The Kerala Kasavu white saree has moved up from the south and has made it way across India and has been worn by many celebrities including Aishwarya, Rani Mukherjee, Sonam and others.
Not being confined any more to the traditional gold border stripes the new designs off late come with a variety of patterns in the gold border without deviating from the original stripes .It’s simple, elegant and at the same time you can up the glamour quotient by adding a few accessories depending on the occasion. If you are going for a wedding, you could try wearing temple jewelry or simple gold jewelry. If it’s a party or an evening out, just a single a gold brooch chain, with gold jhumkas and a few bangles is all you need to stand out in the crowd. You could wear it with contrast colour blouses or pattern blouses or the plain white blouse can be stitched with bit of gold tissue at the borders to complete the white chrome look.
Apart from the sarees the Kasavus have also diversified into Skirts for little girls, and now you also have salwar sets which have come in these patterns which can either be stitched like a chudidar or salwar. They are not too expensive either and can start from RS 700 .If the Zari used is pure than the cost goes up.
