Cong. TRS, BJP shifts their war to media platform

  Since, the campaigning for Medak by-elections ends yesterday, the three major players-Congress, TRS and BJP have shifted to media platform to criticize their rivals in a bid to convince the people to vote for their party only.   Former Union Minister Jaipal Reddy taking lead from Telangana CM KCR’s rude statement made against media said “He sent a wrong message to the whole nation that there is no freedom to media in Telangana state. His attitude towards media is very disgusting. Hyderabad brand image is damaging after TRS party comes to power in the state. Being a regional party TRS can talk anything, because it has nothing to do with other states. But, Congress being a national party cannot behave like TRS. KCR should mind his language, otherwise even industrialists won’t prefer to invest in Telangana state.”   T-PCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah also attacks CM KCR. He conducts a dharna at Ranga Reddy district collector’s office today. Addressing his party workers there, he said “No political party ever runs smoothly or returned to power that obliges the farmers commit suicides. TRS government will also face same fate soon. During these three months TRS ruling around 150 farmers have committed suicides in Telangana. Yet, the government didn’t care for them instead boasting about its 100 days ruling.”   BJP leader Indrasena Reddy speaking to media said “It is quite unfortunate to have a CM like KCR for Telangana. People of Telangana may be now regretting for giving him power.” TRS also gives counter to both its rivals.   CM KCR asked Ponnala what he did to stop the suicides when he was minister in Kiran Kumar Reddy’s government. Harish rao flays BJP for fielding Telangana traitor as its candidate in the by-elections.

Medak by-polls referendum for TRS ruling?

  TRS leader K Keshav rao, participating in Medak by-elections campaign at Thupraan said, “Entire country is looking towards these by-elections, because they are curious to see what the people of Telangana thinking about their new government. Hence, we should consider these by-elections are just like referendum for our government’s 100 days ruling and make sure that our party candidate win the elections with huge majority and let the BJP candidate lose his deposits. This is very necessary to reveal the world that people are with ruling TRS party only.”   So, Keshav rao’s statement reveals that ruling TRS is also considering these by-elections as testimony for their 100 days ruling. If it could win the elections, it can spearhead with its actions plans. So, is TRS is simultaneously using Telangana sentiment to ensure its victory in the by-elections, otherwise it has to find a nice excuse for its defeat.

Seven new districts to be created in Telangana soon

    Telangana CM KCR strongly argues that the previous governments have neglected to develop the state during last six decades of ruling. So, he is gradually implementing his plans for a rapid development of the state. As a part of his ambitious plans, his government is going to create 7 new districts in the state for ease of governance and decentralizing the administration. State government has asked the land administration officials to submit their proposals for this purpose immediately.   The new districts are: Vikarabad (taking from Rangareddy), Suryapeta (Nalgonda); Jagityal (Kareem Nagar); Nagarkarnool (Mehboob Nagar); Kotthagudem (Kammam); Siddipeta (Medak) and Manchiryal (Adilabad). Once, this process of creating seven new districts complete smoothly, then Telangana government will create 7 more new districts in the second phase. The file related to this matter is expected to reach Governor’s office in a couple of days for his approval.

Seven mandals merged with EG and WG districts

  AP State government has issued a notification today ordering merging six villages in Burgumpadu mandal, Kukkunooru and Velerupadu mandals with West Godavari district and Koonavaram, Chintooru and VR Puram mandals with Jangareddy Gudem division in East Godavari district. These mandals and villages will submerge under Polavaram Project. So, Government of India has merged them with AP three months back and AP government has merged them with East and West Godavari districts now to enable the district officials start rehabilitation and relocation of the tribal people living there.

He is like my father: Rajaiah

   While, the rude remarks by Telangana CM KCR made against media is drawing huge criticism from all over, his public bashing to his Deputy Chief Minister Rajaiah also becomes another controversy. KCR criticized his deputy for making false promises to set-up a Health University at Warangal. He said “Our government won’t make fake promises. It promises only whatever it can do. Is it possible to set-up Health University here? When it is not possible then why he is making such promises. It will tarnish our government’s reputation. Rajaiah should remember this point.”   He made these remarks at a public function held at Warangal yesterday, while the Deputy Chief Minister Rajaiah was also present on the dais. It is really very embarrassing for him, but can’t help. If KCR would have told him the same in a private conversation, it could be justified very much. But, this kind of advice on a public function is definitely humiliating him.   Opposition parties and backward organizations have to come to his support criticizing CM KCR. However, Rajaiah said that he don’t see anything wrong in KCR’s suggestion because he is just like a father to him in the politics. In return, Rajaiah has criticized MRPS leader Mandha Krishna Madiga for trying to politicize this issue by coming to his support.

