Vundavalli may contest from Malkajgiri

  Vundavalli Arun Kumar, the former Congress MP from Rajhamundry, who joins Jai Samaikyandhra Party, has positively responded to its President Kiran Kumar Reddy’s proposal to contest from Malkajgiri for Lok Sabha. If, party asks me contest from there, I am ready to contest, said Vundavalli. So far, A.Revanth Reddy, Motkupalli Narasimhulu from TDP, Jayaprakash Narayan of Lok Satta, sitting Congress MP Sarve Satyanarayana are ready to contest from Malkajgiri for Lok Sabha. So, if Vundavalli also joins them then there would be a very tough fight between them.

Shekar Kammula also disappointed with Pawan

  So far, only politicians are reacting on Pawan Kalyan’s speech given in his Vizag meeting. But, now people film industry are also reacting on his speech. Director Shekar Kammula said that he is very much disappointed with his speech and believe it is very confusing one. He said it is not correct to encourage people to turn rebellion to counter injustice. He opined that launching a political party is not necessary to declare his support to a particular person. He also opined that there is no clarity in his speech.

Cong. leader threatens to twist Pawan hands

  There is no surprise Ponnam Prabhakar being a true Congress leader practicing its well proved ideas to nab their political rivals. He threatens Janasena party president Pawan Kalyan to lodge a complaint against him with RBO over his disproportionate assets and his film earnings that have no accounts. “Pawan Kalyan not even knows basics of the politics. But, he talks rubbish against our party,” said Ponnam.

TRS leader Ibrahim joins Congress

  TRS leader Ibrahim, who recently quits party, has joined Congress party today in the presence of TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah today. He left TRS party after KCR denying party ticket to him. ‘There is no value to the workers and leaders, who carry the party flag and fights for Telangana on its behalf. 99 per cent of the party members have same opinion. I appeal all of them to leave TRS immediately. I am sure TRS will disappear after the elections.”

Chandrababu decodes Pawan’s suggestions

  Power star Pawan Kalyan has left his fans in big dilemma instead of making clear of his party stand over supporting other parties. Though he salutes Narendra Modi in his speech, he did not ask his fans to vote for BJP. Though, he suggests to vote for a party that is capable to reconstruct the state, he did not specifically mentioned TDP’s name. So, he left the decision to his fans. But, BJP and TDP have perfectly catches his signals and take the pains to decode his suggestions for the sake of his fans and of course for rest of the people also.   Chandrababu Naidu in his recent speech at a party meeting said “I thank Pawan Kalyan for recognizing our ability to build the state and for suggesting the people to vote for us. Actually, I have suggested him long ago not to launch political party that will help only to split the votes and that creates instability in the state. However, he takes a wise decision not to contest elections and advising people to vote for TDP.   A senior BJP leader in Telangana, while participating in TV debate over Pawan Kalyan’s speech, strongly takes his side and defended him for supporting Narendra Modi. So, it appears Pawan Kalyan has changed his mind and dropped from elections race only after Modi and Chandrababu have advised him not to contest in the elections.   Perhaps, he not even openly declares his support to BJP or TDP because he might have faced extreme pressures from his brother Chiranjeevi and his Congress party or someone else, who is very powerful. However, it is enough for TDP and BJP to convince the people that Pawan is asking them to vote for their parties only.

TDP in Fix over Vijayawada seat

  Vijayawada Lok Sabha seat is one of the main issues that become major hurdle in the poll alliance between TDP and BJP. Chandrababu Naidu long ago has allotted it to Kesineni Nani, leaving Vallabhaneni Vamshi very disappointed. However, now Kesineni Nani is also very much worried with BJP demand for Vijayawada Lok Sabha seat.   Keseneni has spent huge amounts on campaigning and social service activities believing that his seat is confirmed. But, BJP is insisting it as a part of seat sharing for poll alliance with TDP, as former Union Minister D.Purandeswari, who recently joined BJP has chosen Vijayawada as her second choice.   Added to his fears, Komati Jayaram, a NRI from Mylavaram, who are supported by a group of leaders in TDP, is also asking for Vijayawada Lok Sabha ticket. All these developments are giving Keseneni Nani sleepless nights. He is insisting Chandrababu Naidu not to promise his seat to any one or any party. So, TDP is also walking tight rope on this seat.

Will TRS form a Kitchen Cabinet in T ?

