    Accusing Pakistan of fomenting trouble in India, home minister Sushilkumar Shinde today said it was helping terrorists to infiltrate into the country. We have information that Pakistan is helping terrorists to enter our territory. We have Intelligence inputs. But we are alert. The home minister said his ministry has directed all concerned to be extra vigilant during the ongoing festival season and ensure peace. “I also appeal people to be extra careful,” he said.

    Kingfisher Airlines License Suspended by DGCA

      DGCA Directorate General of Civil Aviation has suspended Kingfisher Airlines licence for failing to adhere to the deadline given by the aviation regulator. DGCA had fixed October 20 as the last date for KFA to come up with a viable financial revival plan. The DGCA had issued a show cause notice on October 5 to the liquor baron Vijay Mallya owned airline asking why its flying licence should not be suspended or cancelled as it was not adhering to its flight schedule and abruptly cancelling its flights time and again during the last 10 months, causing great inconvenience to the travelling public. Later the airline issued a statement saying it had extended the partial lockout until October 23, 2012. We had a positive meeting with employee representatives on October 17 and are hopeful of reaching common ground when we meet again next week.

    Director Rajamouli Mother Rajanandhini Died

      Telugu film director SS Rajamouli's mother, Smt. Rajanandhini died today morning. Rajanandhini has been suffering from prolonged illness, although the reasons for her illness have not known to the media. she is survived by her husband vijayendra prasad and family. Tollywood biggies already started rushing to the Rajamouli's house after hearing Rajanandhini’s death news. Teluguone express its deepest condelences to Rajamouli and family.

    Actress Trisha Father Krishnan Died

      Trisha Father Krishnan dead: Actress Trisha father Krishnan passed away last evening in Hyderabad due to cardiac arrest. He was working in a private hotel in Hyderabad as the general manager, when he had intense chest pain and had to be immediately rushed to Yashoda hospital. But, he passed away on the way to the hospital and the doctors confirmed that he was brought dead. Trisha and her mom Uma Krishnan rushed to Hyderabad on hearing this bad news.

    No Nikah For Saif and Kareena

      Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor married after 5 years of courtship. The two actors had a registered marriage at Saif’s Bandra residence and had oraganised a reception in the evening. Though the couple was rumoured to have had a nikaah in the evening, what has come to the fore is that Saifeena exchanged weddings rings and vows. Kareena’s mother Babita follows Christianity and hence they followed the Christian traditions to solemnize their wedding following a legal one in the morning. Kareena`s close friend and fashion designer Manish Malhotra said that there was a simple exchange of vows between the two actors. 32-year-old actress wore Saif`s grandmother`s traditional gharara for the ceremony last night. Sharmila Tagore had worn the same gharara at her nikaah. She then passed it on to her son`s new wife. Delhi-based designer Ritu Kumar was given the responsibility of restoring and embellishing the gharara. Later, Kareena changed into a Malhotra creation for the post wedding party and Saif donned a Banarsi brocade achkan by designer Raghvendra Rathore.

    Teenager gangraped at Badarpur

      A 16 year old girl was gang raped for 10 days continuously at Badarpur East Delhi. Haryana Police rescued her on Thursday, Delhi Police arrested two of the accused. The victim lives with her family in Haryana’s Faridabad district. Action was taken after her father lodged a missing report with Haryana Police on October 9. He had stated that his daughter was missing since she left home on October 8. Later, he received information that his daughter was confined in a room near Sible Cinema in Badarpur by three men. On this information, a Haryana Police team conducted a raid at Tajpur Pahari in Badarpur, where they traced traced her to the house of Dal Singh and rescrued her. The victim told police that she left home on October 8 to meet her friend Hukam in Haryana’s Palwal district. As Hukam did not turn up, she came to Badarpur border. At the border, she met a dumper driver, Shakib, who enticed her and took her to Noida. While returning to Delhi, Shakir raped her. Thereafter, he took her to a rented room at Tajpur Pahari, where Shakib, Shakir and their friend Mushtaq allegedly raped her, police sources said. A Delhi Police team arrested Mushtaq, 22, who hails from Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district, and Shakib, 22, of Badarpur. Shakir is absconding.

