Shabbir Ali hits back at KCR

      The Congress back lash has begun. After TRS stating that it would go alone in the elections and not have any alliance with Congress or anyone , former Minister for Energy, Coal, Minorities Welfare, Congress leader from Telangana, Mohammed Ali Shabbir has gone on attack on the TRS party and its leader K.Chandrasekhar Rao. Calling him a liar who has been lying to the public all the while and also called him a “Pittala Dora” ,he also went on to say that KCR had no say and has not even asked for any revison or amendment when the Telangana Bill was put forth in the Parliament and that everyone knew who was actually responsible for the T Bill to be passed. In the coming elections the people of Telangana would teach him a lesson and that the Congress was ready for the coming elections and would take him on in all the 119 seats .

Will Governor let Jagan visit Telangana?

  Jagan Mohan Reddy’s proposed public meeting at Kammam and Odarpu Yatra (OY) in Nalgonda draws huge protests from all Telangana leaders. While some T-Congress leaders like V Hanumantha rao and Ponnam Prabhakar have appealed Governor Narasimhan not to allow him for touring in Telangana, some others gave bandh call for tomorrow in Kammam district protesting his arrival. However, Jagan Mohan Reddy is determined to conduct the meeting OY in Telangana.   He seems wisely use the opportunity of prevailing situation of the state (President’s Rule). Governor Narasimhan soon after taking charge of the state has warned all political parties not to conduct any dharnas or rallies. He said he will not tolerate anyone, who creates law and order problem. Since, there is no prohibition on public meetings and conducting OYs, Jagan takes advantage of the prevailing situation to conduct his meeting and OY. He is expecting that Governor may not allow anyone to disturb his meetings and OY. But, will the Governor asks T-leaders to stay away from his meeting or deny permission to Jagan is to be known soon.

Governor revokes Kiran’s decisions

  Governor Narasimhan makes the people and political parties feel his presence felt in no time after President’s Rule imposed on the state. He is revoking many decisions taken by former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy. He asked all those Chairmen nominated by Kiran to quit their posts voluntarily. KC Reddy, Chairman of Rajeev Yuva Kiranalu project is first to quit the post and many others are likely to follow him.   Next, he cancels the GO issued by Kiran Kumar Reddy that makes his close aide Surendar as Registrar of Co-Operative Societies. Governor shunts him back to APIIC from where he comes as executive director. He is also considering to review several files cleared by Kiran Kumar Reddy before his exit.

Jayaprakash welcomes Pawan into Loksatta

  The day a press note from Pawan Kalyan’s office came out all political parties are rolling red carpets to him. Loksatta party, which believes it’s clean and very different from the other parties, has also roles a red carpet to Pawan Kalyan. Its national president Jayaprakash Narayan speaking to media yesterday said “We are ready to welcome him into our party, if he is interested. A person of such caliber should not remain silent or ignore the political situation of the state. He should take active part in politics and inspire others to follow him. I think this right time for him to join active politics. We hope he will join us.”   Gali Muddhu Krishnam Naidu, senior TDP leader also welcomes Pawan Kalyan into party. He said that Pawan Kalyan, who is aware of TDP honesty and ability, may prefers to join it.   However, all political parties have to wait until next week to know what his plans are. If he prefers to join TDP or Loksatta parties, it will be blessing for them. If seen his reserved nature, it can be understand that he may not jump for any party right now, but may extend his support to either of these parties and obviously his fans also extend their support to that particular party. If so, definitely it is going to change the political parties’ fate.

Is Pawan Kalyan to support for TDP?

    A press note released from power star Pawan Kalyan’s office yesterday, triggers a new debate and speculations on his political entry. The note says that he will speak to media in March 2nd week over the current politics of the state. There is nothing else mentioned in the note. However, the note makes the social media busy discussing and speculating about his political entry. The general opinion in large is that he may launch his own political party. Many believe that he may support TDP, which alone is not connected to Congress that divides the state, However, they are all just predictions and nothing else.   However, Pawan Kalyan may not opt for launching a political party as he understood the adversities of it. The bitter experience that he faces in promoting his brother Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam party may hold him back from launching a political party. Even if he wants to launch his political party, he doesn’t have sufficient time left for it. So, chances are to extend his support to TDP or give a call to his fans asking to form groups to educate the illiterates from voting to wrong parties and leaders. If, he supports TDP it will come as a blessing for it.

Errabelli likely to join Congress?

  TDP Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar rao has resigned to his post today. He sent his resignation letter to Chandrababu a short while ago. The reasons for his resignations are that Chandrababu, who is planning to form separate committee for Telangana soon is said to be picked MLA L.Ramana as its head. If sources are to be believed, Errabelli is likely to quit party and planning to join Congress party. Errabelli and some others cling to TDP, hoping that one day they will get a chance to lead the party in Telangana as its President. So, it’s quite natural they upset if they didn’t get a chance. TDP seniors are trying to convince him not to leave the party.

