Avanigadda Congress veteran for TDP

      Veteran Congress leaders and former Minister Mandali Buddha Prasad in the YSR cabinet and DCCB Chairman Pinnamaneni Venkateshwara Rao have left their long standing strong hold of the Congress Party and are joining the TDP.   In the Avanigadda constituency where Mr. M Buddha Prasad has been a Congress veteran and two time legislator, was forced to join after days of procrastination for the sake of his son Mr Venkataram's political career. This move was highly opposed by the sitting TDP MLA Mr Srihari Prasad and to curb that move he had brought in a Congress leader M Krishna Rao into the fray of Avanigadda politics.This has made it a hotbed for politcial rivalry as there are now two TDP people in the fray with Mr Naidu trying to appease both the sides and ease tensions. The other Congress leader P Venkateshwara Rao and former education minister in the YSR cabinet whose family have been highly influential in the Krishna Delta regions for decades had decided to join the Telugu Desam party. These two moves will have  a seemingly high impact on the Krishna district politics and both are expected to join the TDP in the presence of TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada today.

AP in 1st place for Poll-related cash seizures

      Andhra Pradesh has something to be really mortified about. Cheap liquor flows in hundreds of liters. Gone are the days of the humble biriyani with brandy packages. Our leaders are leaving no stone unturned to lure the new-age voters.   The ongoing vigilance and seizure of election related cash, liqueur, cheap liquor, gold, silver,  Gutka packets  for the men folk  and special sops for female voters which include sarees, gas cylinders, artificial jewelry, steel utensils , coolers ,TV sets and other fancy items  is increasing by the day. The  unaccounted poll-related cash  and other items like gold, silver and liqueur seized by the authorities after the Election Code of Conduct came into place is more that a staggering Rs. 80  Crore. Now with the back-to back Municipal, MPTC and ZTPC polls along with the Assembly and Parliamentary elections happening, it has become a tough task for the Election officials to keep a tab on the movement of the cash and other items going around the State. Additional forces have been steeped up to prevent these activities. Now the heights of innovating political bribing targeting the youth, reached its peaks when the owner of Kesineni Travels, Kesineni Nani and another leader’s house was raided - hundreds of cricket kits were seized and these Kits had the pictures of both the Assembly and local body candidates printed on it. Now someone needs to give them a lesson on being discreet.  By the end of the polls looks like the Police and vigilance and Income tax departments coffers will be full till those who come back to claim them with proper documentation. As usual the State Election Office has called for a meeting on March 27th to discuss how to curb these inflows and we have to wait and see how much would have piled up before that.  

Staggering Rs10,000 Crore Bail for Sahara chief !

      The Supreme Court bench consisting of Justice K S Radhakrishnan and J S Khehar,have pronounced an order that the Sahara Chief Subrata Roy should pay a sum of RS 10,000 Crore for a conditional Bail. This could probably be the highest bail amount paid by anyone in the country till date. This amount has to be deposited with SEBI and he can pay RS 5,ooo crore in cash and furnish the rest as a bank guarantee. Now this proposal has been accepted by him and he has promised to pay a sum of RS 2500 crore as cash deposit  and the rest of the amount in installments. We could say that this  is a brilliant way to make the Sahara Chief cough up at least part of the Rs 20,000 crore due to SEBI .

Pawan Fans become Janasena workers

  Power star Pawan Kalyan has launched his Janasena party few days ago, but not yet formed the party executive body or party base until now. Hence, his fans shoulders the responsibility of making arrangement for his first public meeting to be held at Indira Priyadrashini Auditorium, Vizag on tomorrow evening. They are trying to mobilize the people, especially youth and students from surrounding, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, East and West Godavari districts. According to information, Pawan Kalyan’s managers have arranged some busses for this purpose. If, Pawan Kalyan is keen to contest in the elections, then he has to announce his party stand on poll alliance with BJP and TDP. He has to reveal his party poll strategy also. Then, he has to build party from grass root levels. So, Pawan Kalyan’s tomorrow’s meeting is considered to be very significant for Janasena.

