Replacing Kiran to create new problems for party

  In wake of wide spread reports about CM Kiran Kumar Reddy resignation, Minister TG Venkatesh’s media statement is acknowledging the same. He said that he believes CM may not continue any further if the Center has made-up its mind to divide the state. Then, obviously all the Seemandhra ministers also would like to quit and intensify their fight for Samaikyandhra.   This is a clear hint that, CM has already resigned but official not declared, otherwise, TG Venkatesh may not dare to make such statement before media. Even, CM or his office has not condemned his statement. So, we can assume that reports about his resignation are genuine and it is just a matter of time to make it official.   But, if, he is relieved from duties, then obviously it will elevate his image among the agitating Seemandhra leaders and may provoke them revolt against the party. More over, finding a suitable person who is acceptable to both regional leaders is also a complicated task for Congress. If, it tries to install anyone from Telangana, then Seemandhra leaders may fight him by tooth and nail. If, a person from Andhra region is installed in his chair, then Telangana leaders may protest. In such case, the only option left the center is to go for imposing President’s rule until the bifurcation process is completed.

Is Rayala Telangana to prolong the T issue

  The reports about forming Rayala Telangana (RT) state by merging Ananthapur and Karnool districts into Telangana is the hottest news. Congress is said to be pushing this idea forward despite well aware of protests from both regions. Congress insistence for ‘RT’ might be part of its game plan to prolong the bifurcation issue.   One can’t say that Congress is unaware of the facts that ‘RT’ can’t become reality unless it has the consent and support of the local parties and the people. So, this proposal may be just a plan to buy some more time for it.   Further, its enthusiasm shown earlier for creating Telangana state might have died with the sudden emergence of Gorka Land demand. The Gorka leaders question the Center, when it can grant Telangana state, then why not Gorka Land? Currently, the Gorka Land leaders have called for a 72 hours bandh in Darjeeling area demanding separate state along with Telangana. This is also one reason that might evoke the Congress to put the bifurcation on hold.   Moreover, taking any decision on bifurcation leaves either group unhappy. So, Congress might be prefers to sustain blows from Telangana for which it is already habituated, instead of taking blows afresh from Seemandhra. So, viewing all these options, Congress might have grabbed this ‘RT’ idea, that is widely opposed by all the people of the state, which will give it enough time to prolong its decision on bifurcation.

Did CM Kiran Kumar Reddy resigns?

  Media is abuzz with the reports about CM Kiran Kumar Reddy resignation. Although, none of the concerned confirmed the reports, the buzz is he has submitted his resignation letter to Sonia Gandhi on Friday evening before leaving for Hyderabad. Kiran, who is strongly opposing bifurcation of the state, has said to be refused to oversee the process as CM of the state. According to reports, his resignation letter is lying with Sonia Gandhi’s political secretary Ahmad Patel. Congress high command, which is said to be made-up its mind over bifurcation and is heading for creation of ‘Rayala Telangana’ is likely to announce his successor’s name after the 3rd phase of Panchayat polls on 31st, revealed unconfirmed reports. In such case, he may come open in support of Samaikyandhra and join Seemandhra leaders in their fight.

Managing regional leaders first may help Congress

  If, the Congress high command is firm with its decision, then the first thing it has to do is control or ignore its regional leaders demands and pressures and go ahead with its decision, come what ever it may be. But, as long as it lets its leaders build pressures, it can’t take any decision in its life time. This will make the people of the state and parties believe that it is really not honest and incapable in resolving the issue. So, it is time for the Congress high command to gain control over its leaders, before thinking about resolving the burning issue. When, it is not capable to manage a handful of its leaders, then how can one expect resolve it a serious issue like bifurcation that is related to crores of people’s future?   If, the Congress plans to prolong this issue any further it not only tarnish its reputation in the state but also highlights its inability to resolve a serious issue. This will also puts the state back onto its unrest condition and worsen the lives of the people. The delay in taking decision may also provoke the hot blooded desperate T-youth to commit suicides. Finally, it is going to adversely show its impact in the next general elections. Hence, considering all these things, Congress high command must come with a concrete decision on bifurcation of the state without any further delay.

