliament today to fight against Modi government on the black money issue. Particularly, Congress and Trinamool Congress MPs have spit fire on Modi government for failing to bring back the black money to the country. They remind the government about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s repeated assurances during and after elections, but fails. Congress and Trinamool Congress parties have tried to corner Modi government in the both houses.   So, it is to be understood that opposition parties are forcing Modi government to bring back the black money from the foreign countries. Probably, this is what Narendra Modi is expecting from the opposition parties, especially from Congress party.   Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has once said that if he reveals the names of the black money account holders, first Congress party will have to feel ashamed, as some of its former union ministers’ names are topped the list. He said that his government will not hesitate to announce the list of the black money account holders. But, Modi government handed over that list in a sealed cover to the Supreme Court few weeks ago. So, Modi government need not to hesitate to initiate actions on those persons named in the list, because all political parties including Congress party is insisting for it.   Opposition parties, especially Congress party might be feeling very happy for able to corner Modi government in the parliament after a long time today, whereas they may regret later for walking into the trap laid by Modi. Now, no one can raise an eye brow if Modi government starts taking action on the black money account holders. Supreme Court is also willing to take action against the black money account holders. So, Modi government may jump for action any time on this issue.

Vizag likely to be the first smart city in the country

Centre and State keen to start smart city works in Vizag soon Chandrababu Naidu has promised the people of the city that he will ask the Centre to start works for converting Vizag into a smart city from now onwards. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also has announced that Vizag city will be converted into a smart city with the help of American Companies.   So, the proposals to convert Vizag city into a smart city is under consideration and both governments have started working on it. State and central governments are keen to implement their plans from now itself as lot of reconstruction activities are to be carried out in the Hudhud affected Vizag city.   Two Central teams are visiting Hudhud affected areas in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts today to assess the damage. One of the teams has inspected the Vizag airport and then moves to Fishing harbor to assess the damage. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visits the cyclone affected areas in these districts, has announced Rs.1000 crore as immediate relief fund. However, Centre has released only Rs.450 crores out of that amount. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has been pressurizing the Centre to release the balance amount at the earliest.   Once the central teams submit their reports to the Centre, then it may release the funds for reconstruction works of Hudhud affected areas and finalize plans to convert Vizag into a smart city. Japan, Singapore and America have come forward to convert Vizag into a smart city. Modi prefers American service for this purpose.

Chandrababu is pressurizing Centre: TRS MP

The sparks that triggered with the naming of Shamshabad domestic air terminal after late NTR have spread to New Delhi also. TRS MP Vinod Kumar has strongly objected central government’s decision in this regard.   Speaking in the Loksabha he said, “Central government should remember that Hyderabad is now part and parcel of Telangana state. So, it should consult the state government before taking any such decisions. But, it prefers to lend it ears to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. It has changed the domestic terminal name only because of his pressures. We are strongly condemning the Centre’s decision. Telangana state Assembly also has passed a resolution opposing the name change. So, I demand the central government to revoke its decision immediately.”   Although, Hyderabad belongs to Telangana state, TRS MP should remember it is a common capital for both states till next nine and half years. So, his claims on Hyderabad airport are not viable. Moreover, Centre has not changed the present name of Shamshabad airport. It gives NTR name to domestic terminal only, as early it was used to have the same name when the airport was operating from Begumpeta.   Next, Vinod’s alleges that Chandrababu Naidu pressurized the Centre for this purpose. If, he could pressurize the Centre, he would insisted it to release the funds promised to the state, obliges it to clear the pending projects to the state, would have got special status to the state long ago. But, nothing such things happened till now. So, it is absurd to say that Centre is succumbed to his pressures. It allows naming of the domestic terminal after late NTR only because it is justified. If, Chandrababu demands to name it after some other eminent person of AP state, definitely Centre would reject his appeal. So, it is not wise to create controversy on this issue.

Still I love him: Modi’s wife

People came to know about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s family life only after he mentions his wife Jasodaben’s name in his elections’ affidavit while filing his nomination forms from Vadodara in Gujarat. He married her when he was just 17 years, but don’t know what happens later, he deserted her within three years after their marriage, that is 48 years ago.   Ever since, they never met and never thought about second marriage. Even when Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat state, Jasodaben used to live in a small house in a small village. She retired as a school teacher few years ago and is leading a simple life all these years.   Although, Modi deserted her long ago, she has been praying and performing pujas in a local temple all these years for his good health. However, she never comes to media talking about her husband. But, for the first time she came into media focus when she files an RTI application to know why ten security guards are escorting her and what rights she has under protocol procedures for being PM’s wife.   She asked the government to provide her the copy of G.O. that is providing security cover to her. She is feeling quite insecure with the security guards escorting her carrying weapons in hands. She spoke to media briefly when she came to file her RTI application.   She said “I still love my husband and prays for his good health. I feel quite happy and honored when I came to know that he mentioned my name in the elections affidavit. I think he still cares for me. I will be quite happy, if he invites me into his life even today. I love to serve him all my life without any expectations.”   Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who won the hearts of crores of Indians across the country with his mesmerizing speeches and effective governance, should respect his wife’s feelings also. If he invites her into his life again, entire womenfolk in the country will feel quite happy and appreciate him.