    Kejriwal target Gadkari

      India Against Corruption activist turned politician Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the BJP president Nitin Gadkari took undue favours from the Maharashtra government in allotment of land acquired from Vidarbha farmers for a public purpose. For their generations old land the farmers were compensated with a paltry sum of Rs. 5,000 per acre in 1981-82. The BJP has denied the charge saying the land was given by the Maharashtra government which could have refused to make the allotment.Kejriwal asked whether the BJP was an Opposition party or was it colluding with the Congress at the Centre and in the States. He alleged that Gadkari had expressed his inability to RTI activist Anjali Damania in raising the issue of irrigation scam in Maharashtra as, he said, the ruling party and the opposition do favours to one another. The activist, who had raised the issue of alleged nexus among DLF, Robert Vadra and the Haryana government, said such was the camaraderie that politicians like NDA convener Sharad Yadav and NCP chief Sharad Pawar came to Mr. Vadra’s defence. Mr. Kejriwal asked why the BJP was silent on the charges against Law Minister Salman Khurshid’s Trust.

    Naxals Blow anti Landmine Vehicle

      Naxalites triggered an IED blast blowing an anti-landmine vehicle in Bihar’s Gaya district, two CRPF troopers were killed and eight others seriously injured. The incident occurred at 6:20 a.m. near Chakarbanda forests in Barha village of the district when the CRPF vehicle was going for an operational duty. While two personnel inside the vehicle were killed on the spot, eight others were injured. Three troopers were seriously injured in the blast. An IAF helicopter from Ranchi has been rushed to evacuate the causalities. The troopers belong to 159 battalion of the force deployed in the state for anti Naxal operation tasks. It is suspected that Maoists used a huge quantity of explosives to detonate the Improvised Explosive Device.

    SHRC Orders Probe Against Adikesavulu Naidu

      Nasimunnisa has complained to the state human rights commission that former TTD chairman Adikesavulu Naidu has kidnapped her three sons and her husband was arrested on false charges. Admitting the complaint HRC has directed the Principal Secretary Home, DGP and Chittoor SP to give a comprehensive report on the matter before October 19. The complainant stated that her three sons were employeed in household of Adikesavulu Naidu at Kolar in Karnataka. According to her, all three had returned about 20 days ago as they were unhappy with the wages being paid of them. But on october 2, her sons went missing and she accused Naidu and his followers of kidnapping them.

    Pardhasaradhi's Relief Extended

    The AP high court on Wednesday extended the relief granted to minister K Parthasarathy in the FERA violation case for a few more weeks. Justice KG Shankar extended the relief to the ministertill October end. The penalty imposed by the authorities and upheld by the appellate authority of the Enforcement Directorate was stayed by the judge last week.

    HC Gives NEET Relief to AP

      A division bench of the high court comprising Justice V Eswaraiah and Justice N Ravi Shankar has stayed the applicability of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2013.The bench was dealing with a writ petition filed by the principal secretary, medical and health.The petitioner informed the court that the Article 371 (D) of the Constitution gave special status to the state and the Presidential order provided for local and non local reservations in admissions to professional courses. K G Krishna Murthy, additional advocate general, told the court that the state had to take to judicial recourse to protect the interests of students. The medium of the test, English and Hindi would also result in Telugu medium students suffering a severe loss.

    No change in Germany’s stand on Modi’s Gujarat

      Making it clear that Berlin’s stand remains unchanged, Germany’s Ambassador to India Micheal Steiner has said the country will not follow Britain in re engaging with Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s Gujarat or his administration when the State is in the midst of Assembly polls. Talking about the latest round of reforms unleashed by the Manmohan Singh government, Mr. Steiner said these initiatives changed the investment climate. The decisions allowing foreign direct investment in retail and opening up the aviation sector helped India improve its image and atmosphere of investments, he said.

