Google to set-up a permanent office at Hyderabad

 

The Telangana IT and Communications secretary Harpreet Singh has announced that Google that is running its operations from a rented building in Hyderabad city is soon going to build a permanent complex in the city. A MoU with the state government of Telangana will be signed soon for this purpose. If so, it would be the third campus for Google after the US and the UK. The complex is likely to host all the operations related to the southern parts of the country.

 

Apart from Google, Airtel, Cisco, Vodafone and a Taiwanese Company are also keen to open their offices in the city. They found huge potential for business in the city that is gradually turning into Wi Fi enabled.

 

He also disclosed that the design of the proposed incubator with a cost of Rs.30 crore is also ready and expected to complete the construction works before second quarter of next year. Telangana government is planning to inaugurate this complex on June 2nd that is on Telangana state formation day. The incubator will have 70,000 sft. floor space with 800 seats and an initial capacity to house 500 startups. This facility will enable the tech start-ups to conduct experiments of their projects before or during launching of their projects in full scale. He said Chief Minister KCR will brief the media after finalizing these plans and agreements.