Is YSRCP going to dump its T-Wing

  The overnight change in stand on bifurcation of the state by YSRCP creates havoc among its T-leaders. They widely condemned the resignations of their counterparts in Rayalaseema and demanded the party to reveal its stand.   Hence, yesterday was a day of hectic activity for the party. While, some Seemandhra leaders, who discussed the situation with Jagan Mohan Reddy told the media that the resignations of the party MLAs don’t reflect the party opinion and it is their personal decisions. Party stand on bifurcation will be announced in a couple of days, they asserted.   Simultaneously, the T-leaders of the party also had meeting with Vijayamma and insisted her to make media statement to clear the air, but she has refused. However, they told the media that she has asserted them that there is no change in party stand and the resignations are individual decisions made based upon the local political situation. Party sticks to its statement of honoring the Telangana people sentiments made during its plenary meeting. However, Vijayamma’s denial to give media statement on the issue leaves its T-leaders disgruntled.   But, they agree that all these developments taken place are going to show their adverse affects on the 2nd and 3rd phase Panchayat elections. The verdict of the 2nd phase Panchayat elections may showcase the affects of YSRC’s change in stand.   If, there is any boosting to the party in the Seemandhra region, then the party is likely to go ahead with its new stand and likely to dump its T-branches. If, there is no positive affect on Seemandhra region, then Vijayamma may make media statement reiterating its stand on the issue. But, by the party has already lost its credibility in the T region because of its overnight decision.

Panchayat 2nd phase polling begins

  The 2nd phase of Panchayat elections begin today as per schedule. Around 1.5 crore voters in 6971 Panchayats in 22 districts are going to elect their Sarpanches and ward members today. Around 20,750 Sarpanches and 1,35000 ward members to be elected in today’s elections. Polling will be conducted till 1pm and counting of votes begin at 2pm. Results will be declared soon after counting.   The state Election Commission has postponed the elections in 60 Panchayats in Adilabad, 2 in Nizamabad and 5 in West Godavari district as they are affected with heavy rain fall. Elections for these 67 Panchayats will be held on July 31st during the 3rd phase of Panchayat elections.

Congress likely to go for Telangana

  According to latest reports from New Delhi, the high command has asked the CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana to tell what packages they are expecting for the Andhra state after bifurcation. They were also asked to send a detailed report to the union government about which place is to be made capital of the new state. CM has replied that he will constitute an experts committee to study this matter and send the report.   This is an official information leaked from Andhra Bhavan, where Seemandhra leaders are presently camping. CM is said to be conveyed this to the anxiously waiting leaders at Andhra Bhavan. If, the reports are genuine, then it is understood that Congress high command has made-up its mind on the burning issue and is going divide the state soon. CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is returning home tonight, which means end of consultations, as stated by Digvijay Singh a short while ago at the end of the Core Committee meeting.

After War Room, next Core Committee meeting

  Although, it is evident that final decision on bifurcation will be taken only in the CWC meeting to be held on July 28th, media is abuzz with the reports about the ongoing war room meeting between state political affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh, Ghulam Nabi Azad and the three heads of the state Congress party. Azad and Digvijay Singh have discussed with the three leaders individually over the issue. The meeting was just concluded. Again, all of they will attend the Core Committee meeting to be held around 4pm, in which the top brass of the party may also join. So far, there is no hints revealed over the party opinion on the issue. Both T-Congress and Seemandhra ministers camping in New Delhi are in constant touch with their ‘Star Bats Man’ and giving them necessary support and suggestions to win the game. Unconfirmed reports about Seemandhra leaders meeting the CM at Andhra Bhavan, is the only latest news. Except the media hype, there is no significant information leaks out from the war room.

Two Cong.MLAs resigned

  It appears the Rayalaseema Congress leaders are now feeling the heat generated with YSRCP MLAs resignations. As if to safeguard their political interests in their constituencies and to withstand the challenge thrown by YSRCP, one by one the Congress MLAs in Rayalaseema region start shooting their resignation letters to Speaker.   Yesterday Kamalapuram MLA Veera Shiva Reddy quits his party and MLA post demanding Samaikyandhra. Today Sarvepalli MLA Adhala Prabhakar Reddy and Nellore city MLA Sridhar Krishna Reddy have resigned to their posts on the same grounds.   However, PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana has told the media he is not aware of their resignations and it is mandatory for everyone to abide by the party decision.

Core Committee meeting likely to be cancelled

  The three heads of the state Congress party CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, Dy.CM Damodara Rajanarasimha and PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana, who are summoned by high command are expected to attend the core committee meeting scheduled for Friday. The meeting is intended to hear the final arguments of the three leaders on the state bifurcation issue, before taking a final call on the issue at its CWC meeting.   However, the meeting is likely to be cancelled as the Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh may not be able to attend it due to ill health. So, a mini core committee is likely to take place, excluding Sonia Gandhi. The three leaders of the state may present their views and arguments to this committee, which will convey the same to Prime Minister and Sonia Gandhi.   But, the reports about core committee meeting cancellation disappoints the T-Congress leaders, who are anxious to push the matter through the core committee in their favor. Some of them suspect and worried whether the Seemandhra have influenced the high command in calling-off the meeting in the nick of the moment. Much to their worries, there is a sudden change in political situation in the state arise out of YSRCP MLAs resignations. Both T-Congress and Seemandhra Ministers are lobbying in their favor at New Delhi.

