‘Save Andhra Pradesh’ meeting details

'Save Andhra Pradesh' meeting held by AP NGOs at Vijayawada on Friday has become a grand success with more than one lakh people participation. The meeting has made it clear that the fight is not for Hyderabad alone, but for keeping the state united. It also owes to continue the agitation till the Center revokes its decision of bifurcation the state.   Chalasani Srinivas flayed TRS president KCR for sowing seeds of hatred among Telugu people with his rude statements. He said the people of the country honors Mother Theresa but couldn’t respect Sonia Gandhi, who is dividing the people. APSRTC union leader Narayana has owed to standby APNGOs’ president Ashok babu and to continue the strike till the Center changes its mind on bifurcation.   Students JAC leader Devineni Avinash has said the students are ready for any sacrifice to stop the Center from dividing the state. He is all praise to womenfolk for their determination and support in continuing the fight. He warned the T-leaders not to take the Seemandhra people for granted. They can give fitting reply to them.   Karem Shivaji has objected T-leaders quoting Dr.Ambedkar’s name for strengthening their arguments of creating Telangana state. He said Dr.Ambedkar has advised only to divide the Presidencies into smaller states on linguistic base but never suggested to divide the states that were once divided.   Several others, who spoke in the meeting, have explained about the problems that Seemandhra people would face if state is divided. They demand the Center to take the people into consideration and not the politicians or else the people are going to teach a good lesson to it in the elections.

No roll back on Telangana: Congress

Congress high command has once again made it clear that there is no change in its decision of creating Telangana state. “The forthcoming assembly elections in five states will not be an excuse to postpone the bifurcation process. Even Seemandhra MPs, Ministers resignations can’t stop the process. Telangana note will be submitted before Cabinet meeting after taking formal approval from party Chief Sonia Gandhi and PM Dr.Manmohan Singh. Once the note is approved by the Cabinet it will be forwarded to state Assembly. Later, the government will form a Group of ministers to address all the issues mentioned by the Antony Committee,” said the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Manish Tiwari yesterday to media at the end of the Cabinet meeting.   The Seemandhra Union ministers like Chiranjeevi, Pallam Raju, Killi Kriparani, Kavuri Sambhasiva rao, JD Sheelam etc, who claim themselves closely associated with Congress high command couldn’t argue that they are unaware of all these decisions taken by their party. When they are holding equivalent posts that of Manish Tiwari, who disclosed all these things, they can’t bluff the people that they were not taken into consideration by the Congress high command.   Hence, his statement makes it clear that the center is as firm as it was on the day one of its announcement on bifurcation, but the Seemandhra MPs and Union Ministers have been keep bluffing their people to escape critism.

AP NGOs to hold meeting at Vijayawada today

Media, which completely dedicates to APNGOs’ ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’ Hyderabad meeting from morning to evening, seems lost its interest in detailing today’s meeting to be held at Vijayawada. Probably, the sensational-news-hungry media might have given a wide coverage to Hyderabad meeting, because it was a showcasing of power by the Seemandhra people and considers it a confrontation between two regions. However, since there would be no such tense moments in today’s meeting, media limits its coverage time to meeting duration only.   Krishna district Samaikyandhra JAC is making elaborate arrangements for the meeting to be held at PWD grounds in Vijayawada at 4 pm Friday. They are expecting around 1 lakh people to the meeting. Several associations like Vijayawada Hoteliers’ Association, Vijayawada Chamber of Commerce, Lawyers’ Association and Indian Medical Association etc are extending their full support to this meeting.   The meeting will go on the same lines of its Hyderabad meeting, while taking review of the developments and situation between the two meetings. Apart from NGO leaders, experts will explain about the problems that may arise if the state is divided in various sectors like irrigation, agriculture, medical and education etc. The organizers of the meeting have announced that though they are keeping all political parties at same distance, if any political leader of any party wants to attend the meeting, they will be welcomed.

Filmy tale of T note.

