  • 2yr old dog saves 7yr old girl from snake

      A two year old German shepherd has done something that even human being some times back out to do. The pet dog braved snakebites to save the life of a 7-year-old girl in the US. In this process it damaged its kidneys, following which a huge some of US $33,000 have poured in as donations for his treatment.   The dog was playing with Molly DeLuca on Wednesday when the rattlesnake showed up in their backyard in Florida following which Haus jumped between the girl and the snake and was bitten thrice while saving the girl.

    AAP's draft bill for full Statehood

    Aam Aadmi Party's leader and Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal today made public the draft Bill seeking full Statehood for Delhi. They have put the bill online for public consultation exercise by inviting people of Delhi to give their opinion on the constitutional status of the national capital.   While addressing a press conference Kejriwal said, "Delhi Govt has made a draft bill seeking full statehood status. We have uploaded the draft bill on our website, also welcome suggestions till June 30."

    12yr boy passes 12th class exam

      Child prodigy Aabhas Sharma, has cleared the higher secondary exam conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) at the age of 12. Aabhas scored 325 out of 600 marks, 65% to get a first division in the class 12th exam, making his parents and teachers proud. Two years ago, he became a celebrity in town when he passed class 10 at the age of 10.

    Hillary manages to wins Kentucky

      Democrat candidates Hillary Clinton narrowly defeated Bernie Sanders in Kentucky, a state where she was not expected to win. Sanders went ahead of her in Oregon, a state that played to his strengths. Both picked up primary wins in yet another demonstration of how divided the party is in the national race to win the nomination for November's general election.

    US passed bill for 9/11 victims

      The US Senate has passed a bill that would allow families of victims of 9/11 attacks to sue Saudi Arabia. With this development Saudi Arabia has reportedly threatened to withdraw its USD 750 billion worth of investments in America if it became law. This, even as the White House said President Barack Obama would veto the legislation. But the bill is yet to be passed by the House of Representatives before it Obama gets to see it and sign.

    5 states get heavy rainfall

    The Meteorological Department has said a depression in the Bay of Bengal, which has brought heavy rain to parts ofTamil Nadu and Puducherry is presently moving in a north-northeast direction and is likely to intensify through out today. Assam too has been recovering from heavy rain. Kerala has also seen heavy rain over the past two days, with more rain predicted in the coming days. There has been flooding in some parts of the state and emergency meetings have been called by the administration. West Bengal too has been bracing itself, with the storm predicted to move northwards.

    Why give Gandhi's name to everything:Rishi

      Rishi Kapoor has raised a storm yet again in the country. This time around he is asking why we must name every asset of the country is named after the Gandhis. Instead We must name important assets of the country after those who have contributed to society.  He tweeted:   "Change Gandhi family assets named by Congress.Bandra/Worli Sea Link to Lata Mangeshkar or JRD Tata link road. Baap ka maal samjh rakha tha ?" This comment has been trending on all social media sites.

    YSRCP tactics exposed!

      YSRCP leaders made a huge blunder while staging a protest against the construction of irrigation projects by Telangana saying its against the good of AP farmers. YS Jagan's Jala Deeksha which is taking place in Kurnool proved that people coming over to speak on the dias is a rehearsed show and that it is staged in front of the media.   During a speech by visually-challenged boy, it was heard that someone was prompting what he had to say, in the middle of his speech, he, by mistake uttered that Chandra Babu Naidu is yet to give "runa maafi" to visually challenged and on prompting from behind he corrected his statement. He later also said if Jagan comes to power, physically challenged people would be given "house" and "pension". 

    Feeling better tweets Rahul Gandhi

      Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi who was suffering from viral fever tweeted earlier today that he is feeling much better. Prime Minister Modi had also tweeted to Rahul Gandhi wishing him a speedy recovery. Rahul tweeted saying:   "Thank you everyone for the kind wishes, I'm very touched by your concern. Am feeling much better now. I should be up & about in a few days". Mr. Gandhi had last week cancelled his two-day visit to Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Kerala for poll rallies, saying he was down with high fever.

    SBI to take over associate banks

      State Bank of India said on Tuesday that it is seeking to merge operations of five of its subsidiary banks with itself, marking the first move of consolidation in the nation's state-run banking sector. SBI holds almost 100% stake in SBP and SBH. SBI has about 75% stake in the other three associate banks. These are listed on stock exchanges.   The boards of five associate banks – State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore and State Bank of Jaipur and Bikaner (SBBJ), State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH), State Bank of Patiala (SBP) and State Bank of Travancore (SBT) – met in succession at SBI headquarters early in the day. SBI will also be taking over Bharatiya Mahila Bank.

