BJP and Shivsena parties have snapped their two and half decades long relations as they fails to strike a deal on seat sharing in Maharashtra state Assembly elections. Actually, BJP that demands 50% seats that is 144 out of 288 seats has agreed to settle for 130 seats, but Shivsena denies its proposal. Hence, it leads to their break-up.
In fact, this development would be considered as a blessing for ruling Congress party, but it is also struck with same problem with its alliance partner Sharad Pawar led NCP. They are also likely to snap ties for the same reasons. Therefore, if the voters split between these four contenders, it may lead to hung Assembly. However, retaining power in the state is very essential for Congress party otherwise it may spread its adverse effects on Rahul Gandhi’s political future also, which is now blinking.