Chandrababu study tour to Naya Raipur

    AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is planning to visit Chattisgarh state capital Naya Raipur city that has been developed near Raipur city after the state was separated from MP state few years ago. He wants to learn the problems involved in developing a whole new city and various aspects related to it like the Central assistance etc. before kick starting the work at Vijayawada.   Indeed it is very wise idea to talk to Chattisgarh CM Raman Singh, who is supervising Naya Raipur construction from the scratch. He may give some valuable suggestions and guidance to CM Chandrababu Naidu in building the new capital for AP state. Apart from this, they will also discuss on Chattisgarh objections on Polavaram project that turn hurdle in this project and try to find an amicable solution to this issue. Later, he is also planning to meet Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik for the same purpose. Odisha government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court objecting Polavaram Project.

Does Brother Anil and Sharmila to be provided security by government?

   Andhra and Telangana governments have withdrawn or reduced security cover to many political leaders recently and obviously there is hue and cry heard from them. YSR Congress party honorary president Vijayamma, her daughter Sharmila and her husband Anil Kumar are also among them. They have knocked High Court doors to retain their security cover. Vijayamma may be entitled to have security cover, because she was former MLA, but what makes believe Anil and his wife Sharmila that they are entitled to have security cover?   Especially, Brother Anil, who is a Christian pastor, often says that he has nothing to do with politics or government affairs. If so, how is he entitled to have security cover at the cost of exchequer? His wife Sharmila also plays guest role in YSR Congress party. She disappears after completing her role in the party and for the party. However, the trio argues that state government has to provide security cover to all of them because there is life thereat from their enemies.

More politicians to be accomodated in TTD Board?

  AP government, which plans to revamp all temple committees in the state to uphold the holiness of the temples, has abolished them few days ago. Now, it is going to form a new TTD Board with 18 members in place of 11 earlier. Out of the 18 half of will be from Andhra Pradesh, seven from other states and remaining two will be ex-officio members. Out of the seven other state members, two may be from Tamilnadu and Karnataka states and rest may from Telangana. Out of these five members TDP government may accommodate at least three to four members from its Telangana wing and one from Telangana government.   The amended bill has been forwarded to Governor Narasimhan for approval. Once, it is approved government may finalize the names of the members for the new board. There is very heavy competition for the board members’ and Chairman Posts from within party, government and outside. However, there is possibility of problems on the holy hill multiplied as more politicians find their way into TTD Board.

Chicago Model capital for AP likely?

  If, reports are to be believed, it is learnt that AP government has made up its mind to build the state capital in Chicago Model that would be on either sides of Krishna River. It is learnt that the government has asked the officials to conduct a survey alongside the banks of the river from Prakasham Barrage towards Guntur and also between Vijayawada and Gollapudi, Toollooru and Uddandaraya Puram villages. If state government could get sufficient lands in these areas, it may go for this model otherwise it may return to its Singapore model capital city near Nuziveedu or some other place around Vijayawada.   However, getting funds, permissions and lands acquisition may take a long time. If the state government could overcome all these problems at the earliest, then there is five years’ time frame for it to accomplish this great task. Hope, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who proved his mettle by developing Hyderabad into IT Hub during his regime in the past, may accomplish these great task with his extra ordinary management skills.

Aam Admi leader ready to jump wall?

