Is BJP wooing Jagan Mohan Reddy?

BJP leaders Vishnu Kumar Raju and Kavuri Sambhasiva rao have created an unnecessary suspicion about having a tie-up between BJP and YSR Congress party in near future. While, Raju talked to Jagan Mohan Reddy in his chamber yesterday, Kavuri said YSR Congress party will be dissolved before next general elections. He further said that only TDP and BJP will remain in the fray in the next elections. If seen together their move and statement, BJP appears to be insisting Jagan Mohan Reddy to dissolve his YSR Congress party and join hands with it. Perhaps, it may be too early to think any such things, but BJP leaders’ acts and statements are hinting the same.

Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, who has a good rapport and relations with the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, has made a statement about BJP-TDP relationship during his recent visit to Hyderabad. He said that though we have some difference of opinion on various issues, we are continuing our alliance because of the friendship we have between our two parties. In other words he might be saying that the rapport between two parties is not that good as expected to be.

However, if BJP is really serious about emerging as a super power in the state, first it should concentrate on strengthen itself in the state rather than trying such ideas and making such statements. First of all, the way TDP is restraining from speaking against the BJP or NDA government, BJP high command also should ensure its leaders in the state restrain from making such comments to keep its relations with TDP intact till the next elections. Otherwise, it would be sending wrong message to TDP and strain their relations.