        After the bifurcation each party is creating its own hullabaloo – Parties like Congress says they brought in the state of T and TDP saying that they opposed it and BJP somewhere in between says it’s because of their intervention it happened.     The votes as per regions vary with who brought it and who opposed it. Now with the lone TRS MPs KCR and Vijayasanthi not speaking a word during the tabling of the bill in the parliament, sat to watch the whole show and have finally shown an empty hand to the Congress when it came to forming an alliance which they backed out. It’s the question of having a piece of the cake and eating it but not being a part when it comes to baking it. It goes to see if they can be the sole regional party in the Telangana region claiming the interests of the Telangana people. But they are still trying to figure out their nominations and candidates for the Assembly and Lok Sabha seats. The TRS  leader, his son and daughter and nephew have their ticket nominations in place. He will contest from Medak Lok Sabha seat, son K T Rama Rao will contest from Sircilla assembly constituency, while nephew Harish Rao will fight from Siddipet and daughter Kavitha will make her political debut from Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency. But they don’t see anything wrong in the whole family being in the fray. KCR has completely ignored the demand for tickets from some family members of those who committed suicide during the agitation Senior leaders like Kesava Rao and Kadiam Srihari are two lone  BC and SC faces of the TRS and the rest are obscure politicians who have no real strength or charisma . Telangana JAC  chief Kodandaram has been completely sidelined and he had snubbed KCR’s offer to contest and has declared that T JAC will not contest in polls but only be an active supporter of the cause of Telangana.   119 assembly and 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in 10 districts including Hyderabad and the deadline is April 30th . Countdown begins…  

Poll sops for women by TDP

      The TDPs Mahila Garjana held in Vijayawada yesterday saw the Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu announcing his promises to the women of Andhra Pradesh if voted to power.   As per his party manifesto he spoke of implementing new schemes for women's welfare and empowerment. Taking the party founder Late NT Rama Rao’s name as the true leader who had conceptualized  reforms for woman during his regime announced this year as 'Women's Year' and many schemes would be implemented for the welfare, health employability and security of women . A healthcare scheme for mother and child called 'Pandanti Bidda' (a healthy baby) under which the government would pay Rs 10,000 to a mother for a period of six months after the delivery for her nutrition and well being. Speaking against the Congress whom he said had totally failed to protect women despite the Nirbhaya Act being implemented the instances of rape continues till date. He promised a toll free number where they could call in case of emergency and local Police officers would come to help them and he would personally monitor those numbers. He said the Women's Reservation Bill had not been passed due to various political reasons and that his party would fight for passage of the bill in parliament. He promised to waive the loans of the Self Help Groups and said that the Congress had failed to address the issues of the SHGS who fell into the death trap.

SC makes Gavaskar as BCCI President

  Little Master Sunil Gavaskar has been given charge of BCCI as its President during IPL-7 series. Supreme Court, which starts the trail of the match fixing cases today has entrusted the top post to Sunil Gavaskar. However, the current vice president of BCCI will act as its president till IPL-7 series commences. Sunil Gavaskar will take charge as BCCI President will decide whether to continue the IPL-7 CEO Sundar Raman.   Gavaskar will handle all the matters and issues related to IPL-7 series as BCCI President, said the apex court. Supreme Court also gave nod for the two tainted teams Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings to play in the IPL-7 series. It also declares that there are no restrictions on any player of any team. However, the apex court rejects current BCCI President N. Srinivasan’s appeal to continue in his post. The court declares the series will commences as per the schedule and there is no change or restrictions on it.

Will Educate People: Pawan Kalyan

  The first question that Pawan Kalyan has received after launching his political party is about its credibility. Many including Telangana Jagruthi President Kavitha, in context of Chiranjeevi’s PrajaRajyam failure, has predicted that Janasena is also going to disappear after the elections. Replying to them, Pawan Kalyan in his speech, said that he is not launching the party to become CM or for power. It is only to fight on behalf of people. So the predictions about party disappearing after elections are rubbish. It will fight against the people’ representatives, who fails to fulfill their elections promises.”   Pawan Kalyan on his return to Hyderabad on Friday morning, replying to a media question said, “I have launched Janasena party to educate the people about current political situation and the role they have to play in the elections. I may not campaign for any one unless I am sure about his honesty to serve the people.”

Congress playing Mind Game or Desperate?

  All the T-Congress leaders including TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah have expressed full confidence of winning the elections and forming of the first government in Telangana. Wearing bold faces, they also announced that they do not want poll alliance with TRS and nor they are desperate for it. However, Congress high command has never endorsed their statements, instead AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh keep telling that the Congress doors are still open for TRS, even when TRS shuts its doors on his face.   TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah, who returns from New Delhi yesterday, also now start singing chorus with his high command over having poll alliance with TRS. He said that he is still waiting for TRS to respond to his proposals for poll alliance.   But, TRS leader Harish rao speaking to media has said “Congress party is playing mind games with us by repeatedly telling the media that we are negotiating with them over poll alliance. They are doing so in a bid to misguide the people of Telangana and our leaders. But, that poll alliance-chapter was closed long ago and there is no scope for any negotiations with Congress party.”   Harish rao seems to correctly judge the Congress idea behind its media statements. Congress high command is very much aware that it can’t face and win the elections in a direct fight with TRS, TDP and BJP. So, the beleaguered Congress is trying to distract its rivals with this idea. At the same time it is also trying to attract rival parties’ leaders into it, by projecting itself larger than life size. But, all its attempts clearly revels that it lacks self-confidence and badly need the helping hand of TRS party to pass the elections test.

