Balayya in trouble over his comments

  Telugu viewers have often taken the speeches of Balakrishna to be granted. His oratory skills were generously accepted. But time seems to be tough with Balayya babu this time. His remarks over women on the audio function of ‘Savitri’ is amassing criticism across the nation. The statement of Balakrishna that ‘his fans would accept him only if he kiss a girl or make her pregnant’ is being quoted on top banners across the magazines. A case was even filed in the Saroornagar police station. The opposition too seems to have been granted a cause by balayya for targeting him. YSR Congress leader Roja has demanded an apology from the actor. Balayya might not have expected such criticism from fans and foes alike. So he had to make a public statement apologizing women if his words have hurt them!

4 nuns were killed in Yemen

  4 nuns belonging to the Missionaries of Charity were feared to be shot dead in Yemen. The terrorists have entered its old age home in the Sheikh Othman district of Yemen, and has started shooting randomly at the inmates. 16 people were feared to be dead in the attack with at least four of them being the nuns, who were serving the inmates. The assailants have escaped the scene soon after the attack. The Indian Embassy in Yemen was closed last year after civil war broke out, and the management of Missionaries of Charity was advised to close down the home. But determined to serve the people in the midst of civil war, they kept helping the needy risking their own lives. Readers might be aware that the Missionaries of charity is a voluntary organisation that’s founded by Mother Teresa with its head quarters in Kolkata.

Inspired by TV- women stages abduction

  Here is another case where the crime shows presented on Television has inspired a person to imitate and fail! - Shipra Malik is a Noida resident who went missing this Monday. - 29 year old Shipra is a fashion designer and owns a boutique. - Inspired by the crime shows on the TV, Shipra thought of staging a false abduction of herself. - She thought that such an abduction would help her out from financial troubles. - Shipra hid herself in an ashram in Rajastan to stage her act, but has decided to end her drama after seeing her 16 month old son on TV. - She called back her husband this Friday and informed him that she is safe. - To show cause her absence, Shipra alleged that three people has tried to abduct her, but left her at Gurgaon. - It didn’t take much time for the police to cross check her acts and Shipra is now under police custody! - During the interrogation, she has revealed to the police that the crime shows on TV has inspired her to stage an abduction.

A culprit on the list of Mamata

  Just a few hours after the election commission has announced its schedule for polling in West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has issued a list of the candidates for the elections. Her list seemed to be balanced with enough priority for the minorities as well as women. However, the inclusion of Madan Mitra has raised too many eyebrows! Madan Mitra is in jail at present for his alleged involvement in the Saradha scam. CBI is also investigating his role in Rose Valley chit fund scam. Both these scams has battered the image of otherwise clean Mamata. But its interesting to watch her moral support for Madan Mitra. On other hand, Mamata has declared that she is going to campaign in Kerala against congress and CPI (M) parties. She blames them for lacking morality. And what about Madan Mitra?

The season for Elections begin

  The Election commission has today announced the much awaited schedule for assembly elections in 4 states and 1 Union Territory. - These election would be held in West Bengal, Kerala, Assam, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry - Starting from April 4, the notification for elections and polling would be completed in various stages at various places. However the counting of votes for all the five territories will take place on May 19. -  Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi has declared that over 17 crores of voters are going to participate in these elections. - These elections are going to be crucial for Congress, BJP and the regional parties as well. - While congress is presently in hold of Kerala and Assam, BJP is hoping to make a comeback after its disastrous performance in Bihar and Delhi. -  Meanwhile AIADMK, TMC and N.R. Congress too were eager to retain their supremacy in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Puducherry respectively.

North Korea gets ready for a Nuclear strike

  The North Korean leader Kim Jong has made it clear that he is ready for a war. Yesterday, he has ordered the officials to set the nuclear arsenal of the country, to be ready for a strike at anytime. Kim has made these preparations, just a few hours after the UN has passed a resolution, penalizing North Korea for its recent nuclear test and long range rocket launch. The resolution which was drafted and pushed forward by US lays strict economical sanctions on North Korea. But Kim seems to have hit back by hinting that his nation is ready for it and more. Though it’s not new for the North Korea to be over ambitious about the war plans, political experts were of the fear, that the young blooded Kim Jong is certainly curious to start a war. If that is the case... with US on the side of South Korea and China in support with North Korea, a third world war might be inevitable!

