Rahul should take party reins: Digvijay

  Earlier, there were demands from some Congress leaders asking Rahul Gandhi to step down from his vice president post owing moral responsibility for the party defeat in the elections. But, now party general secretary Digvijay Singh asks him to take party reins from his mother and reorganize the party. He argues that Rahul should to take charge ignoring the party defeat in the recent elections as it’s quite common in democracy for any party.   He said slump in the political parties is very common and Rahul should realize that Congress is no exception to it. Elections for Congress party president post will be held in the next year. So, it seems he is trying to boost his spirits from now onwards, so as he may get prepared to claim the top post in the party by then.   But, Rahul, who is scared to lead the party in the parliament as its leader will ever gather courage to lead the party? Rahul, who always need some boosting and support from near and dear, can lead the party without being boosted? He always has been proving that his leadership will lead the party to nowhere. If so, why Digvijay Singh is forcing him to occupy party president’s chair? Is he conspiring to wind-up the Congress party?

Farmers’ Suicides are not new: Pocharam

    Even people of Andhra feel very sad to see Telangana farmers are committing suicides due to lack of water supply to save their standing crops. Six farmers have committed suicide in various districts in Telangana state recently for the same reasons. However, Telangana agriculture Minister Pocaharam Srinivas Reddy argues that farmer committing suicides is not a new issue.   He shows the statistics of their deaths during TDP and Congress government’s rule to strengthen his arguments. He said over 3,000 farmers have committed suicide during previous governments’ regimes. But, TDP and Congress parties are speaking like as if it just starts in the TRS regime.   He said “Chief Secretary has asked all the districts collectors to submit the details of the farmers, who committed suicides. Once the report is tabled, state government will help the families of bereaved,” said Pocharam.   But, his statement is clearly revealing that he lacks human approach and has no hard feelings for their suicides. It is unfortunate to hear him transferring the blame onto previous governments, instead of taking corrective measures. Instead of trying to prevent the farmers committing suicides, he says is collecting the statistics of the farmers, who committed suicides.   When Telangana government can reach every nook and corner of the state for conducting a statewide survey, then why is it failing to adopt the same idea to talk to its beleaguered farmers? If all the MLAs, MPs and Ministers visit their constituencies and meet the farmers and extend all possible help to them, it could save hundreds of farmers’ lives. But, they will go to people only when there are elections and not when the people badly need their support.

Jagan Celebrates AP Formation Day

  YSR Congress party President Jagan Mohan Reddy has celebrated Andhra Pradesh Formation Day at his party office, Hyderabad today. Later, addressing his party leaders, “It is unfortunate that Chandrababu Naidu government has changed the AP Formation Day from November 1st to June 2nd, ignoring the great sacrifices of Potti Sriramulu and others. Chandrababu Naidu seems has no idea or interest about our history, otherwise he will not dare to change the formation day,” said Jagan Mohan Reddy.   He further said “Although, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand states are separated from Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh simultaneously, the residuary states have not changed their formation days. But, Chandrababu Naidu simply changed the formation day to June 2nd without considering all these aspects.”   “Actually, Telangana state that separates and emerged as 29th state in the country has to observe June 2nd as its formation day, but not the residuary AP state. Hence, we are celebrating AP Formation Day today and I demand Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to revoke his decision and declare November 1st as AP Formation Day, otherwise, when our party comes into power, will definitely change it,” said Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Jagan is a human Robot: Konathala

  One says he is sadist. Other says he is monarch. Another person certifies him suffering with a phobia of insecurity. Someone else says he is self-destroyer of the party. Konathala says he is a human robot. He is Jagan Mohan Reddy and they are his party leaders, who left his party.   Konathala Ramakrishna, a member of YSR party political affairs committee and known as the most trusted leader in the party has been kicked out by Jagan Mohan Reddy. Like many others, who face the same fate in his hands reveals many interesting things about him.   Konathala speaking to media said, “Jagan Mohan Reddy has the habit of insulting his own leaders before other leaders of the party. His smile, speech, thoughts everything is artificial. He can be termed as human robot. He doesn’t bother to take or hear any suggestions from his party leaders. He consults one or two persons close to him and takes decisions, whereas his father late YS Rajashekhar Reddy was used to ask and think over the party leaders suggestions."   "In fact, many senior leaders in the party have no role to play, because of this problem only. If any leader takes initiative, he will get angry and simply get rid of them. Many politicians’ political future was ruined after joining YSR Congress party. He not only ruining their political future but also hammering nails on his own party coffin by sending them out,” he said.   “I plainly told him that it is very difficult to face Chandrababu Naidu’s elections strategies and asked him to be more precautious with party elections strategies, but he doesn’t care my warning. He believed that his image itself is enough to handle Chandrababu Naidu and his TDP, but YSRCP was defeated in the elections. In fact, he himself should be blamed for its defeat and not Chandrababu Naidu or his TDP,” said Konathala.   “However, I thank Jagan Mohan Reddy for relieving me from the pains I had all these years during my stay in the party. I feel very sorry to snap ties with YSR family. I am not angry on him but feel pity for him,” said Konathala.

