Asaduddin’s controversial remarks

Once again, MIM President and MP Asaduddin Owaisi made controversial remarks today on confirming death sentence of Mumbai blasts conspirator Yakub Memon. He willbe hanged on July 30th in Nagapur Central jail, where he has been imprisoned for last several years.   He said, “Yakub will be hanged only because he is a Muslim. There are several people awarded death sentence by the courts in the country. But none of them get punishment. Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and former Punjab Chief Minister Biyanth Singh’s murderers have managed to escape from their death punishment because they have political parties’ support. But, there is no one to support Yakub Memon, because he is Muslim. Punishment should be given based on the crime and not on the basis of one’s religion.”   BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj is first to respond to Asaduddin’s statement. He strongly condemned Asaduddin’s statement and objected him for finding fault with the Supreme Court’s judgment.   He said “250 innocent people were killed on the spot and more than 600 people were badly injured in the Mumbai serial bomb blasts conspired by Yakub Memon and his gang. The apex court of the country found him guilty and confirmed his death sentence. Then how Asaduddin can is objecting Yakub’s death sentence. If he doesn’t agree with the Indian courts’ judgment then he is free to shift to Pakistan. Those who have no faith in the Indian courts and constitution can leave the country.”

Rahul hits back at YSR Congress party

AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who is currently visiting in Ananthapur district, said that he come to the state after knowing about farmers and handloom workers miserable condition. He said that Congress party has promised to grant special status to the AP state, but the Modi government is not implementing it.   Rahul said that he doesn’t understand what the state government and the main opposition party (YSRCP) is doing when the Modi government is not granting special status to the state. He said TDP and YSRCP both seem to be afraid to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi about special status and Polavaram project. He promised the people that his party will fight on their behalf with the state and central governments.   Just ahead of his padayatra in the state, YSR Congress party strongly criticized Rahul Gandhi after hearing that he is going to garland late YSR statue. Now, he criticizes YSR Congress party for being inactive on special status and Polavaram project. But, it is to be noted that both parties have been maintaining safe distance from each other since last one year. This is first time that they are criticizing each other.   Rahul Gandhi may be trying to highlight a point that his Congress party is playing the main opposition party role in the AP state by fighting alone for the special status and Polavaram project, but YSRCP fails. It is true that Congress party is fighting for the special status, but really not for it. It is fighting to win the hearts of the people and thus to strengthen the party in the state again.   But, YSRCP never fought for special status, except its MPs occasionally demanding for it in the parliament. It may be hesitating to fight on this issue because it doesn’t want to trouble BJP as it is still hopeful to have alliance with it in future. Hence, YSRCP is mainly focusing on local issues like crop loans waiver, Hudhud relief works, land acquisition for capital city, Pattiseema project, Pushkaralu tragedy etc.   Hence, Rahul Gandhi’s observation about YSRCP stand on these issues is quite justified. But, his views on the ruling TDP can’t be justified, because being alliance partner of BJP and partner in the Modi Government, TDP can’t hit the roads like opposition parties demanding special status or Polavaram project. But, certainly it’s MPs and ministers are putting constant pressure on the Centre to fulfill all its promises.

