Although, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is still busy discussing with party high command in New Delhi, back at home media is abuzz with the news that he is given free hand to deal with tainted ministers’ issue, decedents issue, reshuffling cabinet with his choice of ministers and facing 2014 elections. If this is to be believed, then it is against Congress functioning style. So far, it has given free hand only to late YS Rajashekar Reddy and all others were remotely operated by Congress high command. If, Kiran is also given a free hand, then it would be phenomenon in Congress history.

 

His actions after returning home will reveal about how much the party high command has allowed him to go. If the reports are to be believed then, the first thing he will be doing is removing decedent ministers like Dr.DL Ravindra Reddy, C.Rama Chandraiah and some others who is criticizing him for his welfare schemes. Then, form his team to face the elections. He may shift the tainted ministers to some other unimportant port folios to reduce the negative effect of carrying them in the government, while providing immune from CBI prosecution.

 

His next step would be going for local body elections. It will help him to showcase his leadership qualities to the party high command as well as it can provide employment to his followers, with whom he wants to go for the elections.

 

Botsa Satyanarayana might have been asked to fully co-operate with him or else will have to loose his present PCC Chief post. The permission for inducting 9 general secretaries and 5 vice presidents into PCC is a clear indication that he was asked to concentrate on party affairs than putting nose in the day to day business of the government.