Modi launches `Setu Bharatam’ project

  The Prime Minister has today unveiled the Rs. 50,800 crore Setu Bharatam project. - The project is aimed to make all national highways free from railway level crossing by 2019 to ensure safety and speed. - A total of 208 railway crossings will be replaced by rail over bridges (ROBs) to prevent any breakups in the journey. -  1,500 old bridges will also be reconstructed under the project. These bridges would be picked up basing on the requirement from a total of 1,50,000 bridges that lay across the nation. - Speaking at the launch, Modi has criticised that the earlier governments used to announced trains to please certain MPs, but has never cared about the infrastructure. - Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari too was present at the occasion.

BJP to target Rahul for racist marks...

  Rahul Gandhi might have strongly criticised the government to let black money be changed into white, on the floor of parliament. “They launched a Fair and Lovely yojana to convert black money into white money. Modiji had promised that he would put people with black money behind bars, now they have come up with ways to save those people.” His comparison of the government’s initiative with the Fair and Lovely is drawing huge remarks from the opposition. They claim that such comparison reflects the mindset of Rahul Gandhi, that being dark is to be ugly. The ruling party is proposing to bring up a discussion to ban the advertisements such a Fair and Lovely, which hints that being a girl with dark complexion is a curse. But the real intention is to target the comments of Rahul Gandhi.

  Winds of Change - the biography of Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav might have been a disaster in the book market. But the Samajwadi Party seems to use it in the best possible way... by distributing it for free! With the elections on the way in the next year, SP seems to boost up the shattered image of CM Akhilesh. Winds of Change, which was written by noted journalist Sunita Aron, was now being distributed among the public in Uttar Pradesh. What else! The biography was given along with Gita for Hindus and Koran for Muslims. Samajwadi party has been known to be supportive towards Muslims, but with the latest tactics, it seems to woo the people from both religions. Probably the party workers were of the view that if voters weren't impressed by the biography, they would certainly be impressed by the holy books.

  After all that’s happening in the parliament for past few days, everyone was eager to know about the response of Narendra Modi. Modi has today delivered his key speech in the parliament replying to the Motion of Thanks to the President's address. Here are the key notes from his speech...   - Modi quoted the words of Rajiv Gandhi that `Debate will be more fruitful if procedure is followed.’ Modis’ quote from Rajiv took the opposition by surprise.   - He urged the opposition to facilitate the passing of bills, as they were passed are for the benefit of the people.   - Modi suggested that only women MP’s should speak in Parliament on 8th March to mark International Women’s Day. He also urged to given importance for the first time MP’s to express their opinion.   - `Some people have aged physically, but not in maturity. Some people don’t understand but just want to oppose for the sake of it,’ mocked Modi.   - Prime Minister has criticised the Congress with strong words. He said that Congress could have helped the poor if it wished, but has done nothing for 60 years!   - Modi reiterated that there is no problem with the schemes, but the problem is with the accountability regarding their implementation.   Finally Modi requested the opposition to support the government in increasing such accountability.

Friend of Smriti Irani... promoted that fake video

  Many people might not have heard the name Shilpi Tiwari. But she is the former aide of Union minister Smriti Irani. Shilpi has been alleged for spreading a fake video that shook the nation. The video of Shilpa was heard with the slogans that were heard to be in support of Pakistan. This video has evoked sharp responses from the public as well as the politicians. But, the video was in fact turned out to be doctored and Shilpa has been off line since a week.   Shilpa has been the campaign manager for Irani during the Lok Sabha polls in Amethi. She is one of the strong supporters for BJP and was an active member on the social media. Even the big shots such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah were among her followers on twitter. Earlier Shipa was shot into headlines, when the HRD ministry tried to relax the norms, to appoint her as a consultant to a government website.Has Shilpa willfully doctored the video or whether she believed it to be the original is the question she could only answer!

Martin Crowe is no more.   - Martin has been suffering from cancer since 2014, to which he has ultimately succumbed.   - He played 77 Tests and 143 ODIs for his country during his 13 year long career.   - He scored 5,444 Test runs at an average of 45.36 with 17 centuries.   - Crowe still holds the highest number of test centuries by a New Zealander. His highest score of 299 against Sri Lanka was cherished for a long time, till Brendon McCullum has surpassed it with a massive 302.   - After his retirement in 1996 due to a knee injury, he went on to become a television commentator.   - He also initiated a new form of game called Cricket Max, which laid the foundation for T-20 cricket.   - Famous Hollywood actor Russel Crowe happens to be a cousin of Martin Crowe.