Price rise, inflation, law and order situation would be the main focus points in the coming elections. However, the saga of Telangana might turn out to be a real decisive issue when Andhra Pradesh is concerned.   While the common man in the state continues to suffer with paralyzed administration, political leaders seems to be busy cashing in on all opportunities with selfish agendas. Even after 52 days of CWC decision, Rayalseema and Coastal Andhra continues to be paralysed with innovative protests. Heated arguments, exchange of words, name calling seems to be the norm among leaders instead of finding a solution.    The tale of T-note seems to be taking filmy twists and turns. Highly placed sources close to CM camp reveal that there is nothing to worry. "We are not expecting anything to happen soon. The note is still under process. The entire process will take atleast a month, " sources say. The same has been voiced by Seemandhra MPs who have been lobbying in Delhi.  After yet another round of meeting at war room MPs informed media that, "Digvijaya Singh assured us that cabinet note on Telangana will not be tabled until Antony Committee submits the report." Union home minister Shinde also was quick to react saying T note will not be placed in Cabinet meeting as he "has not read through it." However, home ministry sources inform that, Hyderabad is the bone of contention which is definitely giving sleep less nights to politicians.      It is a known fact that CM had made his stand clear by telling high command that there will be lot of problems if state is divided, Hyderabad being the biggest problem.  Like each trouble has a solution, Congress is looking at possible solutions to please the common man and their legislators from the state. While 10 years common capital is still on cards, sources say that home ministry is likely to propose setting up of a counsel for Hyderabad. While Telangana protagonists are crying foul, they have made their stand clear that nothing less than 10 districts with Hyderabad as capital is acceptable to them. At this stage it clearly seems like too many cooks are spoiling the Biryani. Patience running out in common man who is out on streets might not be happy to enjoy the biryani!!

Is BJP to ready for a patch-up with Yeddi

Karnataka former CM Yeddyurappa, who was forced to step down on corrupt charges also quits BJP and takes upon it in the recent Assembly elections. Though, he couldn’t win the elections he has played spoilsport against BJP. Later he regrets for coming out of BJP and hence has been desperately trying for a patch-up. He is leaving no chance to come close to it. But, his tainted political background scares BJP and keeps it away from him until now. Especially senior BJP leader LK Advani opposes his readmission into party.   However, it doesn’t stop him from trying to return to party fold. Then he changed his game plan and chooses Narendra Modi, who is named for the Prime Ministerial candidate of the party. He believes that if he can woo Modi, no one including Advani can stop his reentry into party. Yeddurappa showers praises on Modi and hints that his party supports him as PM of the country. He also states that his party is willing for poll alliance with BJP, which will be helpful to both.   It is learnt that though he is able to cut into ice, BJP do not wants to jump for him with assembly elections for the five states are round the corner. It fears any move in his favor would provide a weapon to its rivals. However, its silence is also considered to be a kind of positive response.   Despite his tainted political back ground, BJP couldn’t afford to maintain enmity with him because of the strong support powerful Lingayat community that he enjoys. Hence, BJP may make a move for a patch-up with the tainted just before the 2014 general elections, as it badly needs maximum number of MP seats to claim power at Center.

Seemandhra and T-Congress meeting in progress

A meeting between Congress ministers of both regions begins short while ago at Ministers’ quarters in Hyderabad. Ganta Srinivasa rao and Erasu Prathap Reddy from Seemandhra and K.Jana Reddy and few others from Telangana have come to attend this meeting.   The meeting is intended to develop consensus between leaders of both regions and then to chalk out the issues between Seemandhra and Telangana regions aroused of bifurcation decision. If, they could make any progress in their talks, definitely it is going to help the Congress party, rather than the people of the state. But, the rigid stand taken by leaders of both sides may not give enough scope for proceeding ahead with negotiations.   Moreover, none of them can give any assurance to the other on any issue because they don’t have backing of the people. The delay taking place in bifurcation process and the Congress high command gradual turn around on its announcement makes Telangana people fume on the Congress leaders. At the same time, Seemandhra Ministers reluctance to step down from their posts and Congress party’s determination to divide the state, makes Seemandhra people fume on the Congress leaders. Hence, the leaders who sat for meeting now with their counterparts may not afford to compromise on any issue related to bifurcation of the state.   So, the meeting may ends up without any significant developments. At the most they may unanimously agree to meet again soon.
