Christmas special crafts for Kids

Christmas is one festival like Diwali and Holi that brings a smile on Children's faces. They are so excited about decorating the tree and Santa !! It is a challenging time to keep them occupied as schools announce holidays during this time of the year and most children are home, idle and feeling bored. Here are some crafts that kids can make to decorate the christmas tree, or even hang on the entrance door to welcome guests and especially their most favorite, Santa !

For star shaped christmas ornaments, we need:

A Hard cardboard sheet
Glue
Pair of scissors
Acrylic colors or printed paper
Thread or twine to hang
Shape stencils

Procedure:

Using shape stencils, cut the cardboard in 2 star shapes. Cut across one side of each star, as shown in the picture to slide along the other star and lock them for a 3D effect. Paint the stars or apply printed paper cut in star shapes to make them look like christmas ornaments. You can hang them with a thread or twine by piercing a hole through to the christmas tree or make a garland to hang across the windows for decoration.

For pasta ornaments, we need

Any pasta pieces
Strong glue
Thread or twine to hang
Water or acrylic colors and stationary to paint
White paper and pencil

Procedure:

Consider a shape in mind for making a shape. 13 uncooked pasta pieces make a star shape as shown in the picture. Draw the shape on white paper and place pasta along the sides of the stencil and start sticking each pasta piece with glue, carefully. Once dry, your pasta ornament is ready for painting. You can als leave it as-is for an original look. Use twine or thread to hang.

For Santa's face, we need
Hard cardboard sheet
Few White papers
One red cardstock sheet
Red, black marker
1-2 Cotton balls
Glue
Two-sided tape

Procedure:

As shown in the picture, first make the face of Santa using pencil sketch on white cardboard sheet. Mark the eyes with black marker and paste a red nose using red cardstock. Cut along the shape. Now cut a hat using red cardstock sheet and paste a cotton ball on top for a snowball feel. Now, Paste the hat to the already cut face. For the beard, cut long strips of white paper and wind them as rolls. Paste one edge of each roll, one beside the other and let the other edges flow down. This creates a cute beard. Using a two-sided tape, paste it to your front door or a dorm room door, or anywhere for a Christmas feel !!