AP Capital city foundation stone laying on March 21st?

AP government has made it clear that it has no second thoughts over the location of the capital. It is prepared to overcome the hurdles in land acquisition for the same. Government is expecting to complete this process before end of March next year. The latest buzz is that CM Chandrababu Naidu is reported to be planning to lay foundation stone on March 21st on the eve of Telugu New Year Ugadhi festival or on May 28th that is on the birth anniversary of party founder and former CM of the state late NTR.   Party senior leader Gadde Rammohan rao speaking to media said CM Chandrababu Naidu wants to start the construction activities as early as possible so as to complete major part of construction of the capital city before next general elections. CM Chandrababu Naidu is proposing a river facing capital on the banks of Krishna river at Thullur Mandal between Vijayawada and Guntur cities.   A Singapore based architecture company is proposing 44 storied tall buildings on both sides of the river that accommodates all the government offices. CM Chandrababu Naidu wants the capital city most modern but eco-friendly. So, he is also said to be planning develop a green belt along both sides of the river coast. However, first the state government has to overcome the hurdles in land acquisition process before thinking about anything. If, it could complete this process, it can start construction activities as and when it wishes to do.

Are TRS and Congress parties coming close again?

Congress party that has been crossing swords with ruling TRS party in the house till last few days has suddenly cooled down. Except, Mallu Batti Vikramarka, none of its members are speaking against TRS government in the house. They turn very soft with TRS, even when TRS ministers Harish rao and Etela Rajendar are criticizing the previous Congress government. They all now become silent spectators in the house. TRS members also gradually soften their tone on the Congress MLAs. CM KCR even gave a clean chit to previous Congress government over DLF lands issue. He is now transferring the whole blame onto APIIC and its officials, as if to save the skin of previous Congress government.   Now, he and his party MLAs are concentrating their attention on TDP MLA Revanth Reddy and Errabelli Dayakar rao. They are not allowing Revanth Reddy to speak in the house.   It would be interesting to know why TRS and Congress parties have soften their tone against each other. Revanth Reddy has tried to woo Congress MLA Mallu Batti Vikramarka in the house to get his support to attack the TRS government on the land allotments. Revanth said that what Batti Vikramarka said about the irregularities taken place in the land allotments is 100 percent true. So, if Revanth could garner his support, then TRS will have a tough time to face both parties in the house.   There is another reason for TRS cooling down. TDP is planning to move a no confidence motion against the Speaker Madhusudhanachary in the house. If so, TRS is planning to seek Congress party support to defeat the motion in the house. So, TRS might have softened its tone on the Congress members.   Congress party also has a good reason to switch off its voice in the Assembly. It finds itself isolated by all other parties in the upcoming GHMC elections. No party is ready to work together with it. While, TRS and MIM are joining hands, TDP and BJP have decides to work together in these elections. In this context, it badly need TRS co-operation to pocket few seats in in the GHMC elections. So, after making its presence felt in the house all these days, it also cooled down as the Assembly sessions are going conclude soon.

SC and HC serve notices to T-MSOs

Responding to a petition filed by ABN Andhra Jyothy on imposing ban on telecasting the news programs in Telangana, Supreme Court has served notices to Centre, State government, ten districts’ collectors, Hyderabad city police commissioner, T-MSOs Association and to its president-Subash Reddy yesterday. The Supreme Court bench comprising Justice Kuriyan, Justice Joseph and Justice Prapulla C Panth gave three weeks’ time to respond on this case.   Advocate AK Ganguli, who argued on behalf of ABN Management, told the court that Telangana MSOs have stopped airing of two news channels in Telangana state from June 17th due to political pressures and not revived till now despite several appeals made by the media, political parties and even central government. So, he argued that the T-MSOs have violated the constitutional right of ABN news channel to telecast the news in the state. He appealed the court to take action on the concerned and also order the T-MSOs start telecasting ABN news channel programs in the state.   State High Court also served notices to T-MSOs yesterday. The High Court bench comprising Justice Kalyansen Gupta and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar responding to a petition filed by V Murali from Kotthapeta in Rangareddy district on the same issue has served notices to T-MSOs and gave them two weeks’ time to respond to the petition and adjourned the case to December 15th.   If, the apex court is convinced that T-MSOs have violated the constitutional rights of the news channels and Telangana government fails to safeguard its constitutional rights, then Telangana Government may face an humiliating experience in the court. Otherwise, the ban on the both news channels may become permanent in Telangana state. So, one can assume that the fight between Telangana government and the news channel has reached peak and in its last leg.