Telangana government blessed with controversy?

  It seems the ruling TRS government got a breather with the latest controversy erupted with the funds transfer by AP official Murali Sagar into AP government account. So far, Telangana government is facing tremendous pressures from opposition parties over power crisis and farmers suicides etc. issues. Even, it may find it very difficult to defend itself from opposition parties attacks in the upcoming Assembly sessions. But now it feel blessed with the latest controversy erupted out of funds transfer. So, Telangana ministers grab this opportunity to hit back at AP government and TDP. Probably TRS may keep the heat alive till the Assembly sessions begin November 5th and may try to highlight this point to prevent opposition parties raising other issues that will be embarrassing for it.

Unwed mother has to declare how she conceived?

  Advocate Purnima Bhatia, who appears for foreign ministry in Bombay Court, has made it clear that ‘An unwed mother has to declare how she conceived and also should submit an affidavit whether she was raped to have a passport for her child. She has to tell the reasons why she doesn’t want add child’s father’s name in the passport. She said these details are available in the passport manual, a classified document.   A woman has filed the petition in the court after the regional passport officer has refused to add her step father’s name in the passport. The officer suggested her to get the court order appointing him as her guardian for adding his name in her passport. When the court seeks foreign ministry explanation in this matter, its reply is very shocking.

Jagan has insecure feeling: Gandi Babji

  Soon after Konathala Ramakrishna was relieved from YSR Congress party, his close aide Gandi Babji also quits party. While quitting the party, he reveals that Jagan Mohan Reddy is suffering with insecure feeling. He fears that if seniors are encouraged in the party they will steal the limelight that he wants for himself. Babji terms it as insecure-phobia.   “He never bothers to take suggestions of the seniors in the party. If anyone questions him, he will not hesitate to get rid of him off immediately. He wants to get rid of Konathala, because he openly told him that his mother Vijaya Lakshmi electoral chances are blink in Vizag. So, he believes that Konathala has worked against her in the elections and get rid of him now. But, everyone in the party knows that he is a well-wisher of the party," said Babji.   "It is not true that Konathala has not responded to Jagan’s phone calls. In fact, Konathala has tried to talk to Jagan by phone, but he let his political advisor Somayajulu and senior leader Mysoora Reddy speak on his behalf. Jagan puts a condition to Konathala to talk with him. He wants Konathala condemn the media reports about sending his resignation letter by e-mail, but when Konathala refused he accepts his resignation letter even without talking to him. Jagan is self-destroying his party. He runs the party like his own business and not apolitical party,” said Gandi Babji.

Why his voice softens on Andhra people?

  Telangana CM KCR in his recent public meeting held at Meerpet surprised everybody by stating “I treat all the Andhra people settled in Telangana like our family members. Our government will safeguard their interests. We take everyone support for Telangana development.” KCR generally humiliates the Andhra people, politicians and the AP government. Even while speaking soft on the people, he spits fire on AP government and its Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for robbing the water and power of Telangana state. Probably he softens his tone keeping in view of upcoming GHMC elections. He badly needs their support to win the elections as opposition parties may project the elections as a referendum on his ruling. So, he seems is trying to impress the Andhra people settled in Hyderabad that he and his government is not against them. But, the question is, will they ever believe him at all, who refuses to recognize their service to the state and Hyderabad development? Will they believe him who refuse to reimburse the fees of their children?

Nara Lokesh comes-up with innovative idea

  TDP youth icon Nara Lokesh, who earlier for the first time in the country has introduced party workers welfare fund is now again comes-up with an very innovative idea to enroll new members into party during special drive to be launched in both states beginning from November 3rd.   He declared every active member will be covered under group insurance for an amount of Rs.2 lakh and Rs.50, 000 in case of accident. He said the party will also take care of education of two children of the party members, in case of death. He said an active member has to pay Rs.100 and Rs.10 for ordinary membership.   He targets to enroll 18-25 lakh new members in the special drive to be conducted by 1600 youngsters in both states. Lokesh is also using paperless technology to enroll the new members. Tablet PCs with internet connection will be used for enrollment. This will enable the party head office to monitor the enrollments from Hyderabad. Providing insurance cover to party members and enrolment using tablet PCs both ideas are first of their kind in the country.