Chiranjeevi Hatav.. State Bachaao! RGV

  People of the state are aware of Ram Gopal Varma’s interest to direct Chiranjeevi. Earlier, he has proposed some names also for their film, but Chiranjeevi ignores him. Later, he shifted his interests to Pawan Kalyan and has been boasting him through his tweet messages. Varma is the one, who strongly supports his political entry and expressed his solidarity all the way. But, he opposed his move to meet Narendra Modi. Dismayed with his move, Varma asks “How Pawan Kalyan thought to meet Modi, who have not even 10 per cent of his popularity?”   However, Varma now aims his guns at Chiranjeevi. He posted a tweet that he received from a mega fan recently. @Pawan Kalyan: “congress hataav desh bachaav… chiranjeevi hataav raashtr bachaav” (sic).   Posting this tweet clearly hints that Varma is now opposing Chiranjeevi and his Congress party. Perhaps, no one may object him if he opposes Congress party, but not when he wants chase out Chiranjeevi from state. Probably, Varma already might have felt the mega heat for his tweet.

Errabelli shocker to Krishnaiah

  Few days ago, media was abuzz with the reports that TDP President Chandrababu Naidu has decided to make R.Krishnaiah, president of BC Associations as first Chief Minister of Telangana. He also speaks accordingly and joins TDP yesterday. He also gave a call to BCs to vote for TDP only to ensure a person from their community become Chief Minister.   However, T-TDP senior leader Errabelli Dayakar rao gave a shocker to him. Speaking to media he said “TDP has not declared Krishnaiah as CM Candidate of the party. He was asked to campaign for the party.”   Obviously, Krishnaiah may fume with his statement and no surprise even if insist Chandrababu officially declare his name as party CM Candidate. If he obliges, it may create havoc in the party otherwise it will force him distance from party and also provides a weapon to rival parties to point out at Chandrababu. Either way, Chandrababu may face problem with this issue.

T credit goes to Chandrababu: Venu Madhav

  For the first time, a person has boldly remits the credit of Telangana state formation into TDP President Chandrababu’s account. He is ace comedian Venu Madhav. Speaking at Praja Garjana meeting held by TDP at Mehboob Nagar today, he said that Chandrababu is the one, who signing first and made Telangana state become reality. However, he didn’t expect it happen in the present form and style, said Venu Madhav. He expressed confidence that TDP will form the first governments both in Andhra and Telangana states. He said only TDP can give very efficient government.   TDP’s Praja Garjana held in the heart of Telangana today has become a grand success with huge turnout. Chandrababu is quite excited to see the huge turnout. He assured the people that if TDP is elected to power, his government will provide employment to one each in every family. He reminds them how he has strived hard for the development of Telangana districts and owed to develop it further. He said many issues can be amicably resolved and development activities can kick started if same party takes charge of governments in Andhra and Telangana states. He appealed people not to be influenced with KCR misguiding speeches. He warned them that if KCR is elected to power he will impose land-lords’ ruling on them.   R. Krishnaiah, President of BC Associations, who also spoke in the meeting, said “If BC’s in the state fails to utilize this chance of representing themselves in the government, they may not get a chance again in the next 100 years. Hence, he appealed the people to vote for TDP, which is offering to make BC person as chief Minister of the state.

Botsa is in touch with us: Kishan Reddy

  The latest news is former PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana is said to be in touch with BJP high command. This is confirmed by none other than its Telangana wing President Kishan Reddy recently. If so, the media reports about his plan to bid good bye to Congress should be considered genuine. However, it is very peculiar to hear that former PCC president is ready to join rival party. So far Botsa has not responded to the media reports about leaving Congress party. If he still ignores to condemn the reports one could assume that it is just a matter of time for him to jump fence. If he jumps out of the party, it will be a big blow for Congress, because there would be no leader for the party in north coastal districts.

Will Paritala Sunita stick to TDP?

  It is no secret that Paritala and JC brothers are political rivals in Ananthapur district and have been indulged in a bitter fight for the last two three decades. TDP also stood by Paritala family in their fight against JC Brothers all these years. However, TDP President Chandrababu has rolled a red carpet to JC Brothers into party recently, leaving Paritala Sunita in deep shock. She did not try to conceal her hatred towards JC brothers. She said that she not even wants to take their names on her lips. However, JC brothers now become part of the party and hence the ball is in Sunita’s court now.   Although, Chandrababu has tried to convince Paritala Sunita, she is not happy with JC brothers’ entry into party. JC Diwakar Reddy also has tried to cool her by stating that they have no differences with Paritala family and would like to work with them in strengthening the party. However, it is only a matter of time for them both to start a fresh fight to elbow the other from party. But, who will elbow whom to be seen in the coming days.

