Breath- The Life Changing Mantra-6

Friends, let us now explore how we breathe when we are involved in different activities. All the activities in our life should be synchronous  to breath. Certain activities need more awareness of the breath. And the art is mastered once there is awareness and synchronicity.

Last week, I wanted to help my friend in the kitchen because she came forward to prepare  biryani for me. Without any hesitation she declined my help not to hurt me but to give me the best biryani!! Yes for her, cooking is like meditation. She doesn't need anybody around.

This incident triggered me to write this article. My friend enjoys cooking. If at all she ends up preparing not so tasty biryani, I was wondering what could be the reason for it? Apart from all the recipe facts, I feel her presence into the dish might have missed. As already discussed in my previous articles, because of some preoccupied thoughts or mental state her breath rhythm changes. Ultimately, breath has an influence on the dish. Just think about it !!!

What is it that you enjoy doing? While doing certain things in life, you can "just be You". And such doings are not result oriented. You know at the end you are elevated. The result just wouldn't matter against the intense satisfaction of doing something you love!!!

Watch a dancer perform. Singer sing. Sports person perform in the field. Observe a potter working on the wheel. Painter working on easel. When a teacher who is very passionate about what she teaches in the classroom. And the list goes on and on...... Only when they breathe into the activity they do, where the breath and the activity sync with each other, the end product would be wonderful! Doing the activity in a very calm and composed environment, not really distracted by the surroundings but aware of everything that is surrounded would definitely help.

Let's explore an example, say sports. If the player is not in his natural state, he wouldn't be breathing in a synchronous way. He would be tensed or anxious. This would show up in the result. He might end up not performing well. Here, his breath does make a difference.

Considering another example, a woman loves dancing but she has no interest towards cooking. But she has to cook! Well, all she has to do is observe the way she breathes/the breathing pattern while dancing, and try bringing in the same kind of synchronicity in cooking. I am not a great cook myself but I wanted to give the best and tasty food for my family. So I started using my breath to induce love into cooking.

If you are in such a situation as well, you can go ahead and do the same. That's how you can actually master all arts!

Here's how you can start with this process.... First, find out which activity interests you the most. Observe the breathing pattern while doing that activity and also how your breath syncs with your work. Try to sync that type of breath with an activity that is less interesting for you.
Soon it'll be almost impossible for you to find an art that doesn't interest you!!

Well, now your hearts would lead you, for what you love and what you don't, would be your love!

Think about any successful player and watch a recorded video of his successful performance and not so successful one. Observe the difference. This might help you to observe your own.

All said and all done. I hope by now all the readers who are following this article have started enjoying observing breath. Who ever started in-between I would suggest to read and practice from the first article. Give enough time to start with the next one. Complete all of them to be able to enjoy breathing into three breathing spaces.

Happy adventure!!!