Will Babu Plan work out in Telangana?

  It is evident that TDP is worst hit in Telangana due to its ‘Equal Justice’ stand taken by it. Moreover, Chandrababu’s efforts to stop the T-Bill also sent a wrong message to the people of Telangana. However, the state is divided and general elections are also fast approaching. So, Chandrababu has to do something to ensure that his party at least retains all its seats, though it can’t overpower Congress and TRS in the upcoming elections.   Therefore, Chandrababu Naidu has come-up with an idea to win the SC and BC voters, who form majority vote bank in Telangana. He offered to make SC candidate as Chief Minister of Telangana state, if people elects TDP. He said TDP alone is proved to be a perfect platform for all communities and gives equal opportunity to SCs and BCs. He also said that development activities will kick starts only if TDP comes into power. He said that entrepreneurs may not show interest to invest in Telangana, if Congress or TRS parties form the government. But, will his offer and arguments convince the people of Telangana at all, who are now under the influence of TRS and T-Congress parties? Perhaps, Chandrababu may know their feed-back with the upcoming municipal elections.

President approves T-Bill

  Today President Pranab Mukharji has cleared two vital proposals made by UPA government. The first one is imposing President’s Rule on the state and the second is passing the AP Reorganization bill-2014 that was passed by Parliament recently.   President’s Rule will come into effect in the state soon after a letter intimating the same reaches state Governor Narasimhan. It is expected to reach him anytime today. So, state will go under President’s Rule from tonight. The last time President’s rule imposed on the state was 41 years ago.   A Gazette notification announcing creation of Telangana as 29th state in India is expected to release today evening. If sources are to be believed, the notification will also have the ‘appointed day’ of Telangana state formation. Telangana will officially separates from residuary Andhra Pradesh state exactly on the appointed day.

Congress in Catch -22 situation

With the Presidential Rule in AP confirmation and the Parliament approved T Bill pending at the President’s Desk , the political situation in Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a calm before the storm! Politicians are carefully weighing their pros and cons before changing loyalties. The TRS party has gone into a silent mode about their merger with the Congress Party and the Congress party time and again issues feeble statements that the merger is on and only the issue of the seat sharing needs to be discussed. If the electoral alliance is not carried out it will be a major electoral loss in the T elections for the Congress. Meanwhile the TRS leaders are playing hard to get and are in no mood for an alliance as they stand a chance of being a strong regional party based on the T sentiment. There is no official statement from their side as yet. Sidelined and disgruntled, Vijayasanthi has joined the Congress, but whether she is going to be strong contender in the polls and bring any luck to the Congress depends on whom the people are going to vote for. Congress is also looking at a possibility of Rahul Gandhi shifting his constituency from Amethi to Medak which is another strong reason for pushing the T bill. It is a known fact that Indira Gandhi contested both from Rai Barelly and Medak and won both but vacated her seat in Rai Barelly in favour of Arun Nehru and represented Medak constituency from 1980 till 1984, before she was assassinated. This is yet to be clarified by the Congress Party though it was in talks for some time. The Prajarajyam Party merger with Congress episode seems to be deterring the TRS from entering into an alliance with the Congress, as it was quite evident that the party lost everything and the leaders were left in the lurch after the merger. Something that the TRS can’t afford to risk and lose with the people’s sentiment and support at stake. The merger could also be a problem for the Congress as it would affect their chances in the Seemaandhra elections with people there against Congress for allowing the bifurcation of the State- so it’s a Catch- 22 situation for the Congress .

Tom n Jerry show by Tamil parties

  Tamilnadu state politics always revolves around two parties-DMK and AIADMK. While Karunanidhi leads DMK, TN Chief Minister Jayalalitha leads the other. They keep their Tom and Jerry show continues for years, to be precise for decades.   Since, Jayalalitha joins the recently formed Third Front and giving all signs of her interest to become Prime Minister using this platform, Karunanidhi takes no time to jump for Narendra Modi. Just few weeks ago, when BJP approached him, he categorically told that he is not interested to go along with them. But, not even after his beautiful enemy-Jayalalitha dreaming to play bigger role at National level.   This grand old man, who can’t even stand on his feet, wants to play spoilsport to stop her from growing any higher position. So, he quickly jumps for Modi and BJP and says “The way he (Narendra Modi) is rigorously campaigning for the party is revealing that he is a hard worker.”   Then, replying to a media question about having poll alliance or supporting BJP, he said “Cannot speculate and tell what will be the situation after the Lok Sabha polls.” He also condemned media branding BJP as communal party.   So, he gives all positives signs about his party readiness to extend support to BJP led NDA alliance after the elections. This is first positive sign that BJP got down the south in the recent times. And his statement has also closed doors on Congress, which is anxiously waiting for old man’s nod. So, Congress can’t put its leg in Tamilnadu as ruling AIADMK is boarding Third Front and wants to grab all the MP seats to itself, while DMK is ready to go along with Modi led BJP.