TDP Mahila Garjana in Vijayawada

      The stage has been set for TDP s Mahila Garjana- the first of its kind in this elections of 2014. A lot of importance is being given to this event in Vijaywada as it is said that Chandrababu Naidu is said to declare some important poll sops for the Women of AP. He will lead a 2 hour rally to the point of event where he will address the crowd. The late NTR’s hometown district, Vijayawada is a strong hold of the TDP party. Huge crowds are coming in from Mylavaram, Gannavaram, Nuziveedu and other surrounding places and an estimated 1 lakh crowd mostly women are expected to come to the rally. TDP leaders including Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao, Maganti Babu, P Anuradha are overseeing the arrangements of the event which is to be held in Vijayawada.This event could have an underlying effect on the coming Municipal polls which are to be conducted also.

TDP-BJP likely to enter poll alliance

    It appears, BJP and TDP have finally come to a conclusion over seat sharing and may announce poll alliance between two parties in a day or two. BJP senior leader Prakash Jawdekar has just arrived at Hyderabad to finalize the seat sharing issues with TDP.   According to reports, TDP is said to be agreed to offer 45 MLA seats and 8MP seats to BJP in Telangana, which is almost double the previous figures. If, they could strike a deal at Telangana, which stood as a major hurdle in their poll alliance, it will make their task easy in Seemandhra, where BJP is not that much interested.   If, they could strike a deal, automatically it will seize the chances for YCP that is dreaming to have poll alliance with BJP. If TDP and BJP could enter into poll alliance in both states, it not only alter the political strengths of parties in both states, but may also adversely effect on the electoral chances of TRS, Congress and YCP. If, Pawan Kalyan also joins their alliance, obviously they will have edge over the rest in both states.

Gavaskar Likely to succeed Srinivasan

  Supreme Court has asked BCCI President N. Srinivasan to step down from his post immediately or else it warned him that it will be compelled to issue orders for his removal. He was asked to quit in connection with spot-fixing charges leveid against his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan. Though, Srinivasan is reluctant to quit his post, a day after consultations with legal experts, he agreed to quit. Then, Supreme Court has asked the Government to appoint veteran cricketer Sunil Gavaskar in his place. Sunil Gavaskar, who is overwhelmed with apex court’s proposal said that being opening bats’ man, he is ready to take charge as President of BCCI, if court orders him to do so. If he could succeed Srinivasan, it would be a new beginning for BCCI as Gavaskar has the true spirits of a player and is the right person who can justify the top post of India cricket.

What the Congress plans to do

    As part of the Congress Manifesto 2014 the Party has given a few “to do” things listed out. Presenting a few of them.   Democratisation of Information" is our next goal. It will revolutionise service delivery, citizen interface and accountability. "Aapka Paisa Aapka Haath" platform will ensure time bound delivery of benefits and prevent corruption. All Panchayats will be connected with high-speed broadband connectivity and advanced wireless communication systems will be set up for better disaster management. "The Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Bill" will give more teeth to state-agencies fighting corruption. The "Prevention of Bribery of Foreign Public Officials and Officials of Public International Organizations Bill, 2011" will bring foreign organizations under its ambit. The "Public Procurement Bill, 2012" will regulate all public procurements by the Central government. Recommendations of the Administrative Reforms Commission will be implemented in letter and spirit. A special monitoring system will be put in place for timely disposal of all cases involving elections. The Judicial Appointments Bill and the Judicial Accountability Bill will establish a transparent method of appointing judges. We will work towards decriminalizing consensual sexual relations between adults of the same-sex. Left Wing Extremism will be dealt with a firm hand. We will strengthen our security forces deployed in LWE affected areas by augmenting equipment, infrastructure and manpower, while also pursuing a development agenda to empower locals. We shall work towards giving a fresh impetus to our existing manufacturing capabilities, while also exploring new avenues for expansion of military potential. We will also establish a "National Commission for Ex-Servicemen" to oversee implementation of welfare schemes meant for families of Ex-Servicemen. We will strive to mobilize support for India's permanent membership in the UN Security Council. To counter terrorism, we will focus on intelligence sharing, cutting out financial flows to terrorist outfits, and stopping money laundering.
