‘IUC is an effective tool in TRAI’s hands’

NEW DELHI: On Friday, Bharti Airtel said that, as per the bilateral agreement that had been signed between BA and Jio, it would increase the number of hundreds of points of interconnect given to Reliance Jio. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India was impelled by the telecom to obtain a way to restrain the massive lopsided traffic to make sure that the receiving networks are not being abused by free traffic Tsunami. Bharti Airtel in this regard said that, IUC was an effective tool in TRAI’s hands, which Airtel hopes that they would use judiciously. BA stated that, the traffic would inevitably get to a more balanced level and PoI would be less of an issue, following the commercial charging of services by Reliance Jio, which was expected by Jan1, 2017.