Kiran Ditching Followers ?

There had been a huge buzz among people about CM Kiran Kumar Reddy starting his own political party after his resignation. In fact he made an announcement on this too. Kiran was against the bifurcation of AP and moved a no confidence motion against the ruling party. His 'Dharna' at Jantar Mantar became the talk of the town too. A group of ministers quit the party with Kiran and seems like Kiran is going to dump them, according to sources.The other version being Kiran not having faithful followers also. It is heard that Kiran is not set to start his own party right now. This in turn implies that his followers are stranded in the middle of a deep ocean. They are currently helpless and the only worthy and loyal savior available would be Telugu Desam Party. If rumors are to believed, some of these stranded ministers are planning to join TDP citing that their future is a question mark right now. Let us keep our fingers crossed and see what happens !!!

Congress fails President rules AP

The Cabinet Committee has competed its meeting and has decided for the President Rule in Andhra Pradesh .Ministers P Chidambaram and Manish Tiwari are going to give a formal announcement shortly. The Congress have failed to choose an interim leader to head the Government till the elections are called for with no worthy person to head the state and the very evident lack of unity among the AP Congress leaders which is a major cause of embarrassment for them.   After a similar situation in 1973 this is the second time in 41 years that this the Presidents’ Rule imposed on the State. A very crucial decision which will have major effects on the future elections and if the Assembly elections are called for earlier Congress has to act fast and start liaisons with the TRS and MIM parties. This is going to be a trying time for the Congress party to pull up its image in the two states and if the Assembly elections are called for earlier they better pull their boots fast.

Will it be President Rule in AP ?

    With the resignation of Chief Minister C Kiran Kumar Reddy , there is havoc in the formation of a new government. Along with Kiran, even the party members are protesting against the bifurcation of AP. It is heard from sources that the high command of the ruling party are planning to postpone the formation of a new government even though there is a majority. Assembly polls in the state is likely to take place along with the Lok Sabha Polls.   In the meanwhile, President's rule is likely to be introduced in the state. It seems like the Union Cabinet will take a decision on this today since Governor ESL Narasimhan has recommended for the central rule. On the other hand, a lot of Congress MLAs and ministers are resigning in a row as a sign of dissatisfaction on the bifurcation of the state. We need to wait for a final decision from the ruling party to understand what is the fate of governance in the state.

Two crucial meetings in progress

  Two crucial meetings are taking place in two political parties in different places. The first one is between Sonia Gandhi and party state political in-charge Digvijay Singh, Home Minister Shinde and Ahmad Patel at New Delhi. According to reports, they have discussed about imposing President’s Rule on the state, as chances for forming government at state are blink. It is learnt that they are convinced to impose President’s Rule on the state. Final decision will be taken in the cabinet meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh tomorrow at his residence.   Currently, TRS president KCR is holding a meeting with his party leaders in his farm house in Medak district. They are discussing about merger/poll alliance with Congress party. Although, KCR is willing for merger, it is reported that majority of the party leaders are opposing any such idea. Party senior leader Harish rao is not even willing for poll alliance with Congress party. So, KCR is taking a final call on his party leaders on this issue.   So, by tomorrow we will be able to know whether President’s Rule is imposed on the state or not. TRS will merge or opt for poll alliance with Congress or completely snap ties with it or not. These two major developments will have chain reactions in state politics.

TG Venkatesh ready to join TDP soon

  TG Venkatesh, who until yesterday was seen in Kiran Reddy’s camp, has deserted him after confirming about his exit from party and post. He also jumped out of Congress, as he believes it a sinking ship. Yesterday, he declared that he is returning to TDP, which he deserted after 2004 elections to join Congress party. However, TDP has not acknowledged his statement. Perhaps, he might be bargaining on party ticket. His returning may strengthen the party in Kurnool, but his arrogant and factionist attitude is definitely lands TDP in big troubles, if admits him. He is threatening to shred blood, if Kurnool is not made new Capital of residuary Andhra Pradesh state. So, inviting such leaders into party is just inviting trouble.

