Supreme Court has rejected the review petition filed by Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt today. He appealed the court review its judgment given against him in which it convicted him with 3.5 years jail term in connections with illegal arms case of 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case. The court has said that his petition is not worth consideration. The court also rejeted the review petitions of 6 others involved in this case. Hence, Sanjay dutt should surrneder before the TADA court on or before 15th May to undergo 3.5 years jail term.
Earlier, when he approached the same asking for 6 months extension, the court gave him only 4 weeks to complete his commitments in Bollywood. But, this time the court bluntly rejected his review petition and asked him to surrender on the given time. Several Bollywood producers, who have heavily invested on his films will now have to face huge losses with his return to jail. The only chance left for Sanjay Dutt is to beg for mercy with Maharashtra Governor. But, earlier he has made it clear that he would rather prefer to go to jail than being hitted by the political parties for seeking mercy. So, obviously, he may surrender himself on the given date.
