The Government of India has selected total 10 ancient cities across the country and accord them ‘heritage cities’ status. Out of the ten cities, Amaravati in the AP state and Warangal in Telangana state got the heritage tags. The intention is to link-up these ten heritage centers and thus increasing the tourist traffic from within and foreign countries.
