Sujana announces good News for AP state

Union Minister of state for science and technology Y Sujana Chowdary has announced some good news to the people of Andhra Pradesh state. He said that Centre is all set to release first installment of funds Rs.1000 crores within 15 days for the construction of the new capital city of the state. He said Centre is keen to release more funds for the same purpose, but the state should have the capacity to spend that amounts. He said that Centre will bear entire financial burden of constructing major structures and infrastructure development like Assembly, Rajbhavan, High Court, Secretariat, residential colonies for employees and officers during the initial stage.

If, the Centre releases the funds at regular intervals, then the main part of construction of the new capital city may be completed within next four and half years. However, the state government is appealing the Centre to release funds to meet the budget deficit of Rs.16, 000 crore, otherwise it will land in troubles very soon. But, the Centre’s response to Chief Minister’s appeal is not known yet. However, since this announcement from YS Chowdary has come after Chandrababu Naidu meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley recently, one can expect more funds may be released in the near future.