Am I dancing to Sonia Tunes? Asks Kiran

  Kiran Kumar Reddy is conducting series of meetings with different groups as a part of preparations for launching his new political party. Today, he spoke to some youth arrived from different places of 13 Seemandhra districts. After explaining about the problems and consequences of bifurcation, he softly ejected his fury on his high command. He never let his tongue slips against Sonia or Rahul or anyone in his high command. He cautiously chose his words while attacking Sonia Gandhi and Congress party.   Later, he turned his guns upon a media and flayed it for tarnishing his reputation with its false and baseless stories. “Particular media writes that I cling to my post and party following Sonia Gandhi orders. It also writes that Congress is helping me in launching the new party, where as I am the one who is fighting with my party and high command from the day one. If, I want to settle for a comfortable position in the party, I need not to do all this. I can get suitable rewards, if I would have followed high command’s instructions. I am not the one like those ministers, who are queuing-up for CM post. I sacrificed my post and party opposing my party decision. I promise you to continue my fight against bifurcation in the courts. I am planning to launch new party only to safeguard the interests of the people and not for my personal gains,” said Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Congress is unable to form government

  Congress high command couldn’t come to any conclusion on whether to form new government in the state or impose President’s Rule. Actually, it is expected to announce its new CM’s name today, but drops the idea in the last minute. Perhaps, it steps back because it doesn’t have required number of MLAs support to form the government. Since, it couldn’t strike any deal with TRS over merger or poll alliance, it is not sure about its support. So, the only option left for it is imposing President’s Rule on the state. However, it is giving media leaks, stating that it is not interested to form the government as there is hardly two months’ time left for general elections. However, it is trying to buy time by holding meetings with its leaders. Although, all of they are agreed to obey, Congress high command’s orders, it is forced to stay away from power as it lack of sufficient MLAs support. Hence, Chiranjeevi’s dream to sit in the CM Chair becomes a day dream.

Will Yellow change in to tri-color?

    The dust has settled with the T bifurcation and we now we have our politicians running helter- skelter and weighing their options as to which party should they join for sustaining their political careers. Out of the many we have our Tadipatri ex. Congress leader J. C. Diwakar Reddy who has had fallout with the Congress and went on to the extent of calling Madam Sonia as mentally ill- is now busy wooing the TDP! He was shown the door by YSRC party Jagan Mohan Reddy and now he has reached the doors of the Telugu Desam Party.   It’s a known fact that the Paritala family who are long standing TDP loyalists and the JC family have had a long standing bad blood after the murder of Paritala Ravi and him being one of the co-accused which of course was dismissed by the CBI and he was let off. Paritala Sunitha has strongly opposed this move to take JC and his brother along with Payyavula Keshav, MLC Govind Reddy and ex-MP Kaluva Srinivasulu. It has also been told to Mr Naidu by the TDP activists from Tadipatri that the amount of bloodshed that has been spilt by the faction between the JC brothers and TDP party activists is a clear indication that he is not wanted in the TDP. We need to see what call the TDP Supremo would take regarding this.   Another unwanted entrant into the TDP is Mandali Buddha Prasad- who has had a strong legacy of Congress loyalty including his father Mr Mandali Venkata Krishna a Congress MP and leader himself. His home constituency Avanigadda has witnessed a sea change in the political equations and surprisingly he has shifted his loyalty from Congress to TDP. TDP has always enjoyed a strong loyalty by its party workers at the all the cadre levels and with these new faces from outside, has left the party workers disgruntled and apprehensive about the adulteration in the party ethics and code.   As said earlier the political disturbances in the state have seen many long standing loyalists change colours for a prolonged political life. It now remains to see how Mr Naidu will avoid discoloration of his party and hope that desperation doesn’t set in!

Hyderabad –The New Pink City

      Telangana Rashtra Samiti Chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao’s Hyderabad entry after Telangana bifurcation may be delayed by two hours but that hasn’t stopped his supporters from preparing a special ratham or chariot for him to ride till Gun Park, women making special floral bathukammas, poornakumbham by the Telangana Brahmins and horses and camels and bike rallies – a welcome befitting the arrival of a king. The city has suddenly turned so pink with the welcome banners and hoardings all over the place, which might give Hyderabad the title of the next Pink city in India apart from Jaipur. The upcoming rally has left the citizens terrified about the traffic diversions and schools have closed or are closing half day. The utmost fear was in the MMTS stations where even a 15 minute delay in the train arriving had people thinking if the trains were stopped by the TRS party cadres. Thankfully it’s still South Central Railways. Any kind of rallies, walks or yatras are petrifying the people of Andhra Pradesh where an alternate travel mode, to traffic diversions, to how are the children going to reach home safely has become the fear factor for that day. The recent AP High Court's strict directions to remove the illegal Flexi banners has gone to the wind with every signal point and hoarding turning pink for his welcome. Looks like today’s TRS 4 – hour Welcome rally at  4 PM will be the much  hyped rally after bifurcation- something that might even beats Gandhij’s pre independence rallies –only this time it’s for the Telangana Gandhi!