AP seed capital city highlights

Singapore team lead by their minister Eeshwaran handed over the master plan of the seed capital city of Andhra Pradesh State to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today and returns to Singapore today evening. The seed capital city will be developed into mega city.   Seven regional and 7 development centers will be constructed in the capital city. Guntur, Sattenpalli, Tenali, Gudiwada, Gannavaram, Nandigama and Nuziveedu will be developed as regional centers.   The seed capital city is divided into four major parts. 1. Amaravati Gateway. 2. Amaravati Downtown. 3. Amaravati Government core area. 4. Amaravati Water Front area. The Seed capital will be built in 16.9 Sq. Km. Two high rise buildings with 45 floors each will be built side by side on the left side of the Krishna River that will accommodate Secretariat etc. Similarly, IT towers, multiplex theaters etc. will be accommodated in the high rise buildings on the right side of the river.   There will be 250 Km long water ways called as ‘Blue Ways’ will be developed inside the seed capital. People can reach any place in the city using boats in these Blue Ways. There will be elevated express highways, walk ways and special corridors for bicycles etc. in the seed capital city.   Around 3 lakh residential complexes will be built in the seed capital. However, the seed capital city is designed to accommodate nearly 40 lakh people in the initial stages itself and its capacity keep growing as capital city spreads around seed capital city. Capital city is designed to generate employment to nearly 7 lakh people and that number also keep growing along with the capital city development.   CM Chandrababu Naidu said that his government will try to complete the 1st phase construction of the seed capital city before 2018 in Swiss Challenge system. He welcomed Singapore Minister Eeshwaran’s proposal of his country taking part in construction activities of the capital city. Chandrababu Naidu said that he welcome anyone who comes to extend their support for construction of the capital city.

Is TRS so desperate to join NDA alliance?

Telangana Chief Minister KCR and his daughter Kavita have given many hints about their interest to join NDA alliance. Once again, it was revealed by TRS MP Kavita in her latest statement. She said “Our Chief Minister KCR is focusing his full attention on development of the state, whereas T-TDP leaders are creating hurdles for it. However, T-BJP leaders remain mum keeping in view of BJP and TDP alliance. So, people of the state may lose their confidence on BJP, if it continues alliance with TDP any longer.”   Her statement is clearly revealing that TRS is desperate to have alliance with BJP and so it is provoking BJP to snap its ties with TDP. TRS may be realized that it can’t enter into NDA alliance nor can it expect any minister posts in the Modi cabinet as long as TDP-BJP alliance continues.   Earlier, Kavita has openly stated that she would definitely consider if Prime Minister Narendra Modi invites her to join his cabinet. Modi allowed her to take selfie with him but not offered any minister post to her. It is quite natural to feel embarrassed after disclosing the ambitions to media and but when can’t be fulfilled. So, TRS has suddenly hardens its voice against BJP and appears to be threatening that it has to pay dearly, if fails to join hands with TRS party in the state.   But, TRS is conveniently ignoring a point that a regional party like it can’t dictate terms to a national level party like BJP. TRS party’s political activities and its interests are limited to Telangana state only whereas BJP has to think about its interests in Andhra Pradesh state also. However, the frequent change in TRS attitude towards the Centre is evidently indicating that maintaining relations with TRS party would be not that easy as with TDP.

RGV is taking sweet revenge on Mega family?

Veteran director Ram Gopal Varma has never tried to conceal his dream to direct Mega star Chiranjeevi and Pawn Kalyan, but they have not even think to respond to his proposals. Naturally, their silence may hurt him very badly and so is he appears to be taking sweet revenge on them now. The timing of Chiranjeevi preparing for his 150th movie and Bahubali movie release, gave him a chance to pinch the Mega brothers.   He starts comparing Chiranjeevi’s upcoming 150th block buster movie with Bahubali, and trying to educate the people that it must be much bigger hit than Bahubali otherwise it would disappoints his fans very much. First, RGV opines that none other than Rajamouli can direct him to deliver a much bigger hit than Bahubali. He appears to be trying to break the self-confidence of Chiranjeevi and Puri Jagannath even before they launch their movie shooting.   Now, he suggests Chiranjeevi that he should direct his 150th film or let his brother Pawan Kalyan direct him and Ramcharan Tej produce that movie. Then only it would be bigger than 2 Bahubali movies. In other words he is plainly asking to remove director Puri Jagannath from this project, whom he is envying for grabbing such a wonderful chance.   His jealousy towards Puri Jagannath can be understood, but it is very unfortunate to hear him making such suggestions to Chiranjeevi. Being a senior director and movie maker in the film industry, Ram Gopal Varma very well knew that there will be very high expectations on Chiranjeevi’s 150th movie and so he should be very cautious with every aspect related to his film.   RGV is also aware that Chiranjeevi is going ahead with his project with Puri Jagannath only after he is fully convinced. Hence, this kind of suggestion at this time may be intended to distract them and can’t be considered as any well-wisher’s advice. Despite knowing that relations between Mega brothers are straining, RGV is trying to provoke them against each other. He appears to be taking sweet revenge on them because he doesn’t get a chance to direct Mega brothers.