  Kumar Vishwas, the key leader in Aam Admi party, who dares Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi in the recent elections, is giving clear hints to jump fence very soon. During his recent interview given to a Delhi based media, he is all praise to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his prompt visit to the flood affected Jammu and Kashmir state. He praised Modi government’s efforts for rescue and relief operations to save the people J&K state.   He said “Modi has made the people of Jammu and Kashmir realize that Indian government takes care of them like people in any other states. He made them feel secure and attached with India.”   “There is nothing wrong in praising Modi if he did good things like this because he is Prime Minister for me too like any other citizens of the country. So he needs his due respects.” said Kumar Vishwas. He also said that he will definitely attend and wish him on his upcoming Birthday function.   Kumar Vishwas also said that he may not hesitate to quit Aam Admi party if it also turns into a typical political party, but may not join BJP immediately. He agreed that quitting Delhi government was a big mistake but the decision can be supported on the moral grounds.   His statement in the context of Arvind Kejriwal blaming BJP of indulging in horse trading of Aam Admi party MLAs is very significant. Is he speaking so because he is influenced by BJP or just expressing his views as a citizen of the country?

Clarify stand on Delhi government formation: SC

   A Supreme Court constitutional bench lead by Justice HL Dattu has taken-up the petition filed by Aam Admi party leader Arvind Kejriwal. He appeals the apex court to order NDA government to conduct fresh elections for Delhi national territory at the earliest otherwise ruling party is indulging in horse trading of AAP MLAs. He also submitted the video footage showing some BJP leaders bargaining with AAP MLAs to get their support to BJP for forming government at Delhi.   The apex court ordered the Centre to come with a solid proposal to resolve this issue on October 10th that is on next hearing date. It refused to extend the period any further as it also agrees with AAP arguments.

CBI files 11th charge sheet against Jagan

  So far 10 charge sheets were filed against YSR Congress party president by CBI in connection with quid pro cases and today CBI has filed one more charge sheet against him, Vijaya Sai Reddy, Shyam Prasad Reddy (promoter of Indu Projects) and some others. As usually they both gets A-1 and A-2 numbers in this fresh charge sheet also. This is also a quid pro case, in which Indu Projects Pvt Ltd, (Housing) and Jagan Mohan Reddy are the named as benefiters of the illegal transactions made during late YS Rajashekar Reddy regime between 2004 and 09.   According to CBI charge sheet, YSR government has granted several housing projects to Indu Projects and in return Indu has made huge investments in Jagan owned companies. Hence, CBI charged the accused with cheating, criminal conspiracy, forgery and criminal breach of trust in its 11th charge sheet filed today.

Modi’s visit to US will be just a routine one?

  People are aware that US government has revoked his visa in 2005, in the context of Gujarat riots in 2002. Neither Modi shown any interest or US government revokes its decision all these years. But, US government starts rolling back its decision only after foreseeing his sweeping victory in the 2014 general elections. US officials have made some corrective statements first and finally rolled red carpet to him with US President Barrack Obama personally inviting him for a visit to the country. So, call it as strategic or just routine, Prime Minister Narendra Modi after taking charge of his office preferred to visit our small neighbor country Bhutan first rather than visiting USA.   However, he accepted US President’s invitation and will visit US on September 29 and 30th. He has been invited for a meeting with President Barrack Obama in the White House. Need not to say it is intended to improve bilateral relations, business and to sign few agreements. However, there are very high expectations on Narendra Modi that he will achieve much more than signing the routine agreements and attending photo sessions with President Obama.

I salute MSOs for the decision: KCR

    Finally, Telangana CM KCR spells his mind about banning two news channels in the state. Reacting to media protests staged at his camp office he said, “We won’t need those news channels that have no respect for our Telangana culture and people. They should realize that if they want to operate from Telangana soil, they have to be loyal to the state. We will not tolerate any humiliation to our people and their elected representatives. They should learn to respect our culture and our traditions, otherwise there is no room here. I salute those MSOs who took this decision to ban the two news channels. All our MLAs also have passed a resolution recommending action against those two news channels. They have further complicated the issue by taking it to Centre’s notice. Currently, the issue is in pending with Telangana Assembly speaker and so the government has nothing to do with it.”   So, there is nothing left to say by Telangana government. Now the ball is in the two news channels’ court. They have to decide how to react to his statement and how to resolve their problem. Perhaps, no others from media may come to their support fearing the same fate.

