Supreme Court bench comprising Justices P.Sadhashivam and M.Y. Iqbal in their separate judgments given in Jagan Mohan Reddy and others bail petitions have unanimously agreed that the growing white collar crimes in the country need to firmly handle by the courts otherwise they will ruin the financial condition of the country. They agreed that it become very hard to reach to roots of this kind of financial crimes as they were interlinked and spreads everywhere.
They agreed with CBI arguments and dismissed bail petitions of Jagan Mohan Reddy and other two in the case. While canceling the interim bail granted to Vijayasai Reddy by the trial court and which was later approved by state High Court, they opine that both the courts have made a mistake by taking other issues that are not related to his bail petition into consideration and granted him bail. They said the courts would have mainly considered to issues related to his bail. They have agreed that letting Vijayasai Reddy and others on bail will adversely effect the investigation and so have rejects their bail petitions. If, one could see the way the two justices reacts on white collared crimes in overall, they seem don’t want to go soft on Jagan Mohan Reddy, merely for he spent in jail for 11 months without facing trial. Canceling Vijayasai Reddy’s interim bail is also clearly reflects their thoughts in dealing with this kind of white collar crimes.
