Indira Devi, Mahesh Babu's mother, has been ill for several weeks and is being treated at AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad.

 

She had been on a ventilator for some time and died in the early hours of this morning. Mahesh Babu paid her several visits in the week since she was admitted to AIG Hospitals.

 

Indira Devi has been single since Superstar Krishna garu divorced and married Vijayanirmala. Mahesh and other family members see her on a regular basis.

 

Mahesh Babu has a special bond with his mother, which he has expressed numerous times. "She is like God for me. Whenever I'm tensed & nervous I go to her house and have a coffee and all my tensions go away. That's my relationship with my mother"- Mahesh said this in multiple occasions.

 

Ramesh Babu, Mahesh Babu's elder brother, died recently due to illness. His mother died recently.

 

The entire family rushed to her home and is devastated by the tragedy. Her final rites will be performed soon. Strength to Mahesh Babu's family, and rest in peace, Indira Devi garu.
