Fire killed 12 in Bangladesh

 

DHAKA: On Saturday, Police and witnesses said that, just outside the Bangladeshi capital 12 people were killed in a fire broke out that took place in a garment packaging factory, Ghazipur. A fire official, Mohammad Akhtarzzaman said that, as the firemen struggle to control the blaze in the four- storey building many people were injured and were taken to the hospital. Just when the work was about to start, due to the boiler explosion around 6:15 PM the fire broke out at the garment packaging factory, which is located at Tongi Bisic industrial area. The economy of the country, in the fiscal year 15-16, earned $28 billion in the exports of readymade garments as they are the centerpiece of Bangladesh.