Why Digvijay wants to face Modi?

    Digvijay Singh said that he is ready to contest from Banaras, if party orders him so. He made this announcement only after confirming BJP Prime Ministerial Candidate Narendra Modi is contesting from there. Though, Digvijay is very much aware that he can’t defeat Narendra Modi at any cost, he prefers to take upon him only to impress Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. Moreover, he might be foreseeing a clear defeat of his Congress party in the hands of Narendra Modi. So, Digvijay may be thinking that when his party is going to sit in the opposition benches for the next five years, it is better to preserve his position in the party. The only way to impress his high command is boldly facing Modi in the elections and getting defeated by him, otherwise no politician of his caliber will ever think or afford to take such risk.

  TDP President Chandrababu has finally announced formation of elections and manifesto committees for Telangana state with 16 members in each committee. L. Ramana will lead the elections committee as president and Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy has been appointed as Chairman of manifesto committee.   Elections Committee: President: L. Members: Revanth Reddy, Ravulapati Sitaramarao, Maskati, Prakash Goud, Mandava Venkateswarulu, Annapurnamma, Mallesham and P.Ramulu.   Manifesto Committee: Chairman: Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy Members: Peddi Reddy, tummala Nageswara rao, Kashinath, Uma Madhav Reddy, Aravind Kumar Goud, K.Dayakar Reddy, B. Venkateswarulu, Yusuf Ali, Rajkumar, N.Hanumantha rao, Narsa Reddy, Safandev, Sayanna, Narendar Reddy and Seetakka.   Chandrababu told the media that within two days he will also announce the elections campaigning committee for Telangana. He said that he is gifting TDP to BCs.

When Nagarjuna met Modi

      After his one-hour meeting with Narendra Modi, actor Nagarjuna has clarified that he only met Modi as an admirer of the leader and that he personally believed that he could be the Next best Prime Minister, and met him on that note of support. He went on to clarify that neither he nor his family have any political agenda and that as a certain segment of media were saying that he was seeking a ticket for his wife also was not true. He said he was highly impressed with the Model Village where they had 24 hour electricity and WiFi and most of the villages are following this model . And the concept of sustainability was highly impressing and also answered a question where he said that he would love to see the whole of India prosper like Gujarat. He went there at the behest of Venkayya Naidu and expressed his support to the Leader and was highly impressed with the way Gujarat was developed and hoped that he would be the next PM and develop India too. Quite a disappointment for his fans but the gentleman has hogged his share of limelight on National and regional TV.

Election Code of Conduct and Nagma’s episode

      With Congress MLA Gajraj Sharma publicly kissing Meerut candidate actress Nagma on the cheek while she was attending an election rally in Hapur has sparked a row among women’s associations though the poor lady is yet to react to this gross violation of decency that too by a sitting MLA. I mean what was he thinking when he just emerged from the crowd and put his hand on her face and gave her a quick peck on the cheek with the whole thing relayed on national TV. She pushed away his hand in anger but left in quiet dignity. Now what he would probably say was that it could be a show of fatherly affection and surely she must be in consultations with her party members and her PR machinery on how she should react to this obnoxious behavior. For sure we need to add a section in the Election Code of Conduct in the General Conduct section that no sitting MLA or MP should publicly hug or kiss any lady while canvassing.

Will Amala Akkineni be the next Maneka Gandhi of AP?

      With Nagarjuna meeting Narendra Modi at 4Pm today, all eyes and ears are waiting for the outcome. Whether it is going to be just a show of support or is there something more in the offing we need to wait till the meeting is over. Rumours doing their rounds are that he is might seek a ticket for his wife Amala in the coming polls. Nagarjuna not only being one of the top most actors in Tollywood, has also known to be a sound business man who has various business establishments apart from the Annapurna Studios. It is a known fact that he had 14 acres of lands near Hi-Tech City purchased from Gurukul Trust which were regularized by the ULCC with the help of YS Rajasekhara Reddy and received a lot of flak for it. Known to be friendly with both the Congress and TDP this new move in support of BJP is an interesting development. A well known animal rights activist and Blue Cross Foundation founder, Amala has also lent her name and support to various causes including save the Hussain Sagar Project, several NGOs and her own work towards helping and protecting the animal rights. She has quietly blended into the traditional household of the Akkineni family and work with her NGO, which could make her an ideal candidate for the polls. Also quite a good crowd puller when invited for any function or event in support of any good cause, Amala has managed to garner a good crowd with her charisma.  Something akin to Maneka Gandhi who was a vociferous animal and environmental activist herself and became an MP and BJP leader apart from being the daughter in law of the Gandhi family...

