Telangana is not in UPA agenda: Chacko

AICC official spokes person Chacko, who earlier has assured the Telangana Congress MPs that Telangana is on Congress agenda and the matter will be resolved at the earliest, has said today that Telangana is not in UPA manifesto. He refused to elaborate the matter any further.   But, his statement indicates that Congress has no plans to take any favorable decision on Telangana issue in its present term.   The timing of his statement is very significant. His statement comes soon after Sonia Gandhi had a meeting with K.Keshav rao, who said he has discussed all the issues including Telangana.   He also said that their meeting was quite cordial and he is quite satisfied with the meeting. Chacko’s latest statement on Telangana, underlines that the same has been conveyed to Keshav rao and he is convinced with party’s decision. However, Chacko’s statement has comes as a big shock to Telangana Congress leaders, who are taking cover under high command. Chacko’s statement virtually stripped off their cover and will puts them in front of TRS as if they were punching bags.   Actually, Keshav rao’s meeting with Sonia Gandhi has pulled the carpet under TRS feet, which believed lost in the game. But, Chacko’s statement has breathed life into TRS. Now, it has enough reasons to attack on Congress leaders.   But, the million dollar question is why did Chako stirred this new controversy, while everything is going smooth with Telangana issue? Is Congress high command also wants to keep the Telangana fire live till the elections? Is it intentionally provoking TRS and pro Telangana leaders for unknown reasons?

Kiran Kumar is given free hand?

Although, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is still busy discussing with party high command in New Delhi, back at home media is abuzz with the news that he is given free hand to deal with tainted ministers’ issue, decedents issue, reshuffling cabinet with his choice of ministers and facing 2014 elections. If this is to be believed, then it is against Congress functioning style. So far, it has given free hand only to late YS Rajashekar Reddy and all others were remotely operated by Congress high command. If, Kiran is also given a free hand, then it would be phenomenon in Congress history.   His actions after returning home will reveal about how much the party high command has allowed him to go. If the reports are to be believed then, the first thing he will be doing is removing decedent ministers like Dr.DL Ravindra Reddy, C.Rama Chandraiah and some others who is criticizing him for his welfare schemes. Then, form his team to face the elections. He may shift the tainted ministers to some other unimportant port folios to reduce the negative effect of carrying them in the government, while providing immune from CBI prosecution.   His next step would be going for local body elections. It will help him to showcase his leadership qualities to the party high command as well as it can provide employment to his followers, with whom he wants to go for the elections.   Botsa Satyanarayana might have been asked to fully co-operate with him or else will have to loose his present PCC Chief post. The permission for inducting 9 general secretaries and 5 vice presidents into PCC is a clear indication that he was asked to concentrate on party affairs than putting nose in the day to day business of the government.

Raghunandan rao fires 1st missile on Harish rao

Raghunandan rao, who was suspended from TRS party two days ago has warned TRS president K.Chandrashekar rao and his aides to apologize him for making false allegations against him or he will reveal their shady deals before the media. Since the deadline of 48 hours given to them was over today and TRS leaders fail to prove their allegations or ignored to apologize him, Raghunandan rao has fired the 1st missile at TRS leader Harish rao at press meet held at Hyderabad a short while ago.   Raghunandan rao has disclosed how Harish rao has blackmailed Padamalaya Studios that belongs to Tollywood actor Super star Krishna and his family members.   He said Harish rao has filed a public interest petition (PIL) in High Court in year 2008 against Padamalaya Studios Management for misusing the lands allotted to it for other than movie shootings. However, later he has never stressed about the matter because the management of the studio has paid him Rs.80 Lakhs at Vijaya Shnathi’s house in year 2009. The matter was settled in the presence of Vijaya Shanthi and two producers from Adilabad, who have mediated in this affair. Raghunandan has distributed the copies of the PIL filed by Harish rao and other evidences related to this case to media people.   He said he is going to file a defamation case in High Court soon against KCR, Harish rao and management of Telangana News channel, for defaming him with false allegations levying against him. He said he will submit all the evidences to High Court and to CBI for further investigation and action. He said he is going to disclose more such shady deals about TRS leaders in the next few days. He said he is not afraid of any threats from KCR or any of his men. He said if he receives any threatening calls, he will record and use the same to file a case against them.

SC objects arrests for face book comments

Once again the arrest of a person for posting objectionable matter in social networking site face book draws the apex court’s attention.   State police have arrested Jaya Vindhayal, the state general secretary of People's Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL), on May 12 under section 66A of the IT Act for posting "objectionable" content in the social network site. She has made some allegations against former CM K.Rosaiah and Mohan and also repiortedly distributed pamphlets to the people.   When the matter was brought to Supreme Court’s notice by a law student Shreya Singhal, the court has said today that no person should be arrested for posting objectionable comments on social networking sites without taking prior permission from senior police officials. It also reminds the state governments about the bill passed by the Center regarding guidelines to be followed in making arrests in such cases.   The bench of justices B S Chauhan and Dipak Misra have said "We direct the state governments to ensure compliance with the guidelines (issued by Centre) before making any arrest." The advisory issued by the Centre says that, "State governments are advised that as regard to arrest of any person in complaint registered under section 66A of the Information Technology Act, the concerned police officer of a police station may not arrest any person until she/he has obtained prior approval of such arrest from an officer, not below the rank of Inspector General of Police (IGP) in metropolitan cities or of an officer not below the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) or Superintendent of Police (SP) at district level, as the case may be."   The apex court, which has refused to pass an order for a blanket ban on the arrest of a person for making objectionable comments on websites, said state governments should ensure strict compliance of the Centre's January 9th.
