Which accessories suits your body shape

These days, everyone is talking about body types. Pear, apple, diamond, hourglass; people are figuring out the best way to dress as per their body types. It is really good in a way, as once you are aware of your body type and thereby what suits you/ does not suit you, its easy to build a wardrobe and dressing up will not be so stressful. In one of my earlier articles – dressing for your body type, I had described the various female body types in detail and what sort of clothes would suit them. Now I will talk about how to accessorize according to your body types. So gear up for some interesting accessorizing tips!
Jewelry: When trying to accessorize body shape you must focus on all those advantages you want to point out and invest all of your strength into choosing pieces that will make all of your wonderful features pop. Proud of your slim hands? Wear a flattering bracelet and a statement ring! Love your long neck – wear long earrings or a collar necklace to show it off.
Belts: Narrow belts are super hot this season, but wide obi belts are rocking as well. So which ones should you opt for? The choice of a belt should depend on the length of your torso and overall height which means that shorter ladies or ladies with shorter torsos or apple and pear body types look best with a narrow belt and taller ladies or ladies with longer torsos could benefit from wider belts. The in between ones can carry off both. If you have an apple body shape your tunic will look best if you belt it at high waist. Rectangular shaped ladies such need to wear their belts on their natural waistline because this makes the body look curvier while the ladies with natural curves need to find the narrowest part of their waist to point out.
Bags: Bags can make or break your look for there are the determiners of balance and proportion in your look. Petite women should choose small to medium sized bags rather than their oversized alternatives while curvier gals need to stay away from anything tiny and opt for larger pieces. Also choose the handle length depending on your body types. If you are heavy on the hips, you don’t want a heavy bag at the stomach or hip level but a sleek rectangular one. The same holds good in the case of chunky bags lined up at bust level. If you have small busts, then this will balance your look but if you are really busty then it will make look like an inverted triangle.
Shoes: Just when you thought shoes don’t depend on body types, I am going to upset you for a bit and tell you the truth. They Do!! Wide ankle straps make your legs seem shorter and bulkier so avoid them if you are heavy on the bottom. Classic pumps, simple ballet flats and smooth leather boots without any details will slim you down and make you look taller. In case you’re petite avoid chunky boots, and bulky platforms. Strappy sandals and ballerinas will look prettier on you.
