Spinach chutney

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

pinach (chopped )- 3 cups

Green chillies- 4

Turmeric- 1/4 teaspoon

Garlic- 4 pieces

Cumin seeds- 1 teaspoon

Tamarind paste- 2 tablespoons

Salt- as required

Seasonings: red chillies, cumin seeds and mustard seeds.

 

Method:

Heat 2 tablespoons of oill and add garlic and chopped green chillies. Then add chopped spinach leaves and turmeric powder and cook for few minutes. Allow the content to come to normal temperature then add tamarind paste to this mixture and grind them in to fine paste.. Finally season them with above said ingredients. Adding chopped corriander to this chutney gives great flavor. This chutney tastes excellent when served with evening snacks and rice too.