Visible growth in AP income

  There were apprehensions that residuary AP state that lost Hyderabad to Telangana state may take years to recover from its financial losses. The consequent financial crunch faced by the state post bifurcation also strengthened those apprehensions. However, there is visible growth in the state revues said officials of Commercial taxes, Excise, Transport, Mines, Forest, Stamps and Registrations departments to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu during a recent meeting.   According to them, the total revenue generated from the 13 districts of the state during the current financial year is Rs. 12,881 crores where as it was Rs.11, 313 in the last year in the same period, which means there is Rs.1, 368 growth in the state revenue. Commercial Taxes: Rs. 6207 crores (Rs. 5, 858 crores first quarter in the last year.); Rs. 6673 crores (Rs. 5, 454 crores in the second quarter last year.) Excise Department: Rs. 1,700 crores including first and second quarters of current financial year. Stamps & Registrations: 1, 318 crores Transport: Rs.888 crores Mining: Rs.426 crores Revenue: Rs.94 crores Forests: Rs.21 crores   Hence, there is 17.6 percent growth in state revenues during the second quarter of the current financial year, said the officials.

YCP activist arrested for Facebook comments

  CH Rahul Reddy, YSR Congress party activist from Guntur was arrested by the state CID police for posting ‘irresponsible and anti-people’ comments on Facebook. He writes ““I love u Hudhood, Mosam chesina varini matram bendu teestunna prakruthi (nature is taking revenge on those who cheated)… feeling god is there (sic).”   Police have arrested him from Arundalpet in Guntur two days ago. He is BL final year student studying in a local college. He is closely associated with YSR Congress party district student wing, said the police. He was arrested under provisions of the I-T Act dealing with hate speech, and a case was filed under Section 153 A and Section 66-A (b) of the IT Act 2000 said CID additional DG Tirumala Rao. He said the youth was arrested after receiving a complaint from a local person against him.

Bollywood Couple arrested

  Andheri court in Mumbai has granted bail to Bollywood Actress Sana Khan and her boyfriend Ismail Khan. Amboli police have arrested them on Wednesday morning after receiving a complaint from a woman, who accuses them for sexually harassing her. Ismail Khan is also facing charges of assaulting his co-star Sahil Khan at a Gym. So, Sahil Khan also has lodged a complaint against him. However, court has granted them bail as police sought more time to collect evidences for both these cases.

SC sets Nov.11 as deadline for Delhi government formation

  The Supreme Court that raps the Centre and Delhi Lt. Governor Nazeeb Jung for the abnormal delay taken place in forming the government of Delhi has given them time till November 11th. However, the apex court bench headed by CJI HL Dattu appreciated the efforts of Delhi Lt. Governor for initiating negotiations with the three political parties-Congress, BJP and Aam Admi Parties for this purpose. The bench has dismissed the plea of AAP for dissolving the government and conducting fresh elections. The bench opined that Lt Governor should be given more time as there is possibility of forming minority government with outside support of some party.   Out of the 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly, BJP has 31 plus one Akalidal MLA support, AAP-28 and Congress-8 and two independents. However, none of the three parties are able to form the government as 34 MLAs are needed for it. Recently, 3 MLAs of BJP have resigned to their posts as they got elected to Loksabha. So, the bye-elections for these three seats will be held in the next month and so the apex court bench has preferred to wait till then and adjourned the case to November 11th.

AP Formation Day on June 2nd

  Dropping curtains on the ongoing debate over when to observe AP formation day, the state cabinet that met today has decided to observe it on June 2nd that is Telangana has separated from residuary Andhra Pradesh state. So, residuary Andhra Pradesh state also has emerged as a new state with 13 districts on the same day. So, both states may observe the formation day on the same day.   There were arguments that June 8th should be observed as AP formation day that is when the President’s Rule on the state was lifted and TDP government has sworn in. Some others argued that there is no need to change the formation day from November 1st because it is Telangana that separated from AP state and not AP from Telangana state. But, AP government dropped the curtains on the debate by approving June 2nd as AP formation day. So, both AP and Telangana states have missed to celebrate their first formation days this year.

Chiranjeevi spits fire on Chandrababu!

