Why, Centre wants to present T-Bill in Rajya Sabha first

TRS leader Vinod is suspects that Congress high command is not honest in passing the T-Bill, as it is presenting the bill in Rajya Sabha first as against the tradition of submitting in Lok Sabha first. Submitting the bill in Rajya Sabha first is underlining its inability to pass the bill in Lok Sabha. Congress high command might have thought that while Rajya Sabha is debating on the bill, it can pass rest of the bills in Lok Sabha. In case if it presents the bill to Lok Sabha first and the house comes to standstill with the protests by members of different parties from AP, then it couldn’t pass crucial bills on vote-on-account.   Moreover, if presents the bill in Rajya Sabha first, it can corner BJP with it. BJP has to adopt the same stand in Lok Sabha also that it has taken in Rajya Sabha on the T-Bill. If, it supports the T-Bill, it is well and good for Congress, otherwise it can escape unhurt from this whole issue blaming BJP for not supporting the bill. It provides Congress party another escape route also. By presenting the bill in Rajya Sabha first, it can keep the bill alive. Although, Lok Sabha present term completes with the current sessions, Rajya Sabha term will never end because only a part of its members retires after every four years. So, it can tell the people that still it kept the T-Bill alive in Rajya Sabha and so, if they elect to power, it can complete the process and grant Telangana state immediately after taking charge of the government.

All usual fair like slogan shouting, Samaikyandhra songs in the back ground, displaying Placards with ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’, participants’ speeches condemning bifurcation is there to enhance the spirit of their dharna.   They will sit for dharna till evening 4pm. Later, CM Kiran Kumar Reddy accompanied by Seemandhra MPs, MLAs and Ministers will meet President Pranab Mukharji at 6pm. They will submit a memorandum appealing him not to allow the Centre to present the T-bill in the Parliament that has been rejected by state assembly with voice vote. They will explain how their party adopts an unconstitutional method to divide the state without having the consent of the people of the state. Whether their dharna has any effect on the Centre or not definitely it is considered to be a slap on face for Congress high command. If, they could convince the President with their arguments, it would be a humiliation for Centre.

Is AAP drifting away from its goal?

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal seems to be distracting from his goal. He is concentrating on his rivals rather than completing the tasks that he and his party have promised to people of Delhi in the elections. During party official bearers meeting held yesterday at Delhi he released a lengthy list of corrupt politicians and announces that AAP will put its candidates against all of them.   His list includes Rahul Gandhi, union ministers Chidambaram, Shinde, Kapil Sibal, Salman Kurshid, Veerappa Moili, Prakash Jaiswal, Kamalnath, GK Vasan, and hundred others. He also blames BJP and Congress party for spending Rs.500 crore each to create brand image for them to win the elections. He said such leaders to be defeated by the people as they are no way helpful to the country. He asked his party workers and leaders to prepare many such lists so as Aam Admi party can put its candidates against every corrupt politician.   Arvind Kejriwal may be correct. There may be hundreds and thousands of corrupt politicians in the country, but it doesn’t mean that he and his party leaders alone are clean and honest. There is Vinod Kumar Binny, AAP MLA, who revolts against him and his government for not giving him minister post in his cabinet. However he alleges that Arvind Kejriwal and his government is drifting away from its goal and fails to address the problems that it has promised to people of Delhi. So, if Arvind Kejriwal and his party could concentrate on implementing their poll promises rather than downgrading their party standards, it may be helpful for his party.
