Trinamool Congress party Chief Mamata Benarji, who snapped ties with Congress lead UPA some time ago, has again comes to its rescue at its critical times. Although, Mamata did not come open about extending her party support to UPA, hints for the same in other words.
In her latest post in face book social networking site has said that, whatever the decision taken by the Central government in dealing with Sri Lankan issue at United Nations Human Rights Council meeting to be held in the next month, her party will support it. She categorically states when dealing in a nation to nation issue, all the people of the country should stand unite as one and support the government, leaving aside their differences. She has expressed her concern for the fellow Tamil people living Sri Lanka, who are being tortured by the Lankan Military, but prefers to support Indian Government’s stand.
Her unexpected support which comes as a blessing for the beleaguered Congress party eases its pressures to certain extent. According to latest reports Congress managers in Kolkota have already swings into action and begun negotiations with Trinamool seeking its support to UPA government. Most probably Mamata may reveal her party stand today itself.