  It seems Chiranjeevi has learnt the basic principles on how to criticize the ruling party at its every move. Although, he did nothing to personally help the Hudhud victims, except granting some amount from his MP LADs funds, he criticizes AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and his government.   Speaking to media at Ananthapur, “Chandrababu Naidu and his government completely failed to help the Hudhud victims. Fifty people were died in the cyclone merely because government’s failure to take any precautionary measures. Chandrababu Naidu has tried to get publicity instead of helping the victims,” said Chiranjeevi. He also criticized him for failing to clear crop loans and in getting special status to state even after four months.   But, Chiranjeevi conveniently ignored the point that his own brother Pawan Kalyan, who immediately visited the cyclone affected Visakhapatnam city, has praised Chandrababu Naidu for his prompt and efficient management in taking relief measures.   Pawan Kalyan said “I understand I took a very wise decision by supporting an efficient administrator like Chandrababu Naidu. He is doing quite wonderful job.”   People in general also agree with him because they also believe that if it is not Chandrababu Naidu then one can’t expect the relief operations completes with such pace. Power, water and food supplies were restored within one week in the cyclone affected areas in three districts. Vegetables and other necessary items were brought from other districts and distributed to people through ration shops at free of cost. Vegetables were supplied at throw away prices and sometimes even at free of cost for last ten days. He deployed huge manpower and machinery from other districts and states to rectify the electrical, phone lines and to clear the thousands of huge trees from the roads. Because of his preparedness and planning only the three districts are able to stand-up on their feet again within ten days.   Senior Congress leader V Hanumantha rao from Telangana, who visited Visakhapatnam city soon after the cyclone, is all praise to Chandrababu Naidu for his efficient management. He also donates some amount for cyclone victims.   But, Chiranjeevi without knowing these ground realities is criticizing Chandrababu Naidu like any opposition leader as if he is practicing the standard political methods. In fact, he can mobilize help to victims if he personally participate in relief operations and gives a call to his fans. But, he just limits himself to criticize the CM and his government.

Why did Konathala wants to quit YSR party?

  Soon after the news broke about Konathala Ramakrishna has resigned to party political affairs committee and ready to leave the party, media reports that he is quitting YSR Congress party because he is quite angry with his party high command for removing his close aide Gandi Babji from party in-charge post of Pendurthy area in Visakhapatnam. Although, he doesn’t acknowledge the reports, Gudiwada Amarnath, YSR party MP from his Anakapalli constituency promptly responding to the media reports said “There is nothing wrong in removing Gandi Babji from his post, because he never bothers to attend the meetings conducted in the district by our party president Jagan Mohan Reddy.” Konathala is reported to be wrote Jagan Mohan Reddy that he can’t continue in the party where he is not respected. The havoc created with the news reports about his resignation, may certainly irks Jagan Mohan Reddy and he may force Konathala to leave the party immediately.  

Sonia, Rahul also have black money: BJP

  Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has stated that some top Congress leaders’ names have been listed in the black money account holders and if the names are disclosed Congress party will feel ashamed of its leaders. However, NDA government has disclosed three names to Supreme Court today, but none of them are belongs to Congress party.   But, BJP leader Subrahmanya Swamy from Chennai accused Congress party president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi of having black money in foreign banks. He claims that he has submitted relevant documents to Enforcement Directorate but they were thrown into dustbin. Since there is change of guard takes place at Centre now, he expects some action will be taken against both mother and son. He said many other Congress leaders also have dumped huge black money in their foreign bank accounts. He hopes that all their names will be made public very soon. Although, none from the NDA government has made such allegations against Sonia and Rahul Gandhi till now, probably the government allows Subrahmanya Swamy to aim his guns at them both so as to be on safe side.

Jr. Doctors have no right to go on strike: HC

  Soon after Telangana CM KCR has asked the officials to debar the agitating Jr. Doctors for six months if they fails to join duties before tomorrow evening, they knocks the High Court doors just only to hear that they have no right to go on strike. The High Court categorically told them that they have no right to go on strike because they are neither employees nor workers in any industry. The High Court also warns them of taking serious action if they continue their strike any further.   They have been agitating opposing state government’s decision of making it mandatory to serve in the villages for at least one year during their medical course. However, government didn’t succumb to their pressures, instead prepared to debar them all for six months. CM KCR has asked the officials to intimate their parents about state government’s decision and ensure all of they join duties by tomorrow evening.   So, they have only two options. One is to join duties immediately and other one is to knock Supreme Court doors challenging High Court and state government’s decisions. They may choose the first option.

Black money account holders’ names disclosed

  As against everyone expected, Centre has disclosed the names of three businessmen instead of some Congress leaders’ names to Supreme Court in the affidavit filed a short while ago, who have dumped black money in foreign banks. They are Pradeep Burman, former executive director of Dabur Company, Punkaj Chaman Lal an industrialist belongs to Rajkot and Radha S Tintlo a mining businessman of Goa. Perhaps, Congress leaders have a sigh of relief as their names were not included in the first list.
