It was really quite embarrassing situation for Telangana BJP leaders to sit cool and calm, while all other political parties in the state are hitting the streets protesting merger of seven mandals of Telangana with AP and Polavaram Project. BJP even witnessed the fury of the people with one of its party office attacked by some activists of Telangana Jagruthi Forum. Yet, BJP leaders are forced to sit quite as their party has geared for passing the Polavaram Project amendment bill in parliament.
However, BJP Telangana president Kishan Reddy wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealing revoke the decision for the sake of tribal, but he didn’t get any reply from high command. So, being a disciplined party leader, he remains silent and also tried to defend his party from TRS attacks. He asks Telangana Chief Minister KCR, why did he met Sonia Gandhi and posed for a group photo with family members ignoring this point then? He reminds him and Jaipal Reddy, how they ignored these points merely to get separate Telangana state. He asked them why they are making so much noise now, when they settles for Telangana agreeing these terms and condition in AP reorganization bill-2014. He said it is unfair to blame BJP, when they themselves have agreed for the bifurcation with these conditions. He suggested KCR try to concentrate on resolving the problems of the people instead of giving lectures sitting in the office.
