Two months ago, while speaking in an award function, Aamir Khan has made a few controversial remarks about growing intolerance in India. Intolerance or no intolerance, Aamir’s statement has created huge waves in the social media. A few people did support him, but the majority has fired back. The BJP led Government has certainly felt the pinch in his comments. Now! It’s time for a tit for tat. The government has discontinued Aamir Khan in the Incredible India campaign. Though the government is saying that it has nothing to do with the remarks of Aamir, a few eyebrows did rise at the decision. Union culture and tourism minister Mahesh Sharma has clarified that ‘it was just a contractual matter and the contract of 2.96 crores with McCann ad agency has come to an end. Since Aamir was hired by the McCann agency his role too would cease’.

This time, Aamir Khan has shown some restraint while commenting on the decision. "Whether I am brand ambassador or not, India will remain Incredible, and that's the way it should be," was his response! Speculations were pouring in that Amitabh Bachchan would be approached to be the new brand ambassador for the Indian tourism. The Big B is already promoting the Gujarat tourism. The Mr. Clean image of Bachchan is said to be favoring him. After all, he is not INTOLERANT!