    Yeddyurappa got 20 crores from mining company, says CBI

      Former Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa, has been accused of misusing his office to receive a Rs. 20 crore from  South West Mining Company in a quid pro quo deal for waiving Rs. 890 crore due to the State government from the company. CBI has filed the charge sheet in the CBI special court, named Mr. Yeddyurappa as the prime accused and included his sons B.Y. Vijayendra and B.Y. Raghavendra and son-in-law R.N. Sohan Kumar among the other accused. The charge sheet against Yeddyurappa comes on a day on which his aide and former Union Minister V. Dhananjay Kumar was expelled from the Bharatiya Janata Party, hours after the former Chief Minister announced that his new regional political party would be launched in December. According to the CBI investigation, the accused planned a criminal conspiracy in Bangalore and other places during 2006-10. Mr. Vijayendra, Mr. Raghavendra and Mr. Sohan Kumar purchased land for Rs. 40 lakh, notified for acquisition by the Karnataka government, by violating various laws. This land was de-notified by Mr. Yeddyurappa, by abusing his official position, charged the CBI. Charges have been filed against them under Sections 120-B r/w (read with) 109, 420, 468, and 471 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 7, 9, 11, 12, 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and Section 9 r/w Section 4 of the Karnataka Land (Restriction on) Transfer Act.

    Sankarao Abscanding

    Congress MLA P.Sankarrao is still out of reach for the cyberabad police for questioning in Green field land encroachment case. The Neredmet police said that the former minister left his house before they reach there and they are not able to communicate with him through cell phone. Sankar rao denied the police alligations and telling that he has gone for darshan to Sani singanapur near to Shiridi to offer his prayers. Police authorities are saying that there is no need to trace  MLA, and Ex minister Sankarao at this point of time and they still wait for a few time for his arrival to the Capital city of AP.

    Ex chief secretary spoke about Mopidevi

    “Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, the then minister for infrastructure, investments and ports, took more than keen interest in the Vanpic project”, former chief secretary A Raghottama Rao told the CBI. The CBI has recorded the former chief secretary's statement as a witness in the case. Mopidevi signed the Vanpic file on March 11, 2008, and entered into a MoU with the Vanpic representatives the same day and obtained the approval of the then chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy the following day for the deal. Going a step further, Mopidevi had made the notings on the file "For the purpose of viability of the projection, no need to modify Article 2 of the MoU. Discussed with principal secretary to CM. We may sign the MoU today and send the file to CM for post facto approval", the former CS said. The CM issued post facto approval on March 12, 2008. CBI charged the accused Mopidevi and others with making such unofficial changes without the approval of cabinet.

    Navy Helicopter Crashes at Goa Airport, 3 dead

      Helicopter crashed in goa: Chetak helicopter of the Indian Navy crashed at Dabolim Airport in Goa this morning. Both the pilots and one diver on board were killed during the crash. The chopper reportedly crashed during take off at the Dabolim airport. The chopper was flying from Mumbai to Mangalore and had stopped at Goa for refuelling. After the crash all operations at the airport have been temporarily suspended.

    Rani Mukherjee's Brother Arrested for Molesting TV Actress

      Rani Mukherjee's Brother Arrested: Bollywood actor Rani Mukerji's brother Raja was arrested in Versova on Sunday after a small time television actress accused him of molesting her. According to the victim, the incident happened when she had gone to meet Raja to narrate a script. The police said that Raja tried to molest the starlet in his car. The woman had gone to show Raja Mukherjee a script. He tried to molest her in the car. He said that following her complaint, Raja was sent for a medical test and then taken into police custody. He is currently lodged in Andheri jail. A case under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against him. He will be produced in court on Monday.

    Yash Chopra Admitted to Hospital

      Yash Chopra has been hospitalized yesterday. He was 80. He felt slight uneasiness on 11 October, the day after he attended Amitabh Bachchan’s 70th birthday. His family thought it would be better to admit him in the hospital for better monitoring of his health. He was treated at home initially but later his family admitted him to Lilavati hospital in Mumbai. Though there has not been major update of his health from the hospital authorities, it is speculated that it is only age related problem.