  It’s quite often that we see a Hollywood movie, where an young chap hacks the site of pentagon. But, the defense organisation of US is not so vulnerable as it looks in the Hollywood movies. Everyday, thousands of futile attempts would be made by hackers to enter the prestigious site of Pentagon. Now! Pentagon seems to have decided to test the strength of its website. It would be inviting some hackers to try a breach into their systems. Called as `Hack the Pentagon,’ the program will begin next month. It’s not a unique practice for the big companies to invite hackers to break into their systems, but it’s certainly new for Pentagon. If a hacker could enter the private data of pentagon, he might be awarded with huge prize. Besides! Breaking into the world’s sophisticated defense organisation would be an additional merit.

Attack on Indian consulate Afghanistan

The Indian consulates in Afghanistan was once more targeted by the terrorists. Today four suicide bombers tried to enter the Indian consulate in Jalalabad city of Afghanistan to create havoc. The Afghan security forces has acted swiftly, and has shot dead all the bombers. Six people were injured and the property of the consulate was damaged to certain extent. But the loss is though to be minimal when you are facing four suicide bombers with a mission to devastate the consulate! Earlier, a similar assault was carried out by terrorists on the Indian consulate in Mazar-i-Sharif in January. Though no terrorist group has claimed the responsibility for the attack, police suspect that the Taliban could be the culprit for the blast. It’s a known fact that India is a key nation in the diplomatic relations with Afghanistan, which is of course an unpleasant matter for the Taliban, which is trying to gain control over the nation.

China to lay off millions of workers

China may not say it openly, but the whole world is aware that the big nation is in financial crisis. In a bid to dump the world with the products at the cheapest impossible way, China has stuck in its own web of over productivity. The time has come to make some drastic measures, to stop things from getting worse. The reliable sources in China have revealed that the Communist government is going to lay off millions of workers to deal with over capacity.   China is expected to lay off 1.8 million workers in the coal and steel industry alone. The coal and steel industry has proved to be a major pollutant for china and the returns too were on the diminishing mode. It would be a major retrenchment drive since 1998-2003 at the time which, china has laid down 28 million workers. The retrenchment would certainly hit the economy as the government has to provide huge package for the workers who were being laid off!  So, we can be almost sure of another major jerk in the world markets in the coming months!

Leonardo forgets Oscar at a bar

  People often say that `Once you achieve something, it’s value would be lost!’. Well! We might certainly give a serious thought about that statement, after looking at what Leonardo DiCaprio did after winning the Oscar. Leonardo, as every one is now aware of, has won the best actor award for his fabulous performance in The Revenant. It took almost six nominations and 23 years of awaiting, for the actor to grab the award. The long awaited achievement might have made Leonardo jubilant, as he drove to the best bar in Los Angeles to celebrate his victory. The party as can be expected went on and on until Leonardo was almost off! He zigzagged his way into his car even without bothering about the Oscar statue that’s left behind. Someone had to run after to deliver him the piece. Some bystander should have shouted.... `And the Oscar goes to’ to cherish the moment!

Protests over BJP MP’s words on Islam

  - Anant Kumar Hegde, the BJP MP from Kanara constituency of North Karnataka has sparked a fresh controversy. - While speaking at a meeting in Bhaktal which falls under his constituency, Anant has stated that "Terrorism cannot be wiped out as long as Islam continues to remain in the world." - The statement of Bhaktl has sent a wave of shock across the state including his own party members. - state Health Minister U T Khader requested Home Minister to take suo motu action against Hegde for his "shocking and irresponsible" statement against Islam. - The Dakshina Kannada district unit of youth Congress too has filed a police complaint against the MP. But Ananta Kumar Hegde, being an MP might give a hard chance for the police to take any legal action. - Meanwhile, several Muslim organisations in Bhaktal has yesterday staged protests to condemn the statement of MP. The town has become tense after the statement and the protests that followed it. - Despite severe warnings from the BJP President Amit Shah, several honourable members like Anant Kumar Hegde went on with their course of making irresponsible statements.

`She autos’ in Kochi

  An auto rickshaw service that’s dedicated for women passengers is going to kick off in Kochi today. The She auto will be driven by the drivers who were trained with soft skills to deal with the female passengers and children. So far, a group of 100 drivers were trained to drive these She autos. Some of these drivers include women. These drivers will be given special badges to be easily recognised. These services would be available 24 hours in the selected areas of the city. The theme of She autos was not new for the people of Andhra Pradesh. Last year, AP chief minister Chandrababu naidu has distributed 49 autos to the women who got training in driving them.