Eleven MLAs of YSR Party resigned

  Soon after Congress MLA Veera Shiva Reddy quits his post demanding Samaikyandhra, YSR Congress party MLAs also followed his path. Total 11 MLAs belong to YSRCP have resigned to their posts until now.   First Balineni Srinivasa Reddy(Ongole) has resigned and then he was followed by Amarnath Reddy(Rajampeta); Gurnath Reddy (Ananthapuram); N.Prasanna Kumar Reddy (Kovur); Shoba Nagi Reddy (Allagadda); Mekapati Chandrashekar Reddy (Udayagiri); Srikanth Reddy(Rayachoti); P.Ramakrishna Reddy( Macharla); Karunakar Reddy, (Tirupati); Srinivasulu (Railway Koduru); K.Rama Chandra Reddy(Rayadurgam).   All the MLAs have faxed their resignation letters to Speaker Nadendla Manohar in speaker format. They demand the Congress party to reveal its stand on bifurcation issue. However, Gattu Ramachandra rao, the official spokes person of YSR Congress party has described their resignations as personal and they are no reflects party opinion on the issue.

Can Veera Shiva inspire the rest

  Congress MLA G.Veera Shiva Reddy from Kamalapuram in Kadapa district has resigned to his post and also quits party in protest against the party move for bifurcation. He has sent his resignation to PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana in speaker format.   Yesterday around 14 Seemandhra ministers have decided to give a final call to their high command to keep the state united. They also planning to quit their posts, if their high command goes against their wish. So, Veera Shiva Reddy’s resignation may oblige them to follow his path. But, the question is can they dare their high command’s decision? Even if they dare, they can’t agitate for Samaikyandhra, because there is no proper response from the people for their meetings. In such case, they have no other option but to abide by the party high command decision.

Fate of 1500 state students hangs in air in US

      Around 1500 students hails from AP and several hundreds from other states in the country find themselves struck with the closure orders of The University of North Virginia, USA.   On Tuesday, the State Council for Higher Education in Virginia has revoked the license of the university for failing to gain accreditation. The students may be given refund of their fee paid to the university, but they are unlikely get admissions in any other universities as their university lacks the accreditation. The university has lost its accreditation with the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools in year 2008 due non compliance of records and procedures. Then a legal battle kicked off by Daniel Ho, who claims ownership over the university with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program, but lost. Then the university has requested the concerned authorities to let it run the business, while it efforts to retain its Accreditation. But, when it fails by December 2010, the council audited the records and again found several deficiencies. Then, the ICE agents have raided the university in year 2011 and seized its records for an investigation regarding foreign students studying in the university on an F1 visa. ICE found that the school’s records were not sufficient. In the mean time, the concerned authorities have served several warnings to the university management raising objections over the irregularities taking place regarding Accreditation, records maintenance, violating the Visa norms and several issues, but the university fails to meet the requirements. So, the last nail on the coffin was hammered on Tuesday by the State Council for Higher Education, which ordered for the closure of the university. Sylvia Rosa-Casanova, the director of SCHEV for private and out-of-state postsecondary education has said that the university was asked to refund the tuition fee paid by the students by tapping into a $915,380 deposit the council required of the school. “Until we know the exact number of students and the type of students attending we don’t know what happens step by step. The school is also required to store student records and provide transcripts for those seeking to transfer. The impact on students is unknown at this point. Because it’s unaccredited we don’t know that any institution would accept these students,” Rosa-Casanova said. This leaves around thousands of students studying in the university, who hails from India and from several other countries in a tragic state. The Telugu Associations in US are planning to extend all possible help to the state students.  

Did Congress gains with T factor

  TRS, which has mainly relied upon the T sentiment, has neglected to build the party from grassroots level. As a result, when Congress hijacks its T sentiment and as it is making a long strides towards Telangana formation, TRS lost the Panchayati battle to Congress. People now are confident that Congress is going to create Telangana state very soon. So, it positively reflected in the 1st phase Panchayat elections. If, Congress could send any further positive signals on Telangana before the 2nd and 3rd phase elections, definitely it is going to make a clean swipe in Telangana, thus leaving no space for TRS. If, Congress has decided to create Telangana state, it will keep the process in progress till the next general elections, so as to leave its impact on the people and earn good returns from the people. In such case, TRS will have to find a good reason to blame Congress party, otherwise it has to loose the battle to Congress, the way it looses now in the Panchayat elections.

