Kejriwal takes the fight to next level

Delhi government lead by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal always found in war mode with the central government on issue or the other since last one year. Like any others, they both blame each other for playing foul game. A fresh battle kick started with CBI officials’ raiding on Delhi Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar’s office two days back.   Arvind Kejriwal directly blames Prime Minister Narendra Modi for it and BJP refuted his allegations. Today, he took the fight to next level alleging that CBI officials raided his Chief Secretary’s office to find any papers related DDCA scam in which Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was alleged to be involved and certainly not in connection with the case CBI officials are stating. He alleges that CBI officials may took the copies of the DDCA papers from his chamber and hurriedly left after he comes to media condemning CBI raids on his office. Kejriwal asks after all why Arun Jaitley was so worried in DDCA scam if he believes is innocent. Kejriwal has released the copies of the papers recovered from his Chief Secretary’s office which are no way related to any case. They are office stationery indent papers signed by some officials.   CBI officials and Arun Jaitley both refuted his allegations. CBI officials stated that Rajendra Kumar has been booked for allegedly favoring a private firm during 2007-14. CBI alleges that Rajendra Kumar helped the private firm in getting five contracts worth around nine crores. Hence, he has been booked under 120-B of the IPC (criminal conspiracy), and 13(2), 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.   Interestingly, BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha also made some interesting remarks on this matter. He strongly objected Kejriwal abusing the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At the same time he also questioned the timing of CBI raids on Kejriwal’s office. He tweets, “In politics, timing is everything. This was definitely not the right time for the raid. Hope wish & pray that this does not boomerang on us.”

Delhi CM fumes upon Modi for CBI raids

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal virtually bursts like volcano on Prime Minister Narendra Modi after CBI sleuths conducted raid on his Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar’s office and seized some files today morning. CBI raids on the Chief Secretary office in the 3rd floor of the Delhi Secretariat in which Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s office was also located.   CBI conducted raids on Rajendra Kumar’s office in connection with the CNG Fitness scam case. He was alleged to be involved in the scam and abusing his powers in favor of a private firm during last few years. CBI sleuths have seized some documents from Rajendra Kumar’s office and also registered a case against him.   CM Arvind Kejriwal sharply reacting on this development straight away blames Prime Minister Narendra Modi for it. He said Prime Minister Modi is a coward and psychopath. He tweets “CBI sleuths are actually searching in my office and checking files in my chamber in the Secretariat. Let Modi say which file he wants? CBI raids my office…when Modi couldn’t handle me politically. He resorts to this cowardice. I am the only CM who dismissed, on my own a minister and a senior officer on charges of corruption and handed their cases to CBI. If CBI had any evidence against Rajender, why didn’t they share it with me? I would have acted against him?” Union Minister for Urban Development swiftly reacts to his allegations. He said “It becomes a fashion for Arvind Kejriwal to take Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name for every silly thing. It becomes a fashion for him to quarrel with the Central Government and drag Modi’s name into it. Prime Minister has nothing to do with the CBI raids.”

India to manufacture Drones

The unmanned combat aerial vehicles generally called as UCAVs or combat drones proved to be very useful and cost effective machines in dealing with the dreaded terrorists’ targets. India also possesses some 200 machines from Israel long back and used them during Kargil war in year 1999.   Now, India wants to manufacture them on its own. Actually, the previous UPA government has sanctioned Rs. 12.50 crores for conceptual and feasibility study on Project Ghatak, UCAVs in year 2009 and the report was submitted in year 2013. Now, it is in evaluation process by the expert committee constituted by Finance Ministry. Once it gives clearance to this project, it will be immediately taken up, said defence Rao Inderjit Singh few days back. This indigenous project will be taken up with an estimated cost of Rs.2, 650 crores.   Interestingly, the Kaveri engines that failed in India’s first indigenous Tejas fighter plane project will be utilized for this Ghatak UCAVs so as the Rs. 2,839 crore have been spent on it in 1989 will not go waste. Kaveri model engines were rejected as they failed to provide enough thrust to Tejas fighter planes, but the study reveals that it is enough for light weighted UCAVs. India is likely to seek Israel help in this project as it already has possessed 200 UCAVS from it. Indian Government decides not to waste time as it may take nearly 10 years to launch the first piece of this Ghatak Project if cleared now.   Currently, the armed forces possessing two models- Israeli Heron and Searcher-II UAVs and Israeli Harop Killer UCAVs. The Heron and Searcher-II UAVs are capable for firing missiles and precision-guided munitions at enemy targets and then returning to home bases to re-arm for further missions. Israeli Harop Killer UCAVs are self-destructive ones.

We won’t mind if Salman acquitted: Victims

The victims of Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s hit and run case reacts differently on Bombay High Court verdict that acquits the actor. The five victims of this case are daily wage laborers and one of them killed on the spot when Salman Khan drives his car over him while they were sleeping on a foot path. Remaining four escaped with serious injuries.   The family of deceased Nurullah Sharif’s wife and son and his family members are currently living at Malwani. Police says that they were paid Rs. 10 lakh as compensation following orders from the lower court. But, victim’s widow Farida Begum and their son Feroz says that didn’t get any money till now as they are unable to produce certain documents to the court. Reacting on the court verdict, “We don’t mind if he is acquitted, but we urge him to bail us out of our miseries the way the court acquits him from the case. If he could help us financially we will be grateful to him,” said Feroz.   Mohammad Kalim Iqbal Pathan and Muslim Niyamat Shaikh, who were injured in this accident returned to their native villages in Uttar Pradesh. They were given Rs. 3 lakh each but said more than half the amount spent for treatment and balance amount goes for roaming around police stations, courts and legal expenses. The lengthy trial of the case has made their lives miserable as often they have to attend the police station and court. They left Mumbai as they are unable to cope up with the unpredicted developments taking place after the accident. They both are leading miserable lives in their villages. They also urge the actor for some monitory help.   Mannu Khan and Mohammad Abdulla Sheikh both are still working as laborers in small bakeries in Mumbai. They are also leading miserable lives and expecting some help from Bollywood super star Salman Khan. Earlier, Salman Khan appealed the lower court to consider waving off his punishment keeping in view of his social services. Hence, if he could extend his help to his victims first, people who are disagreeing with the court verdict may ignore it.