Special Status to AP definite: Nirmala Sitaraman

  Three months after NDA alliance takes charge of the government, still it couldn’t accord special status to Andhra Pradesh as promised in the AP Reorganization Bill-2014. A special committee has been formed in the Planning Commission especially for this purpose, but it seems to be scrapped along with Planning Commission, as Modi government wants to replace it with some effective panel of experts. So, it can be understood that entire process done by the special committee was also scrapped and it has to be begin from scratch once again.   However, Union Minister for commerce Nirmala Sitaraman assures that it is only a matter of time to get special status to AP. Not only that, but she also said that her government is committed to develop industrial corridor between Vizag and Chennai, grant industrial subsidies to AP and Telangana states etc. that were mentioned in the AP Reorganization Bill-2014.   She said that several committees set-up by the Centre for these various purposes may submit their reports anytime. Once they were tabled, Centre will start implementing the promises,’ assures Minister Nirmala Sitaraman. Let us hope she is honest with her assurance.

Media protests in front of T-CM KCR’s camp office

  Some lady journalists have stage dharna in front of Telangana CM KCR’s camp office protesting ban on the two news channels and obviously police have taken them into custody to clear the area. The journalists have strongly resisted the police and also protest their handling style. This may appear a routine fare but seems not if observed in the context of CM KCR’s recent visit to New Delhi.   Although, the media people have staged dharnas earlier for the same reasons, later they discontinued and have been pressurizing the Telangana government through various means, but in vain. Even a warning by Union Minister for Information and broadcasting Prakash Jawadekar had has no impact on the Telangana MSOs and the ban on those two news channels is still continuing in Telangana.   Perhaps, those two news channels’ managements have expected that Centre will convince Telangana CM KCR to lift the ban, but when he simply washed off his hands from this issue, they lost their last hope for revival. Perhaps, then only they hits the streets once again to pressurize Telangana CM KCR. However, it is quite unfortunate to clip the media wings. This issue also underlines that Media should not cross its limits in the name of media freedom.

What obliges CM to tour across the state?

   According to latest information, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is planning to tour across the state soon. It is heard that he will cover all the districts on one-day-each basis in a single schedule without taking any breaks in middle. His intention behind this tour is to educate the people about his plans for developing the state and making them involve in this great task. If so, it would be great idea.   But, the actual idea is to clear the peoples’ doubts about his development plans and convince them that his government will fulfill all the promises, because opposition parties are trying to spread gobbles against the state government and its plans.   Especially, the delay taking place in clearing the crop loans is obviously providing a great opportunity to opposition parties to convince the people that state government is not honest to implement its development plans also announced by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu recently in the state Assembly. So, he may be planning to counter their allegations and to stop the people absorbed with opposition parties’ arguments and allegations being made against ruling TDP government. Chandrababu Naidu’s tour schedule and the road map are to be finalized yet.

Is Pawan Kalyan throwing Challenge to Chiru again?

  Pawan Kalyan’s fans are going to form youth wings across the state. What prompts them to form the youth wings is Chiranjeevi’s fans associations have not bothered to invite them to Mega fans’ associations meeting to be held at Vijayawada or Rajhamundry on September 30th.   Then the question would be why did they ignore Pawan’s fans and who asked them to do so? Obviously, anyone will suspect Chiranjeevi hand behind it because he may be angry with his brother’s political entry that virtually puts an end to his political career. So, he may have asked his fans to ignore Pawan’s fans. So, Pawan’s fans are might be forming these youth wings only to uphold their identity. But, their decision may send wrong message to people. It will be telling the people that Pawan Kalyan is likely to shelve his Janasena party or he is throwing challenge to his elder brother once again through this idea.

BJP indulged in horse trading of AAP MLAs?

  The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which quits the Delhi government on silly reasons hoping to play a larger role in the national politics, has been desperately struggling for a comeback. However, since it does not have sufficient number of MLAs to form the government it is demanding for re-elections for Delhi Assembly. But, the ruling NDA government seems is gearing up to form the government, although it need five more MLAs to for it. Obviously, it will look towards the beleaguered AAP MLAs for support and it makes its leader Arvind Kejriwal fumes upon it. He released a video clipping showing some BJP leaders bargaining with his party MLAs. He warns BJP leadership that he will not allow horse trading of his party MLAs. However, everyone knew that horse trading in politics can’t be stopped as long as there are greedy people peoples’ representatives in the parties.
