GHMC officials are likely to seize Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal in Hyderabad to recover tax dues that mounts to Rs.12 crores by the Stadium owners Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). They warned the management that they will not hesitate to seize the stadium if they fails to clear the dues before Monday. Their timing for seizure of stadium proved to be very ideal for GHMC, but puts the HCA on toes as an IPL match is slated for Monday in the same stadium. GHMC officials said that they chose this last option to recover the tax dues as the HCA has been ignoring their notices for a longtime. HCA has no strong excuse to evade tax as it is in a sound financial condition. So, HCA seems to be clean bowled with the last ball thrown by the GHMC just ahead of the IPL match.