Pawan will meet his Vizag Jana Sena on March 27th

      If all goes well then Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan's first political meeting after starting the party will be held in the city of Visakhapatam on March 27th. It has been finalized and all the required permissions for conducting the meet have been okayed and it will be held in the Indira Priyadarsini Auditorium.   The theme of the meeting is purely focused on the youth and theme is “Youth for the Nation… fight for the Nation…” It has been decided that the JSP (Pawan) will hold meetings every 10 days in different places in the state of the Andhra Pradesh and address core issues related to  the development of the country to engage and enlighten the Youth. His book “Ism “  which is a collection of his ideologies and thought will also be released on that day.

Whole Andhra Ke Sole Andagadu for TRS?

      Comedian /actor Babu Mohan has announced that he is quitting the TDP and would no longer associate himself with the party. A disgruntled Babu Mohan has been sidelined by the TDP leadership after he lost both the 2004 and 2009 elections to D Raja Narasimha in the Andhole Assembly in Medak .With the elections coming around the corner, he was not given any ticket nor has been active in the party activities and this has further fuelled this decision to quit . Whether he will join the TRS or not is yet to be clarified by the actor who also happens to be a Dalit leader there. When questioned if he was joining the TRS the actor has informed his supporters that he would join TRS only if he gets a call from TRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Tadipathri now a TDP bastion

      The wait is finally over and Mr Chandra Babu Naidu has broken the 6 decades of Congress strong-hold over the Anantapur district’s Tadipathri religion. Former Congress Minister J.C. Diwaker Reddy, his brother JC Prabhakar Reddy and his son Pawan Reddy have officially joined the Telugu Desam Party on Sunday. J C Diwakar Reddy is expected to get the Lok Sabha seat and either his son or brother will be given the Assemblyseat from Tadipathri. What was once a war of words between Naidu and JC Diwakar and his supporters took a different turn as they shook hands with each other. This entry has antagonized the TDP party cadre in Anantapur who were against this move but at the end it was a necessity and something that he couldn’t risk not doing that fuelled this move. Another sitting MLA from the Vijayawada east constituency Yalamanchali Ravi has joined the TDP also.

After Pawan, Next Nag’s turn

  Recently, Power star Pawan Kalyan went to Ahmadabad just to convey his support to Narendra Modi. Now, Nagarjuna also takes flight to Ahmadabad today morning for the same purpose. Though, he didn’t launch any political party he jumps for Narendra Modi as he has some other intentions. His wife Amala is keen to contest to Assembly from Vijayawada. Recently, Nagarjuna had a meeting with BJP senior leader Venkaiah Naidu during his visit to Hyderabad. Even if he is not assured of party ticket to his wife, he may campaign for BJP, to ensure his party cover to his family in the future. The buzz is Mohan babu and family members are also keen to support BJP and Narendra Modi. If, TDP could strike a deal with BJP over poll alliance, it will also get the full support of Telugu Film Industry.

Will T-BJP agrees for alliance with TDP?

  TDP and BJP are still didn’t come open about their poll alliance, but all others have asserting that they are friends. Perhaps, there is no doubt in their predilection as far as Seemandhra is concerned but still there is big dilemma over their alliance in Telangana, because BJP leaders there are strongly opposing any such proposals.   However, BJP high command is aware that if it refuses alliance in Telangana, it can’t expect in Seemandhra also. Though, BJP has developed its strength in Telangana, still its very weak in Seemandhra. Moreover, it badly needs the Seemandhra MPs support to claim the government at Centre. Since, TDP is riding high these days with many Congress leaders jumping for it, BJP can’t afford to lose its friendship in Seemandhra. So, it is obliged to have alliance with it in Telangana also.   It may ask its T-leaders to co-operate with TDP for the sake of its national interests. BJP Telangana state president Kishan Reddy has already made it clear that he would like to simply follow the instructions of his high command regarding any issue, including poll alliance with TDP. So, chances are bright for poll alliance between two parties.