University of Northern Virginia Forced to Shut Down:1000 to 1500 Telugu People Suffers

      The Annandale campus of the University of Northern Virginia was forced to shut down after the State Council for Higher Education in Virginia revoked the school's operating license Tuesday.   The school is now being forced to refund students tuition the school has already collected for the fall semester by tapping into a $915,380 deposit the council required of the school, said Sylvia Rosa-Casanova, SCHEV’s director for private and out-of-state postsecondary education.   The for-profit university, located at 7601 Little River Turnpike, failed four audits by State Council for Higher Education and has been unable to regain its accreditation for about five years, according to the Washington Post. Calls to the university for comment on Tuesday were not returned. The school’s official website also made no mention of the State Council for Higher Educationdecision. This isn't the first time the university has raised red flags for the State Council for Higher Education, which makes higher education public policy recommendations to the Governor of Virginia and General Assembly. State Council for Higher Education  audited the school back in 2007 and found “items of non-compliance," the Post reported. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools revoked University of Northern Virginia's accreditation in 2008. The university has since operated without accreditation, which is required by Virginia law. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement also raided the university back in 2011 after the Chronicle of Higher Education as part of an investigation into whether the school was providing foreign students with student visas as a way to enter and stay in the U.S. The school briefly stopped admitting foreign students, but no charges were filed after the raid.

MPs letter to US takes ugly political twists

  The three letters said to be signed by 65 MPs belonging to 12 different political parties appealing the US Government not to grant US Visa to Narendra Modi, stirs an ugly political war between BJP and the ruling Congress parties, after nine MPs, including Congress MPs have denied signing any such letters.   Seetaram Yechuri (CPM);Vandana Chawan, Sanjay Naik (NCP);Anil Lad, Jayanth Rao Awale, Mathrao Kowase (Congress);Achyuthan (CPM);Pradeepa Bhattacharya, Jay Abraham have categorically stated that they have not signed any such letters. They allege that their signatures might have forged.    But, the independent MP Adheeb, who masterminds this idea has sharply reacted to MPs allegations of forging their signs. He said it is unfortunate to hear some MPs blaming him, who have signed in his presence. He challenged them to go court against him, if they believe that he has forged their signs. He welcomes the BJP move to complaint the matter to Speaker and said he is ready to face any investigation.   BJP alleges that Congress is acting as hand in gloves in this affair, which conspired all this to defame Narendra Modi. BJP leader Prakash Jawdekar alleges Congress that it puts the country reputation at stake fearing to face Modi.   But, Congress also strongly retards to BJP allegations. It states that Country’s reputation and interests are important for it than anything else. It suggests BJP to lodge a complaint with Speaker on this matter. It denies any involvement in this affair.

Chandrababu spits fire on YSRCP

  Although, Sharmila and Vijayamma often criticizing Chandrababu with strong words, he has never replied to them in the recent times, as he believes it is just waste of his precious time. So, his party leaders used to react to them whenever they feel necessary. However, Chandrababu took the occasion of his party victory in Panchayat elections for reacting to their allegations.   “Now it is proved that YSRCP is not even worth considering a regional party . Its influence is limited to one and half districts only. So, we can call it a sub regional party. YSRCP is solely standing upon the money looted by its president Jagan Mohan Reddy. Everyone knew about its factionist background. Despite its president Jagan Mohan Reddy accused and arrested in illegal assets cases, its leaders are boasting about him and his honesty. I wonder how people can so boldly lie to people. They not even feel guilt for their misdeeds, instead arguing that they are the most honest and trust worthy leaders. It is a party filled with thieves, murderers, cheaters. Every now an then, police arrest their leaders for cheating the people or looting the banks or in murder or fake currency circulation cases. They seemed to be inspired by their party president. While, the party president is in jail, now its leaders are also landing in the jails facing criminal cases. Is this their trust worthiness?” asked Chandrababu.

New twist in MPs letter to Obama

    Media is abuzz with the reports about the three letters signed by 65 MPs of different political parties that were faxed to US President Barrack Obama appealing not to grant US Visa to Narendra Modi. Seetaram Yechuri (CPI) is also said to be one among those signed the letters. But, he condemned the reports.   Speaking to media he said “I have never signed any such letter and nor interested in writing letters on such issues to USA. It appears to be a cut-and-paste job to forge my signature. I am not even aware of such letters until media reports. I condemn such practices.”   His statement reveals that some political party or politicians, who are opposing Narendra Modi might cooked this idea of writing letters to White House. So, they take pains to forge the MPs’ signatures on the letters so as to push it through the White House. Hence, government should take initiative and find whether the MPs have actually signed the letters or not and should immediately take action.
