ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN: On Tuesday, General Raheel Sharif, Military Chief of Pakistan said, “Peace in Afghanistan is vital to Pakistan’s own interest and I call for better management of our shared border. We are sincerely playing our active role for peace in Afghanistan”. In a ceremony that has been arranged at the military headquarters to mark the annual defense day of the country, he said that, they want to establish an effective border management mechanism in concern with the Afghan government. He was certain that a better peace environment would lead to their shared economic progress.