TRS is targeting me: Revanth Reddy

TDP leader Revanth Reddy argues that TRS party is targeting him in the house. He said TRS MLAs are not allowing him to speak in the house, because they do not have answers to his questions on illegal land allotment to industrialist Rameswara rao. He asked how the government can allot land to a company or individual when he or the company is ineligible for it. Replying to KCR’s argument, he asked “In case if my land in Kodangal constituency is taken for some development activity by the state government, then if I demand the government to allot land at KBR Park in the heart of Hyderabad city, will it allots the same amount of land there to me? If, CM KCR’s argument over allotting land to Rameswara rao is justified, then I also can claim land in the heart of the city,” said Revanth Reddy. Revanth Reddy flays CM KCR for not giving him access to the files related to these land allocation that were submitted to the Speaker by him. He asked why he is hesitating to put the files before the house when he is not afraid of a discussion on this matter.  He alleges that CM KCR has told half-truth to misguide the house. If, he reveals rest of the part, people also can understand about the irregularities taken place in this affair. Revanth Reddy says that he still sticks to his allegations made on this matter and it is Telangana CM KCR to prove that his government did nothing wrong in the land allocations. He demands for an inquiry into this matter, if CM KCR really believes the land allotments were done transparently.

Why Digvijay is linking MIM with BJP?

Congress party that has been accusing the ruling TRS government for encouraging defections, now accuses it for clinching MIM party from its hand. It is quite upset to see MIM jumps into TRS lap just, when GHMC elections are round the corner. So, Telangana state Congress party is prepared to fight alone without MIM. So, it is now trying to woo the minorities for the same purpose. It held a meeting with minority leaders at Imperial Garden, Secunderabad on Sunday for this purpose.   State political affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh, who attends this meeting declared that his party is snapping ties with MIM. He sharply criticized MIM for playing double game with Congress party. He said “MIM clings to our party as long as we were in power in the state and jumps into TRS lap as it comes into power now. MIM is also has a secret pact with BJP. Some of its actions are providing advantage to BJP in the city. I challenge MIM to reveal whether they have a secret pact with BJP or not. It is unfortunate to see it playing double game with Muslim community also. However, it makes no difference for our party whether they all join hands or have secret pacts or contest alone. Congress party has the ability to face any kind of challenges. So we will face the GHMC elections without any alliance. We strongly condemn Telangana CM KCR encouraging defections in other parties,” said Digvijay Singh.   Digvijay Singh has made it clear that he dropped into Hyderabad only to woo the minorities, on whom the parties’ electoral chances are depend. Although, Congress party is known for its secular stand, it is also known for treating minorities as just vote bank and nothing else.   Digvijay Singh makes hue and cry because Congress alone can’t make any dent on Muslim community in the city without MIM support. Digvijay is aware that BJP and MIM have strong hold on the Hyderabad city. Now TRS also joins the race.   He tried to link MIM with BJP to create some suspicion among the Muslim community and to ruin electoral chances of both parties. He is criticizing CM KCR because he is upset to see him clinching MIM from Congress hands. Digvijay Singh might be well aware that there will be no room left for his party, if the ruling TRS, MIM BJP and TDP may grab the lion share of votes in GHMC elections. However, he has no other option but face the challenge. So, He declared snapping ties with MIM that already snaps ties with his Congress party long back.

AP government signs MoU to set-up Entertainment City

Few days ago, media was abuzz with the reports that AP government has signed a MoU with a foreign company for setting-up a theme park like Disney Land at Vizag. Here is the latest update about that theme park. AP government has signed a MoU with UK based Eros Investments Ltd., (EIL) on Saturday for constructing a similar project, but not Disney Land exactly. An entertainment city consisting cinema halls, pre and post production facilities for movie, TV and Commercial Ads making, theme parks, shopping malls, commercial and residential complexes, amusement park, hotels and leisure and healthcare facilities will be built by EIL. EIL that is also engaged in film production and distribution businesses of Indian films in multiple languages worldwide will utilize this new facility for making Indian films. It also has plans to set-up a boutique investment banking firm in association with Euromax Capital Ltd. Apart from these activities, EIL will also form strategic partnerships and collaborations with the business firms in the state to take part in development of the city and state. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu said once this project is started it will create lot of direct and indirect employment opportunities to the youth and to related sectors. He expects a multi fold increase in the state revenue with this project, as it will become a major tourist attraction in the state. Though, it is not revealed where this project is coming-up, Vizag may get it as it is already stood a benchmark for tourism in the state.