Cong. & YSRCP indulged in cheap tricks?

Congress and YSR Congress parties have been charging AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for engaging director Boyapati Sreenu to shoot a short film while he and his family members were conducting Pushkar rituals at Kotagummam ghat on the day one of the Pushkarams. But, the fact is that both parties are intentionally making this baseless allegation to defame the AP CM.   Of course Chandrababu Naidu has engaged Boyapati Sreenu for shooting short film, but not for filming his family members conducting Pushkar rituals. He was engaged to shoot ‘Godavari Harati’ program that is being performed daily in the evening time.   AP government has launched this ‘Godavari Harati’ recently inspiring from ‘Ganaga Harati’ being conducted in holy Banaras city on the banks of River Ganga every day evening. Chandrababu Naidu, who was not happy for the poor response to ‘Godavari Harati’ has engaged director Boyapati to shoot a short film on it so as to telecast it in the TV channels and popularize it as a major attraction in Godavari Pushkaralu.   Hence, Boyapati and his team have filmed ‘Godavari Harati’ program a day before the tragic incident occurs. But, Congress and YSR Congress parties have grabbed this opportunity to misguide the people of the state.   If we closely watch this picture it can seen it is late evening time and so the lights were glowing behind Boyapati. We can also see Boyapati is giving instructions to his cameraman while Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is lighting the "Harati" placed in a plate on the table. This is clearly indicating that Boyapati was engaged to shoot "Godavari Harati" program, but not the Pushkar rituals performed by Chief minister family at morning 6.26 am.   This is revealing how Congress and YSR Congress parties are playing very cheap tricks to misguide the people in a bid to defame the state government and the Chief Minister.

Strike for a week or two and get additional hike!

Finally, Telangana CM KCR has agreed for 47. 05 per cent hike of salaries of the GHMC sanitary workers and drivers on Thursday night. Around 24, 000 workers will benefit with this latest hike, which would be implemented from July month itself.   However, this is applicable to those workers only who join their duties following the orders of the government and those who have not joined duties on Thursday will be terminated from services immediately. CM KCR orders GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar to terminate those workers who were indulged in arson or misbehaved during strike period.   CM KCR has stated that he has granted 43 per cent hike to state government employees, 44 per cent to RTC employees and 47.05 per cent to GHMC sanitary workers only because he cares for them and respects their services. He blamed that some Andhra based political parties have provoked the GHMC workers to go on strike merely to defame the state government.   But, there are some questions that needs answers from him. If, he really cares for the sanitary workers, then why did he ignored their pleas for wage hike and their strike? If he really cares for them then why did he orders GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar to terminate some workers on different reasons?   He made it a practice to let the workers or employees continue their strike for a week or two and then grants one or two per cent addition to their demand, which he can do before they begin strike and could avert problems to the people. But, he is implementing this trick to win the hearts of the striking workers or employees.   At the same time he can fool the opposition parties with this trick. It can be seen how the T-Congress leaders humiliated when they staging dharna in front of Secretariat main entrance, while there was no GHMC worker around. TRS leaders asked them why they are staging dharna even after the sanitary workers discontinued their strike on Thursday itself.   CM KCR once again has tried to attack Andhra tag to TDP and YSRCP for supporting Telangana bandh call given by left parties. However, his peculiar idea of letting the workers and employees strike for a week or two and then increasing their wages more than their expectations is encouraging others also to go on strike and get more than what they demand.

