Why there is no time-frame for GoM

Earlier Congress party has floated Antony Committee to pacify Seemandhra agitations. It keeps bluffing the people until it pushes the T-Note in its complete form into cabinet meeting and got it approved. Hence, the Antony Committee is proved to be a dummy Committee to divert the attention and bluff the people. The Seemandhra MPs and Union Ministers, who also well aware of its intentions have played their part very well and resigns only after ensuring the T-Note was approved in the cabinet meeting.   Now, the high command comes with Group of Ministers (GoM) to deal bifurcation issue. Even now also it is not honest with it. Previously, it sets 6weeks deadline to complete its job. But, when it was criticized on how the GoM could complete such a complicated task within 6 weeks, taking advantage of this point, it has removed the deadline for GoM.   But, Shinde has a very funny answer for it. He said the deadline is removed only to complete the process at the earliest. If, the UPA government is really honest to create Telangana state, then it would have fixed a time-frame to GoM to complete its job. But, it chooses to keep its options open by not setting any time limit to GoM.   Probably, it can sit on bifurcation issue as long as it wants with this option. Perhaps, that is why Shinde is not assuring for submission of the T-Bill into Parliament during winter sessions. First, Congress party has cheated the Seemandhra people with Antony Committee. Now it might be planning to cheat Telangana people with GoM.

Is APNGOs strike is holding back bifurcation

Senior Congress leader and AICC Member PC Chacko, has stated that Telangana may form either before elections or later, but can’t exactly say the time. He also announced the time limit of 6 weeks period for GoM has been removed as wide consultations are needed on bifurcation of the state.   So, it is understood that Congress is now having second thoughts over its decision as it led to crisis situation not only in the AP state but is also now spreading to neighboring southern states. Congress high command, which until now is firmly stating that there is no question of going back on Telangana state creation, might have succumbed to pressures of APNGOs indefinite strike.   The APNGOs strike that is now coupled with electrical employees is creating acute power crisis in the state and puts all the southern states on toes. There is potential danger of failing southern electrical grid that may affect entire grids in the country. Already several train services were disrupted due to acute power crisis and many parts of Seemandhra region have gone dark for the last four days due to power crisis.   The failure of the talks between APNGOs and CM Kiran Kumar Reddy held on Wednesday and their decision to continue the strike might have forced the Congress high command to hold back its decision of bifurcation, at least for time being to pacify the striking employees and people. However, PC Chacko has suggested CM Kiran Kumar Reddy to take disciplinary action against striking employees by using ESMA.