    Did Congress release Pathankot terrorist?

      In a shocker, reports are out that the mastermind behind the Pathankot terror attack has been once released by the then Manmohan Singh government. In 1999, along with the release of Azhar, JeM had demanded the release of his close aide, Shahid Latif, which Vajpayee had refused.   In 2010, however, the UPA government headed by Manmohan Singh released Latif as a goodwill gesture to Pakistan. He later went on to become the handler of the four terrorists, who stormed the Pathankot base in India on January 2, 2016. According to reports, Latif is believed to have arranged the weapons, clothes and shoes of the jihadis apart from injections and medicines, food packets.

    Hyderabad to be renamed??

    After renaming the IT hub of India Gurgaon as Gurugram, the latest reports suggest that the next in line to be renamed could be our very own city of pearls Hyderabad. Hyderabad could be renamed as Bhagyanagar. Other cities to be renamed could be Ahmedabad could be give a name as Karnavati and Aurangabad as Sambhaji Nagar.   Ahmedabad be named after a Hindu king Karan Dev I, of Solanki dynasty, Aurangabad after Chhatrapati Sambhaji and Hyderabad after goddess Bhagyalakshmi. Ahmedabad was known as Karnavati, named after Karandev I who ruled it. 

    PM Modi completes 2 yrs in office

    BJP will organise over 200 events during a fortnight-long public outreach programme from May 26, the day the Modi government completes two years in office, with its MPs and MLAs spending time with people publicising its achievements. The Prime Minister has repeatedly asked the party's lawmakers to spend more time amongst people to publicise his government's programmes. All the Lok Sabha MPs have been asked to spend a day and night in every assembly segment of their constituency, while MLAs are also said to connect with grass root level and spread awareness about the projects being implemented.

    Apple choose Hyderabad as its centre!

    Tim Cook will be on his first official trip to the country will be introducing an accelerator program for iOS developers. Hyderabad gets lucky this time as Apple has chosen it to be the base for their maps center. Apple, which is seeking to open retail stores in the country, has also been facing opposition to its efforts to import and sell refurbished iPhones in India. Although the schedule hasn't been officially confirmed, Tim is set to meet Prime Minister Modi as well.

    85yrs Chennai lady travels 6hrs to vote

    When Sarojini, the 85-year-old grandmother of Pramod Kumar said she wanted to go to Chennai to vote, he couldn't believe what he just heard. The MNC professional from Bangalore then planned a road trip, with his entire family so that they can cast their vote. The grit and determination which his grandmother Sarojini showed has left an impression on many. Their family selfie says it all.

    Wife cuts man's fingers for checking phone

    Wife's addiction to her cell phone has led to a number of quarrels between the couple and the husband ended up losing his fingers on questioning her. According to a complaint lodged by Chandraprakash, when he returned home on May 4 around 11 pm, he found out that dinner was not ready. When asked his wife, Sunitha Singh, said that she had ordered the dinner and was still busy with her phone. He got angry and snatched the mobile from her hand and started checking her messages. Angrily Sunitha went into the kitchen where he allegedly slapped her. Sunitha got hold of a knife and allegedly attacked her husband. In the process, she slashed his fingers, leading to severe injuries. he dropped the phone on the ground and ran out of the apartment. He visited a nearby hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

    SP nominates Amar Singh to Rajya Sabha

    Amar Singh has finally got some good news to look forward to. Samajwadi Party has nominated him for a Rajya Sabha seat. Though there were speculations that few leaders of the party objected to Amar Singh's re-entry into SP during the parliamentary board meeting, party sources dismissed them as just rumors. Amar Singh was expelled from the party for 6 years in February 2010. Ever since the period got over this year, there have been speculations of his return to the party. While in SP, Amar Singh was not only a Rajya Sabha but also a member of the party's central parliamentary board.

    Scorpio and 6 Cars Fail Crash Test

      In a shocker to the automobile industry in India, 6 cars failed the crucial crash test. Some of India's most popular cars including the Mahindra Scorpio, Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Maruti Suzuki Eeco and Hyundai Eon have failed a basic crash test conducted by Global New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP), who warn that adults would suffer serious or fatal injuries if the cars are involved in a major crash.   The tests conducted showed that in an accident, all the cars would leave the driver with possible life-threatening injuries to the occupants. The tests saw the basic models, all without airbags, driven at 64kmph into a block simulating a head-on collision.