HC stays on Hero Moto Corp construction activities

Responding to a petition filed by Iashwarya Orchids, high court issues a stay order on construction activities of Hero Moto Corp at Madanapalli in Chittoor district. The petitioner argued that the state government has not settled the payment until now and also fails to follow the provisions of transparent land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement of the 844 acres of land acquired by it from them and allots to Hero Company.   The petitioner also reminds the court that it has issued an interim injunction order in year 2007, when the state government attempted to procure its lands for industrial development. Hence, the high court grants a stay order on construction activities in this huge chunk of land and asked the Company and the state government to maintain ‘status co’ condition until further orders.   This would be a major setback for the state government which is spearheading with industrial development activities. Hero Moto Corp has agreed to set up its first ever manufacturing unit down the south at Madanapalli in Chittoor district with a huge investment of Rs.3, 000 crores. It plans to manufacture 1.8 million units per year initially and increase its production capacity to 12 million units per year in the coming years.   Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu managed to attract this largest two-wheeler motor bikes manufacturing company-Hero Moto Corp to the state after facing very high competition from neighboring states. Hence, the state government has to resolve this serious issue immediately otherwise neighboring states may definitely take this as advantage and may try to attract it.

Can they stress Governor for HC bifurcation?

TRS party MPs will meet Governor Narasimhan on Thursday to stress him to take initiative for bifurcation of the High Court. But, they are also aware that he also can’t do anything in this regard as the matter is in AP government’s hands.   According to the AP Reorganization Act, the existing common High Court will go to Telangana state once a High Court is arranged for Andhra Pradesh by the state government with the help of Central financial aid. Hence, the High Court bench categorically stated that the present combined High Court can’t be divided or can’t be relocated anywhere else in Hyderabad city. Neither AP nor Telangana states can set up a separate High Court in Hyderabad by dividing the existing one.The existing High Court can’t be allotted to Telangana state, until the AP state government set-up its own High Court somewhere within the state.   Even, the Centre also has endorsed the High Court’s ruling given on this particular issue and expressed its helplessness. Telangana state government, its ministers MPs and MLAs all are aware about this bitter fact. However TRS MPs are approaching the Governor to stress him on this issue, even after knowing that he can do nothing in this regard. Andhra Pradesh state government is planning to set up its High Court in its upcoming capital city Amaravati. It may take two or three years to set up the High Court in the city. Hence, TRS government can’t expect bifurcation of the existing High Court in its present term.

Why Kishan Reddy did soften voice on TDP?

It was not any big secret that BJP Telangana state President Kishan Reddy dislikes having alliance with TDP in Telangana state. He spells his mind again when Revanth Reddy was arrested by the ACB in the note-for-vote case. Then, he announced that he is updating his party high command about the ongoing developments and left the decision to it to decide whether to continue alliance with TDP or not. But, suddenly he softens his voice and speaking in favour of TDP now.   He said “TRS Chief KCR has cooked this note-for-vote case conspiracy in an attempt to wipe out TDP from the Telangana state. But, it backfires at him and made much damage to his TRS party than TDP in the state. Our alliance with TDP will continue in upcoming GHMC and Warangal Municipal Corporation Elections.”   But, what makes Kishan Reddy change his attitude towards TDP so suddenly? Perhaps, it is because of his party national president Amit Shah educating him about BJP’s poor representation and strength in the Telangana state. Amit Shah has made his state BJP leaders realize that their party is not strong except Hyderabad. He is also said to be scolded them for doing nothing to strengthen the party in the state. However, TDP has strong cadres all over the state and can make a dent in any elections. Its recent victory from two places in the local bodies’ elections during peak of the crisis was a fine example for its unsheltered strength and self-confidence.   Hence, Amit Shah may educates Kishan Reddy that he shouldn’t stress for snapping ties with TDP, instead should strengthen the bond between two parties until BJP strengthens its base in the state. BJP may face GHMC elections and may pocket lion share of wards in Hyderabad twin cities, but it can’t expect any such miracle in the Warangal Municipal Corporation Elections. Bye-election for Warangal Lok Sabha seat also will be held soon which is necessitated with Kadiyam Srihari’s resignation. So, BJP may need TDP support to win the elections. This is why Kishan Reddy may be softens his voice against TDP.
