Special court to take-up Italy marines’ case

Following the Supreme Court’s directions, government of India has asked the Delhi High Court to form a special court to deal with the two Italian marines’ case. Hence, the High Court has constituted a special court, to be run by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Patiala house court. It will be interesting to see how the court will deal with the two marines Massimilano Latorre and Salvatore Girone, who were returned to India only after Indian Government has assured to Italy government that its two marines will not be arrested and nor will be given death sentence by the Indian courts. Whether, the government pressurize the Indian courts to abide by its assurance given to Italy or let the courts decide how to handle the marines’ case and face the ire of European community at international platforms.
The trail is likely to start from Monday.
